Crying Scum
Might be tempted, which one did you choose NeoVeNoM? Do tell how it performs
NeoVeNoM
I chose the CM.355M Had a slight panic because the front sight is not displayed on the packaging. But it is there. Well packed I must say. Included, 3 shells and a small speedloader. For 100USD/95EUR it looks pretty good. Barrel, receiver and under barrel are all metal. Paint is not perfect, but there are no creaky noises. About the plastics. Yes it is plastic, not nylon polymer or something. But it is not flimsy by the least and there is no flexing. In that respect It is likely the most solid tri-shot spring gun I have ever owned. (I broke over 5 DE models in the past) the but-pad is rubber. the screw are fake, but remove it by pulling by the side and you will find 2 screw. My guess is that you can shorten the stock. The inside looks pretty well made too. Dust cover moves when you cock it, neat little detail. Did a quick FPS test which gave me an average of 285FPS, tested with Xtreme precisions 0.2gr, I think, I just grabbed the nearest speedloader. First few shots were 270FPS, then, it slowly kept creeping up. FPS meter was trippin' balls on occasion. These numbers do back up the noise it makes. Cocking the shotty is ok, to me at least. Does feel heavier than my SPAS12. If you already have trouble cocking a G&P m870, then this is not for you. I Don't know about the range, since my garden is not very big and I do not want to scare the "insert profanity here" out of my neighbours. I did notice an aliment screw on the edge of the barrel, keeping all 3 barrels straight. Something tells me this will be a handy CQB tool. I am wondering if I could mount a G&P m870 rail on the body, because this thing just screams reddot. Conclusion. Price/quality, it is a very good buy if you are looking for a simple solid no BS CQB airsoftgun, that requires pretty much no maintenance at all. So if you have 100USD/95EUR to spend, buy this! you might want to take this spring shotgun into serious consideration.
Colin_The+Ferret
I have the full metal folding stock (non magpul) the metal quality is excelent. Sights or a rail on these would be excelent. Shame you only get the fibre optic foresight with the Magpul version though.
Wild_XIII
The Cyma tri shots are easily the best clone tri shots out there. All the others (Double Eagle, GFC, etc) ALL had hop issues for me, even after cleaning the barrels. The shots went about 10 meters and then dropped. My Cyma 870 launches BB's out to 55 meters easily. I've been after one of the ones with the Magpul furniture as they do look really nice. The Magpul pump and over folding stock would look nice.
NeoVeNoM
Indeed, just a simple rail on the receiver would have been enough. on a side note, for those who have airsoft friends getting married. http://www.taiwangun.com/en/patches/game-over-pvc-velcro-patch-8fields?from=listing&campaign-id=
Got Wood?
It's quite easy tk drill 2 holes and install a rail on the top? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
ED-SKaR
The funkieness with the chrono is due to shooting 3 BBs at a time, if the BBs aren't perfectly in sync then the chrono will pick them up seperatly. Each time a BB pass by the first light gate, the chrono will reset and start its internal timer again. Then the first BB passes the second light gate and you have a velocity reading based on two different projectiles. The start time being from a slower shot than the end time. I've seen a DE shotgun chrono at 6000fps once. These look pretty well made, I wonder how the material build compares to a TM.
Snoop-Uk
Can you mount a decent moe pistol grip on the front to make cocking easier Sent from my D2303 using Tapatalk
NeoVeNoM
Well, did some testing this weekend. And FPS wise it's still slightly creeping up now at a 295FPS Range? Terrible, just plain terrible. 1 bb drops after barely 20 meters 2 others lift off sky high after 5 meters as if their destination is outer space. Looks like I am going to have to open it. Got Wood?
Mine are both a good 300 ish. I imagine they haven't changed the design inside, just different furniture. Still waiting for them to make a wooden one... What weight bbs? Mine are happiest on .25s
mimesis
Is anywhere else selling these Magpul-ized versions other than Taiwangun?
NeoVeNoM
Mine are both a good 300 ish. I imagine they haven't changed the design inside, just different furniture. Still waiting for them to make a wooden one... What weight bbs? Mine are happiest on .25s I even inserted .30 and they would still fly up. So I will have to open it. @mimesis: as far as I know they are the only one. And given the sensitivity of Magpul styled airsoft guns, I doubt anyone would stock them in the US. Wild_XIII
I'm surprised as the range issues you're getting. My 870 out the box was on par with a Marui M3 which are damn fine shotguns. Fortunately getting to the barrels on a tri shot really isn't as bad as it looks. It's mostly a case of remove loads of screws and remember where they go. It's something that once you get the knack of it it's really no worse than getting to an aeg gearbox. The proper guts of a tri shot are the real PITA though! There are guides on disassembling a Marui M3 online (at work so can't get to the sites) which is mostly identical for the 870. The main issue I've always seen with bad range for tri shots is because the barrels are full of and they have dirty hop rubbers. If you can get the barrels and hop rubbers cleaned up, they get a massive increase in range and accuracy. The hop rubbers are exactly like what was on the original TM M92F so if you can find them you can get TM hop rubbers for them. There is a little room to add a thin bit of card to increase the hop as well by padding the top of the hop rubber if you wanted to use heavier ammo. Bando
we have them at A2 supplies and they are awful, they are plastic and cheap feeling but not cheap to buy (even for us) you cant look down the sights properly due to the stock.
