coolurjets
About time too, I for one am rather excited. there's a few glimpses of it in some of the YouTube videos. Seems to be the proline rather than a combat machine. Picture from Airsoft Worlds Facebooks Iwa 2015
Inspector
Ares already has one out..however it's not 100% accurate to the real one. Wonder how accurate this one will be.
coolurjets
Ares already has one out..however it's not 100% accurate to the real one. Wonder how accurate this one will be. We are not counting that as an attempt, considering how wrong it is and how much they cost. However it did prove the market so I guess that's some good it did.
DeltaZero
Being G&G it'll never be licence and so it'll never be 100% accurate.
Vortix
Being G&G it'll never be licence and so it'll never be 100% accurate. There's a difference between not having markings and having completely different-looking external parts. I'm interested to see how this pans out.
DeltaZero
The parts to make the externals look correct will need licensing... So it won't look the same.
3vi1-D4n
I don't get it. Whats so fancy about ANOTHER AR15 PDW?
FireKnife
Because this AR PDW featured in a few very popular yet totally generic FPS games. Wait they all did............. However I must admit I don't mind the looks of the Honey Badger but at least it is nice to see someone with a better reputation than ARES making one. Call me when the model with the shorter handguard comes out in black. 'FireKnife'
NeoVeNoM
here's the whole line up, looks like there is a new trigger system.
aznriptide859
If their MG42 shows any direction in the company, it's that they at least pay attention to the details. Plus, it's always one more reason to avoid the ARES plague.
Amoki
As far as I can tell the key differences is the stock (G&G's look like a MP5 stock upscaled for a M4?) Otherwise it is externally correct, if not copy of the old design - new design has the keymod rail?Reference: 2014 AAC Honey Badger:
FTZ-WildeCard
It's a close approximation, in a similar style to other G&G alikes (see MK18 and Magpul in G&G style). Also in that new line up... some kind of .308 rifle?
FireKnife
Given it is G&G we will get sbout ten slightly different but basically the same designs. But kudos to them flooding the market with options. Better than an ARES and that .308 looking slinger does look interesting. 'FireKnife'
3vi1-D4n
Because this AR PDW featured in a few very popular yet totally generic FPS games. Wait they all did............. When will the AR15 plague end? Almost tempted to get an ACR just to feel less AR'd out.
blobface
That G&G mag makes me feel like the gun shoots some sort of bio weapon darts..
sirrith
So aside from incorrect dimensions or whatever, what is wrong with ARES?
renegadecow
What is NOT wrong with ARES. -non-existent business ethics i.e. repeatedly screw people over (Star, S&T, me) -wonky designs when making proprietary bits -bad internals/electrical
aaron2310
I am really excited for this. I love the look of the Honey Badger. Doesn't have to be 100% authentic to please me, but it has to work well. I was tempted to get the Ares but then I kept reminding myself...Ares suck. So I'm really flipping happy to see one come from a decent manufacturer like G&G.
LordElpus
and it appears that these Combat Machines will have a microswitch trigger. Couple that to one of Gate's 3rd Gen fets and you should have a soild performer assuming the motors have got better in the CMs in the last year or so.
Zereck
Seems like G&G is going for more than just a new trigger: The only thing missing is basicly the recoil. Just hope they'll implement it in other guns to not just into "another M4"s.
FireKnife
Wow, that is a lot of nice stuff. However I have a feeling that also means a £300-400 price tag. 'FireKnife'
blobface
Props to G&G for innovating, although for me to be interested at all they'd have to go back to replicating "real" models..
Isamu
Some of those features sound quite like Airsoft systems ASAR15... cool nonetheless, just hope we can use regular batteries and not the propietary ones in the video =(
coolurjets
The only downside I can see to the new system will mean you can't use after market motor grips as easily... I wanted a magpul moe+ grip on my Funny badger
T3CH
Proprietary batteries hmmm not sure about that. Also I'm willing to bet that mechbox won't fit in any receiver except the one it comes in. If however that mechbox is transplantable (we can sort out the battery 'issue' with a rewire) put me down for two.
