RacingManiac
Wonder how it works....
orca
The link to TOP's website has a video of it firing...
T3CH
http://top-airsoft.co.jp/100721m4a1.wmv Marvel at the way the ejection port cover CHANGES COLOUR in cartridge mode Nice how it works with 'normal' mags as well tho, the fps could be iffy tho as the mech box would have to be SERIOUSLY short for it to work with cartridges.
TeowneD
thats awesome! i'm hoping that the fps will be decent and that top or some other company will cheaply mass produce plastic like shells for this gun, unlike marushin style expensive cartriges.
Isamu
Theres a part in the video where he shoots to the chrono, but it reads like 85-something... hope its not meters per second... other than that, it looks insanelly cool, but being an almost redesigned from 0 i see it costing A LOT. What I want to know the most is if the bolt lock is functional with catridgless mags and if those catridgeless are regular M4/sopmod/new Top mags The sound of it is not from an AEG, its much much better
G0LF K4RT
wow. looks interesting but i dont think i want one.
bankz5152
Looks very cool! But more of a collectors peice than a skirmishable AEG. Would be fun to have that M4 & a Marushin Glock!
Isamu
Looks very cool! But more of a collectors peice than a skirmishable AEG. Would be fun to have that M4 & a Marushin Glock! It can be used with cartridgeless magazines so if it performs well, I think it can be an skirmishable gun, I would like to see how it works internally though
rolling-thunder
The shells sound metal as they hit the bench{expensive}.It does state on the home page that the shell ejecting parts are optional so you do have to alter the gun to Shoot BBs on their own or change to the shell ejecting mode. Not really useful to the average airsofter but very useful to the training community where the "Brass" can be collected easily enough.
Arnie
I did some YouTube magic and put up TOP's video (stripped out the Stone's audio though as the video would get pulled quickly otherwise). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cf5xdPwxSxo
ultimentra
I think this would be much more useful for filming videos than skirmishing, or perhaps plinking. Still cool nonetheless. If its cheaper than M4s that shoot blanks than it would be great for people wanting to do war films as projects or on a budget.
Mikhailthejackal
Ooh that looks interesting, though i seem to remember another shell ejecting M4 AEG that required you to push a button before it ejecting anything... i hope this doenst follow the same lines, in any case; survival horror loadouts just got more intense!!! Oh found it!
wildething
That looks like it locks back even on the standard mag. now if some one took that and made a standard AEG that you needed to cock and add a recoil system gun would be perfect.
Guges Mk3
That is 85m/s. It's right at the Japan Home Market Speed limit.
Isamu
That is 85m/s. It's right at the Japan Home Market Speed limit. OH *SUITCASE! spring swap then, just hope its a standard spring...

Elliot
If it works,(And by works I mean well and reliably) I'll take one Elliot
RacingManiac
The "recoil" seems minimum compare to the GBBR or even the EBB that Marui makes. I guess you can't have everything.... Do you have to clear double feed and stove pipe now with this? lol
Robinio
Looks cool, but I'd doubt I buy one, maybe there's more info to come when the gun is released.
SuperKingBigNuts
well as long as it is 500 USD,can accept a prommy and have a reliable gearbbox i may buy it but i have seen uber cheap LPAEGS With shell ejection.....
DarkLite
Guys, as cool as it looks, it's made by TOP. So it will be expensive, propietary, and break instantly.
Tariel
I don't think TOP would make a new product that simply underperforms, it's been a while since they released anything new and I would think they invested alot of time and effort into making something as innovative as this. Besides, judging by the video, it looks reliable enough. It didn't jam afterall. I would like to see more details about how it works, the internals and mag cap before diving into this. If it turns out well I would buy one and even skirmish with it, nothing a shell bag can't fix. This could possiby be the most realisticly effective AEG that is be released, as long as the shells are retreivable by easy means.

Their M60 has reviews that put it in the same area as the maruzen MP5k and the super 9. it DID jam in the video, at 1.08. Load, 3 shots and a jam. But then its an advert video, its not supposed to be a good example of how the gun works. Plus its a brand new gun that the manufacturers have played with, it shows nothing of the OOTB performance, or how it performs after a few thousand rounds. Put a RS shellcatcher on it! Or just dont use shells when skirmishing, if you can revert to standard mags. Its a good thing for airsoft, because this gimmick will blow over just as quickly as GBBrs did.... no wait... Donut
It sounds good at least. So if it's at least half way reliable, I'd like to use it without shells in CQC
