Horsem4n
other models available on tiger 111 hk. prices are better too. still want one to thrash on and see how it does. EDIT: EHA also seem to have put up the non railed models too. still, at $22 more than tiger. but then again, shipping estimates are different from shop to shop in HK. ikliiu
Seems like good project gun, throw in a DSG and a drum mag in that and it will definitely surprise many at CQB fields
Horsem4n
You cant just throw in a DSG. The sector gear is a proprietary part of the electronic system. You cant have one without the other unless you replace the whole gearbox.
ikliiu
I thought the system is still compatible with aftermarket gears. Don't they use a switch that the tappet cam hits?
Horsem4n
no sir. thats the BTC method. ARES uses a magnetic switch.
ikliiu
Right, I always got those confused. I guess you could always stick a neodymium magnet on the gear for it to work, or just completely forget about semi auto.
Horsem4n
maybe, i dont know enough about it to say, but ARES has said that its possible to use a System gear as a replacement. so you may be able to move the magnet from one gear to another. maybe thay just made the magnet fit into one of the holes in the side of most sector gears. EDIT: ok i took a fraction of time to look to see of there were any internal pics of the gearbox. (images are from airsoftnews.eu so that could be up or down at any time) as you can see in the first pic, there looks to be something shiny stuck into the top hole of the sector gear. and on the bottom pic, you can see a plate and a sensor on the right side gearbox shell. so, the magnet looks like it just fits into that hole. so it may still be possible to install SC gears. kojak
Newest addition to the Amoeba line is a model with a Honey Badgerish stock and forend called the AM-013:
PureSilver
To be honest, that's by far and away the best 'Honey Badger' that I've seen in airsoft yet. I think those may prove quite popular once people figure out how to paint bits of them silver...

Interficium
Newest addition to the Amoeba line is a model with a Honey Badgerish stock and forend called the AM-013: Awesome. Finally. //edit: plastic receiver though..... :-/
coolurjets
The magnet in the gear, I quite like that. Shame all these Ameobas look horrible. Still, I guess theres a market for Armulikes out there.
Horsem4n
the magnet in the gear is a worse idea than the mechanical switch that interfaces with the cutoff lever cam like the BTC spectre.
