Safeword
Saw this on Ehobby and got interested, but I heard Umarex's UMP45 had a lot of problems and so, is this worth getting? Cant seem to find any spare mags at the moment but I guess the gun and magazines will pop up in other stores soon. http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/umarex-h-k-ump9-gbb-smb.html#.V9SAxZiLSUk
Zereck
Well the problem with the 45 was mainly the magazine, so the question is if they did a better design on the 9mm one.
hitmanNo2
A lot of the problem with the .45 mag was some pleb installing the O rings round the wrong way at the factory I seem to recall. I say O rings, stupid shaped propriety ones they are probably still using on these.
Inspector
What are the odds of this coming out in an aeg as well? I know There is literally no difference between the 45 and 9 other than mags but just like the look more.
swatti
The G&G AEG is about as good as it can get already. Not even VFC can improve much on that. First gen G&Gs had double feed issues that is easy to fix. G&G Uber Machine Guns go sub 200 bucks second hand. I snagged a gen1 for 60 bucks.
calbur20
Probably made by VFC, so I'd suggest avoiding this and letting other people *fruitcage* around with it first.
Wingmann
VFC GBB corrupted by Umarex... I'm surprised it doesn't explode, even in the pictures.
Safeword
If the problem was the magazine on the older 45 model, lets hope they have learned but other than a different shape on this model, ehobby says "Metal Housing UMP 30 rounds Loading Capacity Gas Magazine" while the older 45 says "Nylon Made UMP 25 rounds Loading Capacity Gas Magazine" And there's no info about it on the Umarex website but on VFC's website it states that the new model also is a 25 round capacity, so kinda hard to find some concrete info on this
uscmCorps
Still love my G&G UMP's. I have two of them and they are the gun I most often loan to friends interested in trying airsoft. They just keep running. This VFC UMP9 ... not sure.
Skarclaw
tbh I'd always considered the ump9 like an MP5/40 or MP5/10 - something that airsofters say "oh yeah that'd be cool!" (and to be fair, it is), but wouldn't actually buy!
Rob15
tbh I'd always considered the ump9 like an MP5/40 or MP5/10 - something that airsofters say "oh yeah that'd be cool!" (and to be fair, it is), but wouldn't actually buy! Every airsoft product that isn't an M4 or made in a country with dirt cheap labour rates surely?
blobface
What an oddball release... guess it doesn't cost much to develop it considering they already got the 45. Calbur20 isn't yours working great (touched by RC I know, but still, inherently if it weren't for the leak it's a functional gun no?)
BigAl
Not odd at all.
vorpalbunnie
My current gen .45 version was actually a fantastic performer (RELATIVE to release). Easily would get 60-70 rapid shots or so on semi per fill. Aluminum speed bolt and Gen2 mags made a big difference.
Safeword
I can't have sound on where I'm at right now but judging from the video, the full auto seems to have problems on this?I see they are coming to a lot of webshops now, and at a ok price, but this doesn't look good unfortunately https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-RsgXBwY_Bc
blobface
It seems fine? I watched it with sound, sounded pretty healthy? The only issue they had was leaky BBs from lack of hop setting, which happens with many GBBR, not a unique problem.
Wild_XIII
It seems to shoot fine in the video. I'm going to wait for some solid reviews as I know VFC's previous GBB's can be quite temperamental.
blobface
VFC used to barely survive the first mag ootb, but it's doing better and better, so now it's the longevity game they need to pass, CRW Eddie in that video actually said it's compatible with the 45 mags.... wonder if that means the 9 mags are compatible in the old 45 ump too..
hitmanNo2
Yeah. Seemed OK shooting. Intriguing the mags are compatible. I did ask one of the HK shops a while ago if the lowers were but they didn't know.

Yeah I saw it with sound now, was at work so saw it without sound and didn't look good when the bb jumped out the ejection port
Safeword
I think Redwolf said the 45 mags are compatible in this but the 9 mags doesn't fit in the 45. https://www.facebook.com/redwolfairsoft/photos/a.56852898949.64773.17117533949/10154489533828950/?type=3&theater
