Ai500 Dark Harvest postponed

by News Fairy

The Ai500 has been postponed due to issues with the site, hopefully a new venue will be found so that the event can be rearranged:

We have just received this from Countryside Properties who own Harold Wood Hospital. It is a little light on details and we are following this up, however the implications are clear enough.

“Unfortunately we are no longer able to make the Harold Wood Hospital site available for the 4th / 5th September due to a number of reasons which have recently come to light. I am sure you will agree the Health and Safety is of number one importance and with that noted we do not believe the site is now suitable for the type of activity proposed.

Regards, Countryside Properties”

Although we have received kind offers of alternative venues, none were suitable at such short notice. Disappointing though it is, we feel we owe it to everyone who has booked onto the event to ensure that they have a superb airsoft experience, not something thrown together out of necessity at the last minute.

We have identified a suitable venue, and we are already speaking to the owners to secure the site for the Ai500. Since we cannot at present give a date, and since some of those who could make the 4th & 5th might not be able to make a revised date, we will refund all monies paid to date.

It is our intention to attempt to offer the re-arranged Ai500 at a reduced price as a way of saying sorry to all of you who must be as disappointed as we are. However, after spending 6 months working on Dark Harvest, neither Ai nor Airsoft World are about to let it slip into the mists of time! The alternative venue should allow us to play
without the restrictions that Harold Wood imposed and should be even bigger and better.

We will continue to use the Dark Harvest forums to keep you all informed as to what is going on, when the game will run and what you can expect. Players that want a full refund of monies paid as either a deposit or payment in full should contact paul@ai-mag.com

You will need to supply your full name and address along with your online receipt and your banking details we will promptly send your refund out via a bank transfer or cheque. Players that have incurred travelling expenses ( i.e. flights and or ferries ) and cannot get a refund on your tickets we will on receipt of proof of purchase compensate you Once again, our sincerest apologies to everyone – hopefully we will
see you all soon. Paul Monaf (Ai500)
