Jeskai_the_Mighty
Hi, I found this PDI inner barrels what is called Wide Bore. In Europe I saw it for first time . https://www.airsoftguns-europe.com/wide-bore-barrel-6-1-mm-xm177-m4a1-sg551-375mm-pdi Any experiences?
Dimitri MdP
If you need to take down your power output in the most retarded way possible, or just really, really don't like to clean your barrels, then go for it.There's no other difference compared to a tightbore of the same quality. Wingmann
If you need to take down your power output in the most retarded way possible Daytonaguns sometimes have trouble working at low enough PSI to make the gun run AND shoot slow enough.
AG1212
Some claim wide bores offer better accuracy.
Lone_Bullet
Yeah well, You can be as critical as you want, just don't write them off yet. I hear nothing but great things about Orga's 6.23 and 6.10 with Polarstar. In any case, my most accurate AEG's (at range) were KWA KM16 SR12 with a KM TN 6.04 and KM4 SR10 with a PDI 6.05. But I really think that's because I went with a quality steel barrel. As far as I know, the wider is it, the more accurate at long range it'll be. The narrower, the better the accuracy at less than... say 20m. Horsedung? Possibly, but I haven't seen one conclusive test in my 10 years of (ch)airsoft I'd give the wide bore barrels a chance though.
Isamu
If I can provide my 2cents here, my longest range and most accurate gun is a SR25 with a 455mm long 6.20 wide Prommy delta, I love the idea of the enlarged hop window for flat and R hops, not as long as an ER hop, but better than regular ones. I wouldn't discard this 6.10 barrel, we might get surprised =D
Katotaka
I'm a great believer in wide bore barrels, especially when I need my sniper rifle having same KE as everyone else's guns.
