Arnie
Please post your comments about the YE MP5 review here. Thanks guys
HaVoC
Excellent review, Antagon! If I had cash to spare I'd try to seek out a classic airsoft gun like that - there's no doubt you've convinced me!
Vincent
Just wondering, whats the FPS on a gun like that?
Twitch
Very nice review! Any chance of a photo of the external gas rig that's used to power the little feller? Now that I'm out here I quite fancy picking up something unusual, and am a bit curious about what's exactly entailed in the whole setup.
HaVoC
Darn, I knew I forgot to post something, and that was is... *slaps forehead in amusing manner with palm of hand*
Antagon
Cant find my camera at the moment, but it's just a 20oz Co2 tank, with a 3 inch regulator on top, and a coiled hose coming from it.
Tripod
Antagon, how much would a decent gun cost? Just wondering. I'm becoming more and more interested in classics. Any good AK47?
Antagon
Only good AK at the moment are the FTC (impossible to find mags!) and the Sheriff Dangerous AK (Same mags, , hard to find). A good reliable gun with setup can run you as little as 400 dollars, you should check out the Maruzen KG9.
Tripod
I actually was checking that out haha (KG9). I might save up for that AK47 gbb though, who knows. Thanks man.
spuddeh
yea how much is that YE MP5? ive been looking for sommink like dat and was hoping it doesnt come with a huge price tag.
andthestoryends
ha, the eternal struggle between quality and price. They are very, very expensive. The cheapeast setup Ive seen recently was mint in box with two mags for about $700.
destrukto
when you start looking at classic guns like the YE MP5, the price tag starts getting way up there, out of most people's price range.. General rule of thumb The price of an airsoft replica is directly proportional to the quality of the replica
Lance Jackass
Can you stilll get mags for these things in the uK?
andthestoryends
currently they are all hunt and snatch, as far a I know. waiting on YE to make some more. its sort of a complex issue, whether that's going to happen or not.
Spedz
i thought ye was liquidated ages ago!
IronWolf
It is afaik, though all the machinery and parts are lying around with no staff to work on them. Im sure one of the classic airsoft.net groupies will know exactly what is going on...
Wibb
i have one of these babys. its been sitting in the arms cabinet for 2 years now waiting for its new internals to arrive from HK (thankfully they have been sent 2 days ago and should be back to super condition with stainless steel internals shortly!) At the moment, ive managed to outfit this piece with a 10inch silencer, real steel MP5a4 stock, real steel MP5 RIS lowmount, a few red dot optics, along with a reinforced A5 telescopic stock and a MM RIS foregrip and upgraded gas chamber rod and recoil springs it should be a beast when i take it down to sheffield's Light fighter urban in july :) maybe feature in my next video too...
