Snowbeat
I don't know if this was on the horizon or not, but AirsoftGI is selling a full metal, licensed CYMA Galil SAR for $240. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=4989 as far as I can see it's not up on any of the HK sellers' sites. Where the hell did this come from?
speculator
holy what? where did this come from? (will match my IDF loadout....)
Abelius
WTFWINMUSTBUYNOWJIZZZZZZ Hmm, so it's CYMA that's being sold here as cybergun then. Very good news indeed, I like CYMA AKs.
Snowbeat
I'm betting Cybergun got a hold of the distributing rights early on in the development of this and kept it under wraps for a US release
Cliffor
Awesome! So can these take ak mags, or am I going to have to wait for galil midcaps too?
db_pepsi
Awesome! So can these take ak mags, or am I going to have to wait for galil midcaps too? Looks like we'll have to wait for midcaps
double_a
Wonder if it will be able to use KA Galil mid-caps. Maybe the CYMA mid-caps will work with the KA. Hope they're cheaper than the KAs at $30.
Snowbeat
I don't know why you're assuming this, considering every other airsoft Galil can take AK mags out of the box. Since the CYMA is a clone (most likely), why wouldn't it as well?
my_plague_666
i thought everyone was saying it was the ICS that cybergun licensed? not bad eitherway, i wonder if they'll do a MAR
ninja master of coffee
Why CYMA? Why must you tempt me so?!
Gigueand
Hmm, very tempting. Someone quick buy one up and give us a nice review!
Montross
My buddy just bought the last one from ASGI, I'll let you all know how it is
Alakdan101
Too Pricyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy for Cyma Almost half of KA BlowBack. I'll go for KA unless cyma price go down to less than US$200 or much better less than US$150.
Gigueand
Wow, those sold out quuiccckkk! Montross, I'm holdin' you to that promise of a quick peek. Every if it is just your buddy's impressions.
nodaisho
I imagine the price will drop somewhat after a while. Demand will be higher when it is new. Of course, Cybergun's price jack means it won't be as cheap as it should be. Of course, if one were to buy from Hong Kong, you could probably avoid giving them your money. I just don't know of anyone other than ASGI and AEX that has one in stock on a website yet.
Montross
Wow, those sold out quuiccckkk! Montross, I'm holdin' you to that promise of a quick peek. Every if it is just your buddy's impressions. you got it, he lives right next to me so it shouldn't be a problem, i'll try and get some pictures, it will be at least a week though, so you'll have to be patient
Warning
HOLY COW BATMAN XD!!! do want.... ...now who will have them in the UK :/
thartwig
Is it pot metal, (probably), and does the thumb fire selector functional (probably not)? Thats all i want to know.
alex21
It's the one made for Cybergun, you can see it by the ugly white markings they love to put on their stuff.
hunter512
What I find intriguing is that only ASGI have them in stock, or in fact any mention of them. You'd think that a cheapsoft Galil release would be all over the place given the paucity of galil options and the number of people wanting one. Hopefully these'll be some good and more widely availiable. And for the earlier poster hopefully if you do have to use KA midcaps they'll work better than any of the m14 and m4 ones I've tried. thartwig
No no no, AEX has them too, they also give a descrption. "full metal with steel parts" :\ oh well. Again as mentioned above, its not all over the place because of Cybergun and its BS. Though id assume, china sites would be getting the regular CYMA ones soon.
Abelius
The surprising fact is that the Cybergun version isn't even that much more expensive. They sell the CG version here for 230e, which isn't too much if it's 230$ in America.
double_a
I have some KA Galil mid-caps and they work great.
EOL
I hope that they will make a wood version too.
Gigueand
AEX's website mentions the use of BAX, as opposed to a traditional hop-up system. Can anyone shed any light on this? I've seen / heard of BAX, but almost always in conjunction with cheaper (usually springer, iirc) builds. Linky
