svman
Looks like pps are selling ally breach bolts now. The parts inside the bolt are a different colour to the outer shell in the picture on there website. hopefully that means they will be steel, i dont think ally will hold up to much abuse from the hammer. Hopefully these will be standard in the next genaration of 870's they release but who knows.

machgo
Thanks for that. I'm sure you've seen the steel "slid" block as well...?
svman
Indeed i have and i did read somewhere that the current m870's have the steel slide block from factory which is why i think these may be standard on the next lot. It looks like pps didnt just clone the tanaka but now they are developing it into something more reliable. I do wish they would sell replacement chambers thoe as my tanaka one is on its way out. Katotaka
I saw newer guns come with one-piece slide blocks instead 3-piece on older versions. Same pot metal but at least less likely to break under normal use. BTW, I've been using steel one since Aug-Sep last year.
svman
Ah i see. So you get the better design as standard buy pps couldnt quite ditch the pot eh?
