You would be surprised how much that happens.

Same with the SR 25 mag in a M4 and a G36 mag in a Sig 551.

But when you call these people utter morons, you're suddenly the bad guy.

I gave up on being worried that those kind people actually own airsoftguns.

Well, yeah - If you call someone an utter moron for asking a reasonable question, you kinda are the bad guy.

Taking the G36 / Sig 551 example for example, they're both magazines that hold 5.56, both share aesthetic similarities such as a translucent plastic body, and both have those little ring-clips you can group mags with. I don't think it's an unreasonable question to ask if you're new to airsoft, or firearms in general.

Of course, the SR25 is chambered in 7.62, with a longer depth magwell. However, considering the similarities of the AR10/15, and the similarity of an SR25 mag to the 20-round STANAG that IIRC are still produced for Airsoft, again it's not that big a leap to make if you're not certain.

Why would you call someone a moron when you could help them out instead? That way, they'll learn and pass on the knowledge to their friends.

Indeed. Not everyone is as into real guns as the next guy. To be fair the SCAR-L and SCAR-H are pretty much identical so if you don't know what you don't know then how can you know about the magazines?

Am I right? :P

Share information and help others. If they are still morons after that, then you can get upset.

Fixed. This gun as well as the WE P90 is full "I'll believe it when I see it in person" territory.

The SCAR-H would at least be a pretty conventional tried and tested design in GBB form, I think it's much more realistic to expect it to be released eventually.

Uzi and Mac also got this kind of problem? :)Just asking...

Indeed and in the case of the Maruzen M11 and Micro UZI they did both use the same mags.

It has been a looong time since I've last read the story on both of these guns; but from what I recall, wasn't the main issue a bureaucratic one? (Licensing issues with Cybergun, the holder of the FN airsoft license, to be more specific.)

Of course, this raises another question: since then, WE has released it's AEG "MK Series" (which makes one wonder about the SCAR-H GBB deal):

In any case, let's hope that any potential complication has been taken care of, this thread being a great indication that at least this gun is alive and well (but I especially wouldn't hold my breath for the P90 for the same reason you said, bureaucracies aside).

because they don't want to be helped, they want it to fit.

maybe I am just being too old for this, but seriously youngsters today have it way too easy.

The only problem is, they are too lazy to do a 1 minute google search.

now on to the main dish

some pics of the mag so you don't have to "ask" about them. :)

That mag could do with a small design change.

The threaded bits that the screws go into. Make them longer so that there is more thread to work with. They're gonna be made of pot metal, they need as much thread as possible, otherwise, the length of screw chosen is just wasted potential.

As I find myself explaining to management at work on a regular basis, you can have cheaper materials with good design to compensate, or poor design made of the strongest materials... You can't skimp on both.

The same could be said for most mags, including Tokyo Marui mags with the bolt retained base plates to be honest, I'd also say the bolts should be increased from am M3 to at least an M4 and the stupid pozidrive heads done away with in favour of hex or torx head ones.

Of all the mags I've pulled apart (which is many) the GHK G5 mag is the only one I've actually liked the design of, round gas chambers and substantial bolts/plugs with o-rings rather than specially made seals, plus the flow valves are a very nice bit of machining on their own.

True. But the TM ones seem to be made of a better grade of pot metal, at least their threads don't strip at the drop of a hat like they're trying to pay their way through college (I'm looking at you, KC-02 short mags)

Pozidrive is alright for builders, but everything else should be on torx by now.
