New interface @ Airsoft Players: Pikachoad has just uploaded a new interface for AirsoftPlayers. This new interface is a lot easier to navigate, and is a bit kinder on the eyes. You can find the interface now online at their website, along with a few new bits and bobs.

Updates coming: I've have 2 more reviews in the pipeline that have been submitted, and a host more on the way, so keep your eyes posted here for the latest updates.

TokyoHobby are busy! TokyoHobby, a new an upcoming sales site in Japan, have come under heavy interest simply because they sell equipment at low prices (Japanese street prices) for export. I am personally awaiting a delivery from them this week.

TokyoHobby are dealing with all their emails, and will reply to all of them, so please do not send them more simply because you haven't received a reply - it will slow the whole process down for both yourself and others.

To all of you awaiting orders/confirmations from them, here's the latest from their head-honcho Miki Nakamura.

"... Thank you for your e-mail and feedback. It is now three weeks since the release of the website and we have got trendemous response in form of e-mails and orders, even more than we anticipated.

We have been shipping products according to paid customers and first succesfull deliveries have been verified by our customers from Europe and United States. Current back log in wire transfer orders is ONE WEEK, which is expected to be cleared during next week. We are in progress of hiring more staff and improving our logistics by signing on new courier service to supplement existing EMS delivery system.

PayPal orders can be accepted as soon as the payment system is operational. Tradenable has just become available and we will submit more information to you if you would like to use it.

Best regards,

Airsoft Canada now back up: Primus, the webmaster of AirsoftCanada, has emailed me to say that they're new website has gone online. It's not all finished yet, but all the important stuff is there, which includes their news and reviews sections.

You can find the Airsoft Canada website at their new and catchy address: http://www.airsoftcanada.com .

New AE MP5 review: Pikachoad over @ AirsoftPlayers has been kind enough to email me with the news that they now have online their new review of the V2 Airsoft Elite MP5.

"...This gun is anticipated to sell for around $360, before shipping. Is it worth it? As always, this is a decision for you to decide. If you are looking for a full metal MP5, which a lot of people seem to be doing nowadays, and you EVER plan on doing any work on the gun, I cannot stress enough how handy the takedown feature of this metal body is..."

WGC Shop updates: There's a few new offers over at WGC's Shop. New to their stock list are quite a few parts, and curiously, a rather cheap Glock27 from KJ Works.

News ? Well that's strange.. I can't find anything that interesting to post tonight here. Fear not though! I shall find some titbits for you hungry airsofters out there.

Firstly an apology.. it seems that our wonderful guru's who live in the server room have some 'issues' with binary ftp uploads. I'll translate that into english for you.... - "It seems that I can't bung any new images on the server for a bit (text works fine)". So I'll use a judicious re-use of some old images that you've forgotten about. =) I'll throw them a pizza or something, and I'm sure it'll get fixed shortly.

New products available shortly from Den: There's some new DEN Trinity stuff coming in soon. I spotted the news over at FloridaAirsoft. Rather than retype it I'll just quote FA-Lance .=) :
"...DEN Trinity has some new items for your P90. First up is a metal handle that replaces the plastic one. Its not for sale yet but its 'Coming Soon'. Another item is a silencer for the P90 made by Systema. Other new items of interest is a silencer for the KSC M11 and a reflex style red dot sight made by Maruzen for only $48..."

Gremlin GunWorx: I came across a link around the forums at kechara.net, and again over at Squad-X , so I thought I'd make a post here too, for you guys (and galls) to have a read and drool over. Andy, from Team Gremlin is a bit of an 'Airsoft-smith', and will take orders for custom made replicas. Fancy a nice EOD (End of Days)MP5 ? Why not give them a look over ?

What a funky little red fella!

I'm sure there's more that I should be posting, but I can't remember what, so I'll leave the post at this, and head off to bed. In the meantime over the weekend ( I'll be posting back, on Sunday - spot the little pun there?), have a look on our forums. While I generate a better news system, I've setup a dedicated news section in our forums. You'll find both Dolphin#1 and Sykobika posting all kinds or Airsoft trivia, and 'hubbub shebang' over there.

Another new review! Well I've been at it again.. sitting here HTML editing instead of going to bed, but I just thought I'd get this done and dusted, as it was meant to have gone online ages ago.

It's a good review, the text and photos were submitted to us by JamesWilson (aka Jimmy). Funnily enough I think you'll find this TMP for sale in our forums.

Go and have a read - as usual you can find the review in the 'reviews' section. Doh!

X-Ring P90 dissassembly: It seems that X-Ring are continuing their erm.. obsession with the TM P90. Now any of you happy folks out there with a TMP90 can find out how to reduce your lovely AEG to a bucket of unbelievably small bits by following their newly added P90 MechBox Dis-Assembly Instructions - I'm sure they'll add re-assembly instructions very, very soon. (Image to the right from X-Ring's page)

Yes.. after many hours of bashing your P90 against a brick wall, this is the little hard bit that you're left with.
Click here to visit Ilendil's webpage

Ilendil's page updated: Ilendil has updated his page with new info. (This is a good thing, I thought he'd gone missing or something)

It looks like he's just bought a new CA Heckler & Koch MP5 Navy to add to his collection. Do go and have a look under 'guns' at his site for some more MP5 specs and information.

Contest @ Airsoft Retreat: Airsoft Retreat have got a new contest up and running. The prize this time is the STTI USP that they reviewed a few days ago. To be eligible to win you simply need to be registered in their forums and answer a few 'quiz' questions. To be honest though, if you get ANY of the questions wrong, you really ought to become an honarary vegetable.

Squad-X Updates: To conclude today's rather huge news update, I thought I'd mention some of the new updates over at Squad-X . OD's has now added a review by Kessler (Yup he's that mad bloke found in our photos section, and a member of the WASPS) of his Custom M16A2 Shorty and a review of First Factory HK Aggressive Force Mount Base (nope I have no idea what it is either..).

You'll also find that OD has just finished work on some (more) new forums (http://www.airsoft-forums.com/)AHHH! .. I don't think I can handle reading any more forums relating to Airsoft. I'll have to buy another fridge to write all my favourite weblinks on now as this one's covered in Postit notes, damn.

New review! I've finally got some spare time to blast through this review and get it online (I've got two more to do). This great Glock18c review was kindly submitted to me by Andrew Wagstaff (aka "TheGeneral"). Here's a brief snippet of the review:

"...I’ve had quite a bit of experience with GBB, some small pistols to some enormous ones. The longer barrelled replicas seem to shoot further and more accurately. Well I can safely say that this replica beats all of the ones I’ve used... A full auto pistol is something not to miss out on and in my view it is one of the best quality full auto GBBs out there."

WGC Shop updates: There's a few new offers over at WGC's Shop , nothing of real interest, but if you're after a new AE AEG in the US, then the extra warranty will be useful:

Click here to visit the WGC shop

STTI USP Tactical GBB Pistol review: I've been kindly informed by Alvin 'vaxc3' Hu that he's written a nice new review for AirsoftRetreat. Here's a brief snippet:
"When I first open the box to take out the pistol, it was like, wow. The gun is very well built for being an airsoft product made in Taiwan. The magazine for the pistol consists of almost 60% of the gun's weight. The gun is not exactly comfortable for the grip nor is it designed for smaller hands..."

Now with a little modification... and some careful design, the'd make great replicas of Lara's (TombRaider) pistols.. hmmm

New CA M4 Metal Body: Version 2 of ClassicArmy's M4 body is coming out shortly. There's no piccies out of it yet, but the part number is listed as (A019M). A useless bit of info to anyone that doesn't know - Classic Army 's real name is YickFung International Ltd. Er... yes, that's not quick as catchy as CA is it ?

MK23 Phase 2 review: Club Michelle have again been playing with some new toys. This time they've managed to get in stock the limited edition 'MK23 SOCOM PISTOL / Phase 2 PROTO-TYPE' from KSC.

This new model from KSC is a limited edition annual run of 2000 pieces. The new Phase 2 differs from the original HW GBB KSC release in that it sports differing markings throughout (US stamps, original HK logos and serial numbers), new carvings on the slide and improved sights. As ever this replica is 100% faithful to the original HK production.

Power is expected to equal that of a stock TM AEG, and the price is listed as 21,500 Yen (122GBP / 173USD).

Mk.23 Phase 2 & SP2009: Paul at Airsoft Dynamics have been kind enough to remind me that they "..have a very limited number of these available as well as a few SP2009 Limited edition Sigs from KSC.." . I should have remembered really as I read they're news page only yesterday...duh. If you are looking for a UK retailer with some of thesenew KSC models in stock, you could do worse than contact AD. For further info, check their news page.

The big 50,000 - Wahey - we've finally passed the 50,000 visitor mark! - Just so you know, we are now getting over 5000 visitors and 20,000 page views a week. Thanks go to our readers (yup, that's you).

ArniesAirsoft competition: I'm looking to start a monthly competition here in partnership with an Airsoft retailer, which will take the form of a quiz. So if you're an Airsoft retailer, interested in some good advertising and you're reading this, do get in touch.

The BIG Airsoft Quiz
? ? ?

Click here to visit the new home fo the UK Airsoft forums Airsoft.org Forums 2 - "The Empire Strikes Back": Okay, okay it's not that dramatic, but I thought 2 posts about the same topic were boring. Anyway, as promised the old airsoft.org forums can now be found under their new 'less-geeky' URL http://forums.kechara.net/ .They're under new management run by that very kind bloke CJ (Ceej) - he has big plans for them you know...

Airsoft.org Forums: With the oncoming changes at Airsoft.org, CJ has kindly moved forums.airsoft.org, so it's time to update your bookmarks again. You can find them on their new server http://216.12.213.107/, but this will change to a more user-friendly (read, "a lot less geeky") URL in the near future.

Click here to visit the new 'News' section in the site forums. Site member news updates: If any news comes the way of any of our site moderators, that for whatever reason won't appear here (either too obscure, or I don't have time), you can find them in our news section in the forums. Dolphin#1 has been busy, so you'll find some new Airsoft poster adverts online there, and more to come.
Friday, August 3, 2001 10:15 AM
Squad -X- updates: News just in from OD of Squad-X. They've launched the rather useful Rate a Retailer feature of the site, where users can rate retailers they have used, and view feedback others have given. Click here to visit the 'Rate a Retailer' section at Squad-X

Airsoft Canada server move: AirsoftCanada are moving servers due to space concerns, keep an eye on their website for news updates. - I know their problem, as this site is currently pushing our space boundaries (how big?).

WASP Team website update: It seems that a few people I know have been rather bored of late, or have far too much free time; as the WASP's team website has been given a huge overhaul.

I'd have to say that the new website looks rather spanky. Here's the scoop from their webmaster:

"...For those of you who don't [know] we'd been exceeding the bandwidth allowance on our old website server. So this gave me the perfect excuse to revamp the whole site during the process of moving it to another location. It's now hosted on my personal server, but thanks to the magic that is the Internet, you can still access the site by the normal www.waspteam.co.uk address....the website now looks completely different. Check it out yourselves, and if there's anything you don't like or want changed, let me know." - Kessler Team WASP

t2s update: It really must be that time of the month or something in the local water, but Team2Sexy (t2s), another team I play with, have also updated their team website. Again, it's another great source of humour, and UK airsoft team info. Click here to visit the t2s website
He's a very sane person.. honest
Yes that is Hatchet on the left of the tree. (No.. not WalkingTarget, the other tree)

Hatchet's Guide to airsoft: Hatchet's website is one of the best 'newbie' websites in the business, and it just goes to prove that us UK Airsofters do have a decent sense of humour.

Hatchet's taken some time to update his website with a new glossary page (handy for all those stupidly obscure military acronyms. FIBUA - eh?), and a new review of the Glock18c (If you can find where he's put it that is...).

To save you hours of browsing, you'll find a tiny text link in the top 1/3 of the 'Weapons' page, that takes you to the G18c review. Oh.. one mental note, the G18c isn't bent, it's just he took the photos up close with a camera, which produced those rather funky photo effects, that make the barrel look warped.
