SystemA Druganov written by DolphiNCommand - Friday, January 4, 2002

This looks like the next release from SystemA after their full metal M16 range.

Specifications (for the Danish version) are a 'muzzle energy' of 3 Joules (~155 m/s with 0.2g BBs).

This custom AEG will feature full Systema internals including a M160 spring and SystemA 12V 600mAh battery.

UPDATE - January 10, 2002: Thanks to Olle M. Hansen and Jesper D. Thomsen - Team SNAG, we can now update this article with a correction about SystemA.dk (in general). Here's what Olle and Jesper had to say (thanks guys!):

You have got a new article covering a new systema rifle, found on the danish systema website. Sadly I must announce that this rifle is nothing else than an upgraded Marui ak47, with "dragunov style furniture" (eg. from Carrot, not sure though!). The danish SystemA site, is kind of a hoax, it is just because that one of the danish airsoft importers(PG) the right to supply SystemA gear, and therefore has set up a SystemA web site (whether it is under permission from SystemA I do not know)

The same thing goes to Marui, which is exclusive of another import company (Vestergaard ApS). Try www.marui.dk!

These two companies violate each others exclusive distrbution deals, by parallel import, and are in constant battle on product avaliabilities and prices!

Hi there.

I live in Denmark and ... I know a bit about the gun you mention as a new SystemA replica.

The gun in question is not a true Systema gun in the same way as the M16A3 and the other 3 M16 variants made by Systema in Japan. The Dragunov sniper is a conversion based upon a standard TM AK47 and upgraded with SystemA internals. The replica is built by P&G (Pedersen and Grobelnik), who is the official Danish business partner of SystemA. One of their Tech-dudes is an official SystemA mechanic (Great guy BTW) and the www.systema.dk site is maintained by P&G and not directly by Systema.

I have seen the Dragunov sniper myself and although it is a nice replica it is no more a real SystemA replica than any other upgraded conversion.

Hope this clears up matters a bit.

Regardfully.
