Faded Mars
KWA announced on its Facebook page that the MP40 has become a "production model," whatever that means. Hopefully it means they will be making and selling them soon, rather than just pimping them at Shot Show? FB Announcement: Many have been asking about our MP40 GBBR project that we showed at SHOT Show last year. We are pleased to announce that the project has become a production model! Come see and feel this new prototype at SHOT Show 2016, in the KWA booth. ?#?kwa? ?#?kwa_airsoft? ?#?kwaperfectbb??#?kwagreengas? ?#?airsoft? ?#?airsoftobsessedworld? ?#?kwaauthorizedreseller??#?bbwarz? ?#?performancebuilt? ?#?mp40? ?#?mp40_gbbr? ?#?fullautoonly??#?shotshow2016? BioRage
KWA: - Shot show - Wait 1 year+ - Release KSC model - Wait 2MO + - Release KWA model
renegadecow
If they're saying it's a production model then that means it's already rolling in the factory. But then why bring a prototype specifically to Shot?
Brigg
Hopefully they hide a semi auto feature somewhere, since full auto only would make it unusable at any field near me.
harborne blue
Pink? Really? Which branch of the Wermacht wanted pink guns?
Faded Mars
That's probably just whatever lighting they were using for the promo photo. Should be a brownish bakelite colour. Also does look more brown than pink on my monitor at least.
Cire_
That brown sure looks horrible to me. Hopefully it won't take 2 years..
NonEx
Full plastic body?
Brigg
Looks correct to me. Real mp40s had the sides of the receiver covered with thick brown Bakelite panels. The black Bakelite ones were less common and from what I understand were really just very dark brown.

tquilha
KWA MP40 + WE P38 on one side, WE M1A1 and TM 1911 on the other... Nice!
blobface
KSC / KWA has never released any gun with steel externals right?
3vi1-D4n
Its some sort of magic pot metal...
renegadecow
Aren't their AKs steel? Would rather have one by WE though, seeing their MP5 first hand.
3vi1-D4n
WE MP5? Nah, hell no. All their front sights are welded off canted out of the sight picture and is impossible to zero in the weapon, and their material is soft steel. VFC is much better. I will confirm if the KWA AK triggers are made of steel later.
renegadecow
Aimed fine enough for me. Yeah, VFC's externals are nicer and made with better materials, but they can't design gas mags for *suitcase*.
Roland1014
WE MP5 = playable VFC MP5 = good materials WE + VFC = ???
blobface
Aren't their AKs steel? Nah, an RA-Tech review a while back showed that it's pretty much full pot metal, with the exception small parts such as the fire selector, the majority of the body's just pot metal, which is a shame considering even a £50 dboy AK is full "steel"... Wingman
Still waiting for a GBB M3 grease gun but I'll have to take a hard look at this MP40 when it hits the market.
paranoiddroid
The internals should be easy enough to canabalise for any of the 'tube guns' tbh so grease guns, s&w 76's or even stens could appear.
Faded Mars
Some news from the KWA Facebook page. In addition to the announcement below, they also state that they haven't yet received a working prototype from the factory for a shooting demonstration video. They say they'll put out a video when they get the gun. Maybe it will be released following SHOT show? Trying to build a bit of buzz there I'd bet. The KWA MP40, coming in 2016. ?#?kwa? ?#?kwa_airsoft? ?#?kwaperfectbb??#?kwagreengas? ?#?airsoft? ?#?airsoftobsessedworld? ?#?kwaauthorizedreseller??#?bbwarz? ?#?performancebuilt? ?#?kwa_mp40? ?#?mp40? ?#?mp40smg?
