hitmanNo2
Ha. Yeah. Those mags are pretty disappointing They managed the effect with the G36 mags. Hopefully that is just a prototype.
Inq Eisenhorn
I love the way they fire these guns in echo chambers to amplify the noise.....like we wouldn't guess. I'm at the point now where I don't trust VFC.
richie 1
The version 3's with are supposed to be okay if you do the A+ hop modification . It's just a shame there is no Co2 mags to go with them.
NeilB
heavy recoil though...

Chevieblazer
Looks alomst like - yet again - VFC sacrifices reliability for recoil
richie 1
Bad reliability doesn't always mean it's caused by the push for heavy recoil. VFC are know in their early gen's for putting in weak metal parts that are prone to breaking, a poorly designed loading nozzle that's prone to breaking after a few hundred rounds and a weak spot on the bolt that causes it to fail in the area where the bolt stop engages it. I think that all of these issues have been addressed now. But it would be nice if they would ship models that aren't so hot out of the box so they are ready to be fielded without having to mod them from the get go.
bankz5152
GBBR HK417? HELL YES!!! VFC? Hmm no. Hopefully WE will make one On my phone, my spelling will suck.

richie 1
I know what I'm getting with my first PHD paycheck. Is that a polite way to brag that you have a doctorate?
Ivan le Fou
Is that a polite way to brag that you have a doctorate? I am working on it, phd researches can receive subventions. But whatever, the video makes this 417 look nice. Rather strong recoil and all.
richie 1
Well you can certainly get a shed load more gas in that mag.

christhesecond
Vfc have really turned things around recently IMO. They've done what not many airsoft companies do these days which is learn from their mistakes and correct them. Their customer service is surprisingly good too. I have faith that the 417 will be reliable out of the box. Hopefully the size of the mags/gas capacity will help with the cooldown.
kagami
didn't we hear that the 417 by default would have a steel carrier and fcg?
richie 1
I think that the fcg and bolt stop is steel as standard now after all the problems before, but I don't know about the bolt carrier apart from where the bolt stop catches it.

Expecting previous VFC customers to accept this statement as positive is like expecting a freshly intoxicated lab rat to be overjoyed that Revlon have finally achieved that vibrant orange lipstick they've been working on......
