planeman
Looks like Guarder is making an gen 2 frame for the kjw glock 19. Don't know if they are planning to make a gen 2 frame for the G17. Looks good although it has a fake 3 pin as the gen 2 only had 2 pins
Got Wood?
Seriously? Why no gen4!!!
Lone_Bullet
^^^ what he said! Also, anyone has a source of good G series frames aside from guarder? GunsModify's frames are nowhere to be found. I really wish for a Magpull FPG like grip, they feel SO nice
NonEx
Yeh I saw the pin error as well. Pretty stupid :| HK3P frames are pretty nice.
Got Wood?
Also, if you're going to go old school Glock, I imagine you'd probably want to go gen1?
Lone_Bullet
I believe gen1 was not that common?
Got Wood?
All the more reason to make that model of frame then!
NonEx
I think GEN2 is "bad enough" I think no GEN4 frames until someone mass produces GEN4 style slides and recoil spring guide kits. Just a guess though. Maybe they got GEN4 in the pipe.
BigAl
IIRC Gen 2 was out before the 19. Been waiting for one of these for years, hope they do a 17 as well, would a 17L slide be to much to hope for as well?
uscmCorps
Gen 2 G19 frames are picking up popularity in RS circles due to the lack of finger humps. LEO Gen 2 trade-ins are often sought after and sell out fast.
kagami
Indeed IIRC gen 2 glocks are some of the most sought after. also, all the guarder frames so far actually have a faux metal pin for the locking block. that's similar in texture to the cross frame pin. this doesn't look like that but rather a very light imprint of where they perhaps didn't really fix the mold very well? Either way the fact that it kind of looks like theres something there that shouldn't isn't good. guarder gen 3 frames:
Kratisto
Actually, there were Glock "transitional" frames between gen 2 and 3 that had 2 pins, but with a mold mark for the third one: http://www.glocktalk.com/threads/glock-generations-gills-2-3-pin-frames-and-other-helpful-photos.1418527/page-5#post-20478728 https://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=5&f=13&t=27037 So a slide with a late Cxx or Dxx serial number could be technically correct with these frames (and that's why Marui G17 frame is fine for the plastic slide marked with DMD076, they probably copied it from a real one )
TheFull9
Pretty cool release. I'd like the Gen 4 without the finger grooves, but since that doesn't exist yet, this would be the next best thing. A good quality G17 version for building on with a fancy slide kit would be nice. kagami
Dang, that'd be interesting if guarder actually did this, then Guarder would actually be paying TOO much attention to detail... Katotaka
Is it weird that I would like to see an airsoft RTF2?
uscmCorps
Is it weird that I would like to see an airsoft RTF2?I'd like that. My RS Limited Vickers FDE G17 comes with an RTF2 texture ... and it's awesome.
fabio
Quite a nice release, I hope they release a G17 Version
rusTORK
NICE! I wanted to build GLOCK 18 with external compensator long time ago...
3vi1-D4n
Just order from WE, their frames are good, though not sure if it would take RS recoil...Guarder ones do.
fabio
Just order from WE, their frames are good, though not sure if it would take RS recoil...Guarder ones do. WE Frames Dont have full Markings(Exept The rare licenced ones) and they dont do GEN 2 Frames
bradnuts
Just put this together. Guarder steel slide, barrel, front sub frame, complete hammer housing assembly, and trigger bar. Everything dropped right into the gen 2 frame. The frame feels just as nice as the gen 3. It does have the slight outline of the locking block pin but depending on the lighting it disappears. Got Wood?
That is nice. How different does it feel without the thumb indents?
Gunnman
Now I have a reason to sell my MGC glocks.
bradnuts
Got Wood, I don't use the little thumb indent things on the gen 3 frames so the gen 2 frames doesn't really feel any different in that regard. What I do like is the lack of finger grooves on the front strap. When I did the grip work on my 17 gen 3 frame I removed those so the gen 2 19 feels great!
Got Wood?
Awesome. Need another Glock now then...
