volante
Hi, guys. I finished my service as ROK Air force senior airman and became civilian again So i'm pushing my projects harder than ever. Below two are beginning of them. 1. Aurora BBU It is made for KWA MK23, specially steel slides. It will has steel breech, engineering plastic nozzle and steel guides. Aurora is now under test and it will be on production next month. It has massive cylinder size and provides MUCH faster cycling and stronger kick.It is very effective for both steel and aluminium slide setting. I'll provide test video soon. 2. Gas powered M1873 Carbine, Randall. There was gas conversion unit for KTW M1873 Winchester series since March 2013.It performed great but there were some features that user didn't like. So i designed new version and now we can ship as a near-complete gun(Disassembled in two pieces to reduce shipping cost) Picture above is package design of New gas conversion kit. This is rendering image of Gas unit with essential original parts with it. It has:CNC aluminium/MC-nylon nozzle as standard.Stainless stroke guide for smooth action right after install.Original gun's loading elevator is functional after gas unit installed.Stainless steel CNC made one piece gas tank.Stainless and high strength steel made internal valves.Stainless steel firing pin cap. Price of Kit is 159.99USD and for complete gun, 299.99 for Randall and 349.99 for Carbine. You can add high quality wood stock as a option. And there is another interesting feature. Coolest way of loading Winchester is a 'spin cocking'.However, it was hard to do this in airsoft because KTW Winchester is spring rifle and other gas Winchesters are fragile. But you can do this now without stress. https://youtu.be/U-6ZA73Rye8 How do you think?
PureSilver
I think the Aurora looks very cool - any idea of pricing? Similar to the Merlin?
swatti
Is the Merlin in its "final stage" of development? MK23 is also on my list.
Mike_West
Fantastic. Just as I irrepairably broke my ACM Winchester by cleaning the barrel and I'm planning to buy a new video card. To say nothing of the fact that a local retailer wants $800 for a bone stock KTW M1873. While we're at it: what's the deal with the flow restrictor in the Winchester gas mech? volante
I think the Aurora looks very cool - any idea of pricing? Similar to the Merlin? Thanks! But i can't say anything about price. Because i don't have production quotation yet. Is the Merlin in its "final stage" of development? MK23 is also on my list. Yes Merlin is now in final stage. All problem in early version has solved. FPS reducer in M1873 is just rubber tube in nozzle. You can remove it very easily. I had Marushin M1892 which is base of ACM/A&K M1892 Winchester. I loved its external but i was impossible to repair its gas leak because there was 12 possible leak points. It was the main reason of developing gas unit for KTW M1873 My gas unit has only 4 possible leak point and it's very easy to replace seal when it fails.
renegadecow
I think... I really need to start saving up for one of those lever guns.
Norotor
Very nice. How much does the m1873 wood stock option cost? Would it be possible to purchase extra m1873 magazines if a complete gas m1873 is purchased?

Would it be possible to purchase extra m1873 magazines if a complete gas m1873 is purchased? Wood stock would cost 150usd for all m1873 variations. Yes you can order spare mag too. Mags are 10usd for carbine 8usd for Randall.
swatti
Soooo... This gas-system also fits the ACM model? Been hoping to make one skirmishable, especially the shorter version. Does anyone know where to get one? All I see is out of stock. EDIT: good reading me... So you sell whole gun too? Does the system go into the stock? I was planning to make wood parts myself and replace the stock with maybe a folding one.
renegadecow
There is no ACM version of the 73, just the 92 which is already gas powered.
swatti
My knowledge of these fail me. I was worried the KTW was super-expensive. 300 for a full gun ain't all bad if it's skirmishable. Would be a nice sidearm for my WIP post-nuclear setup.

I was planning to make wood parts myself and replace the stock with maybe a folding one. This gas unit is only for KTW/Dong san Winchester series. The gas unit replaces original KTW M1873's spring system. So it goes into its receiver and barrel. There is no change on stock and handguard. It will be best skiirmishable airsoft lever action rifle in market. As it uses stick magazine unlike Marushin and ACM, and provides around 400fps(carbine) with light cocking force. Yes i can ship whole gun with gas unit installed.

You're gonna laugh: it wasn't a gas leak that did my ACM M1892 in. I wanted to wipe the barrel after shooting. I pushed some weird thin o-ring out of the barrel. And then the gun refused to hold the BBs in the chamber. Most of them fell out after reloading. I think... I really need to start saving up for one of those lever guns. You and me both. aznriptide859
Oh god please let me know if you need testing for the Aurora. My Mk23 is just sitting here waiting to be beefed up
blobface
Any news on the Glock bbu? (sorry I can't remember what it's called, mjolnir?)
volante
Any news on the Glock bbu? (sorry I can't remember what it's called, mjolnir?) Mjolnir's design is completely changed and now i'm making prototype.
swatti
QUESTION: could the gas-system for the 1873 use Co2? I use refillable 12g Co2 capsules for my Co2 guns and fill those from a paintball bottle. Regular gas is stupidly expensive and hard to find here.
volante
QUESTION: could the gas-system for the 1873 use Co2? I use refillable 12g Co2 capsules for my Co2 guns and fill those from a paintball bottle. Regular gas is stupidly expensive and hard to find here. It is possible but i don't recommend. As it won't fire many shots as when it filled with liquid gas.
swatti
How large is the gas tank? Compared to say, 12g capsule. The adapter I use for the bottle does give out Co2 in liquid form.

Gas tank itself is a lot bigger than CO2 capsule. I think you can use 25g for this gas unit.
swatti
A crazy idea has been circling in my head for a while now. A blowback unit for tm Desert Eagle. If you replace the metal frame housing the bbu, you'd have lot of room to play. If possible, make unit not completely round but wider to the sides or square-shape. Is it possible to make a bbu that isn't perfectly round?
blobface
The new Stark Arms glock BBU look like a D shape. (with the flat side of the D facing down)
volante
Test video updated! Performance is very good and we're now preparing manufacturing. Best way is that KWA to adopt this design as their MK23's standard though... https://youtu.be/PZcJUJYI7IU PS. Why i cannot show video on post?
