Trasher
I am not a big guy, but I carried my 18-20 pound heavy, ELCAN equipped, CA249 all day without any kind of problem... Airsoft machine guns are everything, but practical, so who the hell cares about the size and weight of the M240?? An Escort M240 is a wet dream for me. I am ready to sell two of my SPs for that! tehnoobslayer
you mean the rumor suggests a modernized gas system? I'm pretty sure its an aeg, it has the new gearbox, with the motor parallel with the cylinder. Theyre putting out the their new gearbox soon, and the outline in that m240 picture looks exactly like the profile of their new gearbox.
sekiryu
My philisophy, Airsoft isn't about being practical. It's about what makes you happy. Personally, if it weighs more than 10 pounds--I'm not lugging it around
Karnage
I've carried a real one a few times, sure it's heavy, gets in the way all the time, makes you half deaf and the sling eats into ones shoulders, but it works. In airsoft you can easily carry around a couple of thousand rounds, you don't need to carry a spare barrel, you go home in the end of the day, and you have the option to sit down and rest for while, without anyone tearing you a new one for being lazy. Not all machine gunners are built like Arnold, but the MAG isn't a girly gun either.
tehnoobslayer
well take into consideration that since it's an airsoft gun, itll be at least 3 or so pounds lighter. I think this one will be 5 or so pounds lighter. Inokatsu's m60s come stock with aluminum barrels, you have to upgrade to a steel one.

Xeno-Morpheus
Would be cool if someone where to make an 8mm M240 with some kind of blowback-system... :-D Then I wouldn't care about weight at all...
