blobface
Please slap me if this isn't actually new at all but it seems to be, Airsoftglobal is showing Pre-Order, tanaka-works official site saying "NOW AVAILABLE VER 2" with bright red text that hurts my eyes, and WGC seem to have it in stock. It looks gorgeous, but annoyingly I'm completely ignorant on airsoft air cocking sniper rifles, so I won't have a clue how upgradeable this is / isn't. WGC LINK (IMAGES) Someone knowledgeable please educate me, cause I want one...
Isamu
That rifle seriously needs the long mag, just for pure awesomeness.... @_@
renegadecow
Looks interesting, except maybe for the $400 tag. That plus considering how the VSR dominates the spring market. Maybe if they made a Kar98 and Arisaka adaptation as well.
swatti
My endless crusade of warning ppl about the horrid curse that is VSR has taken some effect and most ppl buy the mz-l96 clones. Sadly my godly influence is contained within the borders of this poo-hole of a country. As for this gun. I expect good externals coupled up stupid or over-complicated internals. Trap
Is it only me that thought the $400 price tag was unexpectedly low for a Tanaka product? Atleast the mags won't be crazy prices like for their gas rifles.
farrasdevell
it is still going to have a silly feeding ramp nozzle fin mallarkey going on though which is far from a great setup. Looks pretty though nothing wrong with the VSR (and clones) with a bit of knowhow they are still the best spring basr out there.

And you are guiding them to the most horrid pile of steaming poo there is available... There is a reason why VSR is the "standard", parts availability with reasonably decent base. And I expect the same as swatti, but hope for more.

blobface
Tanaka air cocking doesn't seem to be common at all, so I take it at present it isn't very upgradeable? I doubt it's based on anything existing systems, the Japanese companies don't seem to enjoy taking inspirations from each other.
renegadecow
Damn. Same price as their gas Kar98?!? In that case I don't think I want to see an Arisaka anymore knowing it's still gonna cost about a grand.
Trap
I already have a spring Arisaka, didn't know Tanaka did a spring Kar98 Are they still available new? *Edit Just looked it up. Looks lovely but defo not a replacement for my long lost gas version. Probably the only airsoft rifle Iv regretted selling.
