Maximullis
Hey Everyone, I'm looking for a bit of a near-future/cyberpunk look for some of my kit and I'm wondering if there are any SAWs that would make a good AEG for that costume concept? I was thinking along the lines of an mg36, double drum mag, RIS kit but I don't know if that would have the 'SAW' feel, if you know what I mean? Any other ideas? cheers, Maxi
WhiteHawksan
are you any good with a dremel? I'd start with a 249/m60 and start adding bits of tubing, piping, heatsinks and grills etc.
Maximullis
well, I do own one, might draw some plans up
kojak
Obviously you need a DLT-19/MG42.
Kenworth W900
I hate to be pedantic but isn't it MG34s they are based off of, not MG42s? Hence the cylindrical front end of those heavy blasters. I imagine the new COD might have some good ideas for futuristic style MGs btw. Its set like 20 years from now I think. T3CH
There is the UAR DMR, I'm sure you could slap a drum-mag, optic of choice, and a vert grip/grip-pod on that
Lone_Bullet
You ' could' wait for the Type 97 LMG and have some fun with that. But then, you 'could' wait forever.
Korppi
Here's some inspiration. The UAR DMR mentioned above has the look, maybe with a box mag such as this to differentiate it from your typical c-mag.
Jon L
You could always make something to resemble the boarderlands guns they are pretty wacky/out there
Maximullis
I think I might make something with that new Magpul PDR, drum mag, extend the barrel, bipod maybe. I'll be buying two of those sexy things when they come out, love it already
T3CH
You mean the PDR that's barely longer than the P90? Interesting choice.
pkm200901
What about the ARES Stoner LMG? Looks stupidly future-esque enough.
Maximullis
Oh, it would have to be modded heavily, of course. I like the stoner, my only lil issue is the dummy round belt
Lone_Bullet
Exchange the dummy rounds with alu tubing with a red LED in them, powered by the boxmags battery?
kaufmau
Buy a Nerf gun, paint it and get some aeg guts in there, bonus if it comes out like this
sigma3
What is that thing? Pretty cool. I think a railed/phantom AUG could be a good place to start.
Senden
Exchange the dummy rounds with alu tubing with a red LED in them, powered by the boxmags battery? Tracer Unit and green EL Wire FTW EL wire can be bought (inc. power supply) pretty cheaply on ebay. wind it round the foregrip and you have the most visible blaster on the field. BigAl
Knights Chainsaw would be a good starting point.
kapitan_jay
Ever thought of using an AUG with HBAR kit (eventually also based off an AUGA4?) I think this could get quite interesting. But possibly I just say this because I'd love to see the keplinger lMG somewhen
sigma3
Well, surely we can start from a more high-tech AUG than that. Maybe more like... or
kapitan_jay
I don't see how these AUGs are more futuristic than the Kepplinger lMG or the A4.
sigma3
I do, but then again what does "futuristic" mean? It's all opinion.
Senden
I do, but then again what does "futuristic" mean? Extensive greebles, multiple scopes, glowing things and excessive size and weight
kapitan_jay
Ofc it is a matter of opinion, this is why i asked. I wanted to know what, in your opinion, makes one more futuristic than the others.
sigma3
More stuffles, no ancient-looking integrated sight, muzzle devices... like I said, just an opinion.
