Ford Ranges Weekender
Kevin at Ford Ranges dropped me a line about their upcoming weekender game that they are launching to promote the opening of their Airsoft site with is on the South Coast near Worthing. Here’s the latest fromt he guys there:
Ford Ranges Airsoft Training Weekender 5th and 6th of March: Held on Saturday and Sunday the 5th and 6th of March we will be splitting the event into “green” and “black” days. Ford Ranges is located in West Sussex close to Bognor Regis. It is run by ex- UK SF instructors. The site itself is located on a stretch of runway from the old airbase and surrounding farm land and a number of buildings. It includes a purpose built killing house for CQB training, a series of bunkers, a street layout for FIBUA training, woodland and out buildings, a shop, catering facilities and a pistol and rifle range.
Saturday – ‘Green Day’
Registration, safety Brief and introduction to training staff 9.30-am-10,00am( open from 9 am)
Patrol Skills
Ambush/Anti ambush drills
Bunker busting drills
Harbour area drills
Close Target Reconnoitre (CTR) skillsCulminating in a night operation “Warlord Snatch”
You will need to use your newly refined skills to carry out a CTR on the buildings and organise the snatch of an enemy warlord. Once snatched you have to get him safely away and avoid the forces looking for him. The return to your harbour area and defend it as the warlords troops will be looking to extract revenge for this daring snatch.
Sunday – ‘Black Day’
10am start ( open from 9 am)
Close Protection Team training (including moving vehicle drills debussing/embussing, vehicle ambush/ anti ambush).
Close Quarter Battle training in the killing house
FIBUA drillsCulminating in “Basra Road” operationA VIP has been taken hostage, you need to deploy your snipers and CTR the buildings/surrounding area, make contact the with hostage takers and initiate negotiations, plan your immediate action plan and get your teams ready to go should things turn nasty.
The cost for the weekend is £30. Or one day: 10 am to 6pm the cost is £20 per person.
Site limits :
AEG for CQB 328fps
AEG for woodland 350fps
Sniper rifle single shot 500fps – minimum engagement distance 25 metresChronographs are on site and will be used.
Most of Ford will be up close and personal so if in doubt or if you only have on gun for the weekend make sure it does not exceed 328fps.
