Norotor
Just a guess, but probably close to what their SAI MK25 kit costs which is $395.

hitmanNo2
You most likely won't have much change from $600.
Squad 701
Just a guess, but probably close to what their SAI MK25 kit costs which is $395.I think it's approx $595 as the barrel is stainless steel laser engraved, and the grips are metal, coated and laser engraved. The gold coating on an aluminium barrel would wear fast, and would be expensive to make as an optional extra later on. I think the two of these parts alone woukd cost $185, as they wanted to make it as close to the older full Prime kits without the obvious more expensive price of them. The newer SAI style sight are also included, along with recoil barrel plug. The frame is similar to the older WA frame in that it's got a full length rail for the slide to move on as opposed to the usual smaller size internal rails and rail-spacer/adaptor piece. DeltaZero
I'll be honest I'm a little disappointed about how shiney that slide is.. I'd hoped it would be duller! However those pictures are almost tempting me pal, you're almost there!
Azubi
You are complaining about the shiny slide, but the big shiny yellow barrel doesn't bother you?
hitmanNo2
The slide is supposed to be like that. As per the RS.
icolater
It's amazing. The inner frame is genius. They should of done that years ago!!
hitmanNo2
I really don't know why they didn't seeing as Prime WA kits have always been like that.
BigAl
OMG If I can find one of these come April when i'm working again i'll have one.
DeltaZero
You are complaining about the shiny slide, but the big shiny yellow barrel doesn't bother you? Squad already knows my view on the barrel! I'm a fan of silver barrels rather than the gold. However, it'd still have been nice for the slide to have been matt, even on the RS! Still a very nice kit, I'm almost convinced!

There may be a limited amount of Matt-Silver versions of the Commander-kit made at the same time the full-size version is being processed for FEB release Anyone interested in custom orders contact me sooner rather than later It will look like this RS without Caspian type frame. Squad 701
SAI RS 1911 Fullsize is based on black-barrel version.
DeltaZero
Now I can't decide.. think I still prefer the matt silver surprisingly!
FireKnife
Sees 1911 and Commander in the title, happy. Realises it is a SAI based product, so so unhappy. I will be honest, SAI stuff looks like *suitcase*, just my opinion and I am sure it appeals to many but seriously, on a 1911 it just looks awful. Now an actually, proper Colt Commander would be nice, just not the expensive metal kit. 'FireKnife'

hitmanNo2
I didn't like it on 1911s at first but I found it grew on me. Much to the concern of my wallet heh.
kagami
Squad, do you have any insight as to whether the more vanilla 1911s (kimber, springfield) will be updated to this unique inner frame system?
Squad 701
Sorry have to disagree with your opinion FireKnife - no offence I'm not a great lover of the Gold/TiN barrels either on 1911s or SiGs for more traditional reasons But I think the Stainless-Steel Black-Barrel on the Fullsize looks super, and likewise the Stainless -Steel Silver Version on the Commander is Cool looking. Squad 701
Squad, do you have any insight as to whether the more vanilla 1911s (kimber, springfield) will be updated to this unique inner frame system? I don't think there are any plans, but I'll double check. Including the SAI's there will be a total of 10 new Nova 1911 releases in the first quarter all going well, including the S70 reissue that should be at least six more kits to come. I know some recommendations of mine are to be included, I just don't know which yet More than likely SFA and Kimber type guns, not reissues Cheers.
FireKnife
Still not my type of thing but that is just me, so no offence taken at all. Personally you shouldn't mess too much with a good classic design by just giving it a new body and all these fancy things that are really kind useless. Even on the Glocks I think it is silly and I am not a Glock fan. Now if only there was a proper Commander (or Officer) model that didn't cost so much.......
