shinogi
it seems that while i was testing my new metal slide and threaded barrel with the USP compact, i got about 100 rounds off, then for some reason the trigger would move, but nothing would happen, so i look at the trigger, and the entire right side of the trigger snapped in half. how can i fix this? staticzero
This happened to mine as well. You're going to have to get a new one. I had my local H&K gunsmith order a real steel USPc trigger for me, though I am still waiting for it to come in. I'm not 100% certain it will work, but based on photographs it appears that it will. The replacement for the KJ USP may also work, though it is meant for the full size. I can't say for sure. http://doaairsoft.com/Products/Python%20Sp...%20trigger.html You have to pretty much take the whole gun apart to get to the trigger. This guide for taking apart the real steel will help with that: Disassembly: http://www.streetpro.com/usp/detail/dst.html http://www.streetpro.com/usp/detail/dst2.html http://www.streetpro.com/usp/detail/dst3.html Reassembly: http://www.streetpro.com/usp/detail/rass.html http://www.streetpro.com/usp/detail/rass2.html http://www.streetpro.com/usp/detail/rass3.html
lionel
I'm concerned, does this happen with all USP Compacts or only if you install a metal slide? also what causes this? I'm having a few other problem's with mine like 10 in every magazine of rounds will roll out... i've tried lubing it all and adjusting the hopup with no luck, tried Excel .2g/Marui .25g and AA .2g with no luck... Cheers for any help
Shao14
I don't see how the metal slide could contribute to breaking the trigger. How long have you had the gun (and how many trigger pulls did you have approximately) before the trigger broke?
shinogi
I never said it was because of the slide, or the barrel. Its probably just because i over-lubricated down there and it started sticking alot. trigger pulls have been about 2,000 i have had the gun about a month now. Edit: i have decided to buy the KJW replacement trigger from the website that you provided me with.
staticzero
I broke mine partly due to carelessness. It got a lot of sand in it during a game. While I was cleaning out the action, pulling the trigger to work oil in, it seized up. I then made the idiot mistake of pulling harder for some reason. Snap. :/ The slide wasn't even on the gun when it happened, it had nothing to do with it. The other half of the equation is the trigger is made form pretty cheap metal. However, I'll note that this is the only other instance of this happening I have heard of.
shinogi
Now that you bring it up, mine got left in a pile of sand for about an hour, and i had to clean it all out, everything except near the trigger that is... then i put alot of silicone oil, i used something called "Gunk" from home-depot. its allright but there is still some snaging on the slide with the back of the gun. staticzero
Let me know how that replacement works out, I may end up ordering one if the real steel one takes much longer.
shinogi
wow.. the plastic on the frame is about as cheap as u can get... i wedged a small screwdriver inbetween the plastic and the metal near the hammer (to disassemble it) and the whole back near the hammer cracks, and almost falls off. Redcap
One invaluable tool that I recently added to my toolkit is an Air Duster. This is a spray can of compressed air, simple as that. Ideal for those difficult-to-reach parts that can get clogged up. No offence intended, but it might be an idea for the future for some of your own tool kits. http://www.maplin.co.uk/search.aspx?MenuNo...Menu=y&doy=28m1

shinogi
I spoke to the owner of that airsoft website that i ordered the trigger from, he said that the trigger fits his KJW Usp Compact perfectly. after viewing many photo's of each im pretty sure that the trigger will fit. staticzero
I received my replacement trigger from DOA Airsoft today. Just finished installing it a few minutes ago. Works like a charm! I had to slightly shorten the brass tube the trigger pin goes through, you'll know it when you see it. Use a dremel or a file and be sure to check it as you file it down, you don't want to make it too short!
shinogi
The KJW trigger is locked in my mailbox, they put it through a small slit, but the open/close is locked down and there isnt a key for it. I will probably just get the one you ordered, can you tell me how much it cost, also, i cant put the gun back together, the long black piece that connects the hammer works to the trigger wont go in right, i was wondering if i could sent it to you or something. i will pay for everything, including installation fee. EDIT: ehobby asia just told me that the KJW trigger wont fit the usp.
staticzero
The DOA Airsoft replacement trigger for the KJW USP is the one I used. The one I posted the link for above. It will fit, you just have to modify the brass tube I mentioned above. I'd be happy to have a go at it if you want to ship it to me. I've managed to put one back together already, I'm sure I could do it again. Just shoot me a PM if you like.
