Inspector
Looks like WE just announced yet another gun. https://m.facebook.com/weairsoft/albums/968396776517764/ Interested to see what they're like when released. Hopefully with all the classic guns they're doing they will update the hi power.
paranoiddroid
Oh hell yes!!
renegadecow
Not just another gun. They've named it as being part of a "Classic Pistol" series. Here's hoping for Type 14 that isn't $198. The stock in their pics, assuming they're also making it, is a Chinese type though with the European stocks being slightly different in shape. More on the M712 though, judging by the mag and part of the bolt it looks very different from both the Marushin and KWC/Tercel design. Actually, even the KWC and Tercel differ from the original Marushin internally, but they all share the same mag. WE looks like it may possibly have a bolt hold open device put in, but that's just me speculating.
Brigg
Considering that WE has never released a model without a bolt or slide lock, I would say it is probably a fair bet to assume it will have some form of anti dry fire.
GlockworkOrange
I will be very happy to buy one as long as it works better than the Marushin one, which barely functions.
Mike_West
Very interesting.
NightFury
At this rate, WE might as well try and make all the pistols. Would be very interesting to see them make a flintlock lol.
Brigg
I think it more likely that they would stick to what they know. I wouldn't expect a revolver or other nbb from WE,But considering most service pistols operate in similar principles, WE will have more then enough models to choose for their CP line. Who knows, they might even do less popular models like Nambu's.
Solid Snake
Hmmm, could be interesting. If they end up making the short mags to go with it, I may have to redo my Han Solo cqb gear. Add in a Sterling, and I'm golden. I'm totally cool with them doing all sorts of other classic pistols as well. Colt Peacemaker? Do it! Inglis Hi Power? Bet your biscuits! renegadecow
They did mention that short mags are in the works. Me, I spent an awful 6-8 hours cutting one of my Tercel mags in half because I didn't want to fork over $57 for a Marushin. As happy as I am with my KWC I could still see myself picking up one of these for all the wrong things I want to do with it.
tquilha
I also hope the short mags will be available at release time.
Skarclaw
Just gimme short mags and co2 bulb in grip, plz ;_;
paranoiddroid
*prays* Lord please make.them bring out more iconic pistols after this, I want a gas blowback automag in the worst way.
tquilha
Droid, to help with your prayers: Automag, Wildey and the Bren Ten (I've been going through my Miami Vice DVDs again...) Oh great minds at WE, look at our posts...
renegadecow
Not sure if those are classic enough. I want a Mars pistol.
jv83
"I want a Mars pistol." That will be the day!
BigAl
Marushin did a GBB Automag. A Mars is unlikely as few people have even heard of them.
renegadecow
As a functional airsoft gun, yeah. But I can't help but drool at the recent obscure stuff they make for the PFC market like HWS' Star revolver and CAW's Borchardt.
paranoiddroid
Oh god please a borchardt would be amazing or what about something like the Iver Johnson enforcer pistol
FireKnife
I am still awaiting my proper Browning High Power, not this Chinese variant, ladder sight *suitcase* 'FireKnife'
jv83
I think Marushin did an enforcer type pistol once. I want a Victory armory MC5.
tquilha
+1 on a proper Hi power, preferably with a proper hop-up this time. Could also use a nicer finished classic 1911.
Solid Snake
Fireknife, you and I have the exact same train of thought. I love my Hi Power, but I would kill for a MK3 slide and a decent hopup.
paranoiddroid
God yes a gas FAL and a good hipower would be amazing! Why has noone ever built a gas sten yet?
ninja master of coffee
Largely the complexity of having a side loading gas in mag GBBR that doesn't instantly freeze. It's not impossible, just difficult. I'm interested to see what else they have in this "classic pistols" range, fingers crossed for a gas welrod!
