October '04 releases from Tokyo Marui
Well that was unexpected!

Chuck Mahon (aka ‘Stone’ – Team Strikers) dropped me a line courtesy of Takehiro Yamamoto, with a link containing some great shots from the TM booth at the latest trade show posted in a forum in Japan.

There's some nice cutaway shots of the new "Boys" G18c, showing the very AEG inspired gearbox design. As you can see from the shots there's no room in the grip for the battery, instead the slide elevates upwards to allow access to the battery stored in the slide alongside the barrel.

This is NOT the EBB G18c from Marui, it is the first in a new line of "Boys" electric pistols, designed specifically for over 18s. Note that a lamp unit and long style magazines have been announced for the Boys 18c too.

The new M4 S-System is a new varient upon the tried and tested M4 mouldings, but despite being what could be called by some just a simple rerelease, it does feature a heap of metal parts. Whilst the SIR style front end is plastic, the upper rail that runs along the top is fully metal, as are the RIS rails at the sides and bottom. The flip up sights are again fully metal.

There are also shots of TM's M14..although this is still the deactivated version that has been doing the rounds for the past year, we've still not seen any shots of the AEG, and given Marui's release format, we won't until it's actually formally released at the relevant tradeshow. There's also a poster shot of the Type89 rifle, which Marui plan to release as an AEG in the near future. There's a nice shot of the new Tiger I RC tank from Marui, which comes with metal individually linked tracks as opposed to the previously seen rubber tracks.

There are shots of SIG Pro 2340 EBB pistol from TM priced at 2,980Yen. Some shots of prototype mouldings of Glock 17 and Colt 1911a1 are visible. Given that they are in a separate case to the EBB mouldings these would at best guess be GBB prototypes. A H&K USP, Beretta M93r and Beretta M92f Military are shown in one case. As the M93r has already been annouced as an upcoming EBB it's reasonable to assume that the M92f and USP are EBBs too. Without the ability to translate these myself I'll update this information as and when more news is available.

The new TM DE 10inch, Sig P226 and Hi-Cap 4.3 are all announced as new gas blowback products. The 4.3 features Novak style sights and a lower rail assembly. The P226 can hit the shelves at your local retailer at any point...all in all a positive heap of new products and announcements from TM, and as ever most of them were completely unexpected, although it does explain the long list of products that Marui are currently not producing at the moment.
