Gunman Airsoft newsletter week 23 2016

by News Fairy

Here is all the latest news from Gunman Airsoft:

Dear Arnies Airsoft news,

This weekend we return to Tuddenham for our mid-month FilmSim style event.

There is also a night game on Saturday, starting at 1900 and running until about 2230, the operations are short and sharp with plenty of action, as well as the odd slower paced sneaky game.  It will be dark by the time we finish, so a torch is recommended equipment (even if it’s just to move around between games).

The night game is now included for no extra charge in a weekend ticket, otherwise it’s £10 to add on to a day ticket, or £15 as a stand-alone ticket.  350fps limit for all weapons.  We have some rental shotguns available for £10 – these MUST be booked in advance.

The following weekend, the 2037 battle will continue at our Eversley site.  With rolling hills and a fern/rhododendron jungle within a pine forest, the fighting will be a challenge.

More improvements have been made at Tuddenham.

We have a MilSim event coming up next monh and we need crew:  see below…

Regards,

Josh Smith

Conflict 2037 Part 3: Bolt

Its 2037 and the world is at war. The Armies of the Red Drake and the Blue Hammer have clashed in middle Europe and battles have broken out across their broken and jagged lines. Many nations have been engulfed in the flames of war and now only two these two factions are left to fight it out.

Following on from the successful and dominant victory of the Red Drake in area 921 and 922, the Red Drake are pushing across the line and now engaging in the surrounding area.

Area 923 – 924 The Ardennes forest of old France and old Belgium.

The Blue Hammers task force ‘Alpha Prime’ has had a firm defeat and new units have been brought up to support the heavily contested areas. Due to the battle area still being watched by both sides affective SAM Systems and the dense constitution of the forest, the ground war will have to continue. 5 key areas have been identified in both 923 and 924, which must be taken and controlled if one side is to gain victory and control of the area.

Day one will see the fighting for 923 and day two the battle for 924.

In true conflict style (Battlefield) 5 areas will be marked at the 5 key areas that need to be captured and held. There will be a red and a blue flag at each position. All that a team needs to do to show control of an area is put their team flag into the ground next to the objective and place the enemy flag on the ground.

Improvements at Tuddenham

We have been hard at work, making further improvements to our Tuddenham site, with more partitions being fitted inside a few of the buildings as well as cover being erected on the slab in the middle of the CQB village.

We are continuing to make the safe zone a nicer place to be with more lighting and a coat of paint inside, as well as repairs to the leaky section of the roof all planned for the next few weeks.

Crew Call: Okto 8 MilSim at Tuddenham

We have an Okto Eight Milsim event on next month at our Tuddenham site (near Bury St Edmunds) which is set in the fictional country of Moldistan. To improve the realism and sense of immersion for players we are looking to scale up our usual level of civilians and non-combatants.

This is where you come in. If you would like a weekend of role-playing either a local civilian (in an eastern European or Russian style) or a UN aid worker then we would love to hear from you.

You will not be armed and will hopefully not be shot at (too much) as the players will have strict rules of engagement. We will feed you and can provide suitable costume if needed. There is camping space on site, let us know if you need bedding etc.

If you’re curious about either airsoft or MilSim type games, or you just like playing dress up and let’s pretend, get in touch. Event details below – we also have a separate group for crew members.

If you want to play a rebel, we still have some tickets available.  For more information or to book on, visit https://www.facebook.com/events/544968945677839/
