Thought it looked like a heat shield but on looking it up...

"Rifle grenade sight is an integrated part of the gas block, and rifle grenade attachment is included in the complete set of the weapon."

Sounds like a nice little thing.

basically it stops any gas traveling back up the gas block so that all the power from the blank round is put down the barrel to propel the grenade further. it also cuts down on recoil as no moving parts are being pushed back under spring tension. It also acts as a sight for ranging the grenade.

For info the M70 is seen as the ferrari of the AK world. It's well made with very good tolerences and in use by quite a few military armies around the world. It's also a very good base to try making an Iraqi Tabuk AK :)

I think M70 AB2 will be start model. If people will buy it - they will release new model. Same thing was with M4A1...

Bad thing - look's like LCT stuck with AK (VSS and AS are exception)... I told them several times abotu GALIL GBB, but....

Ferrari of the AK world?

Isn't that a bit best of the cheapest then? Like saying Lidl does the best own brand crisps? :P.

Still nice to see some other AK variants being done, hopefully though it will not turn into the next M4 platform.

Ah, Papa John's. The Ferrari of the takeaway pizza world.

You know, I haven't had one of those in a while as it is all Dominos round here :(.

Still it is nice to see another AK type, might end up with an AEG AK for travelling sites so this could be on the cards.
