Safeword
So I have to say I am a fan of Ghost in the shell movie and this rifle is from that, my problem is the price, i'm a fan but not for that price. It uses TM mp7a1 gearbox and for me its a little disappointing for such a big gun and also, dummy scope and magazine? Link: Redwolf
dapprman
Price is the problem with these custom jobs which are effectively bespoke handmade. Was worried about the fake mag thinking you inserted an MP7 one some where, but it's just a dummy one in the correct space, it takes STANAGs. As you said, serious shame about the price. Gunmane
Like the G&G MG42, not going anywhere near this. Might as well get a thunder maul for the lulz.
renegadecow
It's not from the movies though. It's from the OVA/mini series Arise.
blobface
Wow wasn't expecting that price at all... and I always find that when you turn a fictional item from an anime into a real life object, it always look like a cardboard extrusion, as anime is already a "lower polygon" version of real life... reversing that process without making up extra details kinda make things look boxy and cartoony.. swatti
For cosplay, not airsoft.
thartwig
For cosplay, not airsoft. Then why bother making it functional? Props don't need to shoot bbs after all. Also it looks like with all those visible screws, especially in the magazine...

blobface
Metaba is a real gun though.
jal3
Buy it. Add 2-tone service. Watch redwolf cry.
NeoVeNoM
Metaba is a real gun though. yes, But the Mateba from GiTS does not exist, it is based on the 2006M Mateba.

renegadecow
Mateba from GiTS does not exist Of course it exists! It's just set in the future and we haven't gotten there yet.
bankz5152
The price is frankly ridiculous to say the least. Potentially alright if it used a proper gearbox and M4 mags but an AEP jeez
NeoVeNoM
Of course it exists! It's just set in the future and we haven't gotten there yet. Mateba is out of business... . Parallel reality much?
tquilha
Yep, Redwolf steps in it again... Now, if it was GBB and with a functional scope I'd be all over it.
renegadecow
Mateba is out of business... . Parallel reality much? That's just because Ghisoni died but his work still continues to flourish under Chiappa. Who knows, maybe somebody will revive/buy out the company like how other companies recently have (AMC, Detonics etc.).

Well I sure hope so, because finding a 2006M is 1. pretty impossible 2. costs a couple of kidneys.
Skarclaw
Then why bother making it functional? Props don't need to shoot bbs after all. Also it looks like ###### with all those visible screws, especially in the magazine... Added feature I guess. Might has well have been a motor for vibration and a sound effect chip. I knew a guy that had a Simpson's bottle opener that played Homer saying "mmm beer" when it was used. Same thing.
Pdubyuh
for that money you could by an APS UAR and get on of the prop builders to make you a foam body for it to fit in!
bankz5152
For that cash you could commission Stony Props to make one perfectly to fit around any airsoft gun you like (within reason)
