by Arnie

Eric at wannabe.uk.com sent over the latest from him. Eric, news from a friendly website is always welcomed bud. ;) They have a video of one of their training events online which was filmed at Ambush Chobham. The vid is 90Mb in size though, so beware if you’re on a slow connection. Here’s the latest from them:

Dear Arnie. Its not exactly breaking news, as Im sure many of you may know of or have visited wannabe.uk.com , but Im sure some of you havent visited in a while. Since the site started 2 years ago, there have been a few but fairly major updates. Aside from a few new impressions and gear reviews, our own forums were launched in March of this year and is now a small (but growing), friendly community of gear enthusiasts. More recently, the storefront was launched selling a small selection of tactical gear. Right now, we are offering replica RAV and SPEAR BALCS body armours, although these are replicas, they are still manufactured to military standards using 1000d Cordura. We are also proud to present our own DARLA (Direct Action Releasable Layered Assault) Vest, which is an original design intended for real world use.

After the launch of the forums, Team Wannabe was formed from a group of the more hardcore gear collectors. So far, we have attended several events including the Stirling Services Aircraft Assault and this years Sennybridge event, pictures of which can be found in the forum galleries. The team will be featuring in the November issue of Boys Toys, speaking of magazine coverage, Wannabe Joel, Wannabe founder and site owner, has a regular column in Safezone Magazine.

So if youre one those airsofters that puts more attention than usual to what you wear, or you want to dress up like your real-life heroes, you have a home with wannabe.uk.com.

Eric, (wannabe.uk.com) “its about the gear…thats all it is”
