Airsoft skirmish game-specific information web sites
If you aren't listed here, and want to be, please drop me a line!!
- Hatchet's Guide to Airsoft
- Interesting, funny in places (I've met him a couple of times, and he's even funnier in person - evil sense of humour, that lad!), and if plagiarism is the ultimate form of praise, then THANKS mate! As you might guess, he's aimed (sic) his site to giving fairly good, comon sense advice to newbie and experienced player alike. Nice job, mate!
- Updated on a regular basis, Arnie's Airsoft is a damn good resource for news, views, and items of interest to any airsofter. Contains articles, message boards, and a great deal more. Recommended.
- The UK Airsoft Map UPDATED LINK!
- Run by Frank Bothamley, who runs Free Fire Zone, a playing site near Peterborough, also runs the UK Airsoft Map project, which he keeps regularly updated. This map has links to - as far as I can determine - every Airsoft playing site in the UK; It's well worth a visit, if you're looking for somewhere to play.
- The Federation of Airsoft Standards and Training is a fledgeling organisation in the United States of America, which was spurred into being by proposed legislation designed to ban Airsoft in the state of New Jersey. While there's nothing there apart from the holding page at the moment, I have no doubt that this site will grow into a most interesting information site for those in the USA.
- The UKASGB is a federation of site owners who have come together to represent site ownership to the industry and government.
As opposed to bodies representing airsoft players, the UKASGB is concerned only with matters that effect owning and running a site – insurance, safety and mutual support. - All forms of legitimate shooting activities have been under threat in the UK for many years. The pastime is seen by pressure groups, some politicians and much of the media as unnecessary and, in some way, a danger to the public. Airsoft gaming is no exception to this kind of prejudice and is in many ways a primary legislative target.
Many other shooting activities have representative bodies which act to protect their particular branch of the sport but until now there has been no such body for the Airsoft community. The United Kingdom Airsoft Players Association (or UKAPA for short) intends to plug this gap.
By becoming a member of UKAPA you will be supporting the only organisation in the UK which has the protection and promotion of Airsoft as its primary objective.
Linking to Practical Airsoft...
If you want to link to this site, you can do it in one of two ways:
You can add the following HTML code to your site, shown below. A quick note, before you do - PLEASE, leave the target in the code - other sites I've been linked to in the past, that used frames, sometimes omitted the '_blank' element, and the result was my site appearing in their frames. Damned disconcerting, at best, rude at worst - please ensure the code is copied EXACTLY! Thanks!
Or, you can use one of our banners (the preferred method, and shown below), with the following HTML:
This results in a link looking like the banner above (remember to download the banner image to your site!)...
Alternatively, you can use this banner, below (remember to download the banner image to your site!)...
