Gunman Airsoft newsletter week 52 2018

Here is all the latest news from Gunman Airsoft:

Hi, Arnies,

Welcome to this week’s update from Gunman Airsoft.

We hope you’ve all been enjoying the last few days, however you’ve been spending them.  The end of the year is now upon us, and we look forward to another year of great, friendly airsoft going forward.

This weekend we are running our annual “Who Ate All the Pies?” airsoft event at both Tuddenham and Eversley.  These events are always popular and are designed to give you a chance to exercise off those extra calories you may have taken on over the last few days, as well as the opportunity to test/show off any new kit you may have acquired!  We will also have our on-site shops open if you feel the need to get rid of any Christmas cash…

If you are planning to attend the Tuddenham site, please ensure you have reserved a place by making a deposit payment on our website.  Half of Saturday’s spaces have already been booked, so make sure you get your deposit in if you know you’re coming.  We will try to accommodate a few extra on the day if we need to, but it does depend on extra volunteer Marshals being available as well as the physical limitations of the site layout.  Booking for walk-ons is available up to midnight before the game day.

Next weekend we return to our normal pattern in the new year with a skirmish weekend at Eversley – this one is at the main site, from February onwards it will be back at Camp Bravo.  The following weekend we are back at Tuddenham for a FilmSim open weekend as normal.

Just a reminder that all our open day games are advertised on our various Facebook pages as well as being bookable on the website calendar.  We will also be adding more special events over the course of the year.  We will also be a bit slower answering Facebook and email enquiries over the next week as Josh and Doug try and get some well-earned downtime.  Give us a ring if you need a question answering urgently.

Gunman Airsoft newsletter week 51 2018

Here is all the latest news from Gunman Airsoft:

Hi, Arnies,

Welcome to this week’s update from Gunman Airsoft.

We had yet another well supported weekend at Eversley – thank you to everyone who came along.

This weekend we have a pistol and shotgun only day at Eversley on Saturday 22nd – get yourselves booked in and come and enjoy a unique style of day.  Encounters will be geared towards shorter ranges and lower ammo.

Sadly, we have had to cancel this weekend’s Low-cap day at Tuddenham due to lack of bookings.  We will keep trying to put on the one-off special events that you guys ask for, but if nobody books onto them there is no point us running them.

Next week is obviously Christmas (in case you hadn’t noticed) so things will be quiet in Gunman HQ during the course of this week and next as we try and spend some downtime with our families.

We will, of course, be running our massively popular “Who Ate All the Pies?” skirmish weekend after Christmas (29th & 30th December) at both Tuddenham as well as Eversley.

Due to the Tuddenham site’s layout, we can only accommodate a limited number of players before the gameplay starts to suffer.  Please do not just assume that we will be able to fit you in on the day and ensure you book in advance if you know you will be coming.  It’s only a £15 deposit per day to secure your place, it also really helps us to plan the weekend for you if we have a rough idea of numbers in advance.  We will obviously try and accommodate everybody we can, but the players’ experience has always been the most important thing to us.

After that, we are into the new year and will be kicking things off with a skirmish at Eversley.  This one would normally be at Camp Bravo, but for January it will be held at the main Eversley site instead.  The monthly skirmish will be back to Camp Bravo as usual in February.

If we don’t see you this weekend – Josh, Doug and the rest of the Gunman Crew wish you all a safe and enjoyable holiday period, however you’re spending it, and we look forward to seeing you all soon.

Urban Assault – Sat 22nd Dec 2018, free xmas prize draw

Firesupport have shared details of an event at Urban Assault this weekend:

Urban Assault  Free XMAS prize draw – Sat 22nd December 2018 UPWOOD  – Please email sales@fire-support.co.uk to book your place

As usual please e-mail the shop to book in, sales@fire-support.co.uk.  Try to be at the site in good time to get booked in.
As it is Christmas and we have had a great year at the site I will be giving away various gifts to thank you all for your attendance and good attitude over the year. I am not sure yet whether to make you work for the prizes or just be nice and give them away! I have an AEG, 2 pistols,  10 cans of gas and some ammo and some Firesupport vouchers up for grabs on the day.

Entry into the draw will be free of charge with your game fee and will be drawn on a random basis from the attendance sheet, but only for those that are booked in, which should be all of you!. I will put a couple of prizes within game scenarios also, just so you have to work for some of them!

Thank you all for coming and making the site what it is, which on the whole sees us receiving mostly positive feedback. Ian and the guys work very hard to  make the site work and we can all help by being that bit better prepared in the mornings.

I have posted game dates below for the coming year, until Easter for Urban. That does not mean it is being demolished at easter, but as many of you are aware, the future of the site is uncertain, but I can confirm this will be the last year for Urban Assault, I just don’t quite know when in the year it will cease to be!  So don’t keep asking, we don’t know!

Merry Christmas and happy new year and best of luck in our christmas give away!

Gunman Airsoft newsletter week 50 2018

Here is all the latest news from Gunman Airsoft:

Hi, Arnies,

Welcome to this week’s update from Gunman Airsoft.

Thank you to everyone who came along to Tuddenham at the weekend – the camaraderie and sportsmanship was outstanding.

This weekend we are doing it all again at Eversley – Santa’s sleigh has been brought down by the rebellious ELF and the presents have been strewn everywhere!  Only the crack team of SANTA special force units can save Christmas once again.  This is not a “tacticool” weekend, so lose the ghillie suits and don a silly hat at the least – full Santa, elf, reindeer or snowman suits are highly encouraged!

Next weekend, both Eversley and Tuddenham are hosting a specialist single-day event on the Saturday (22nd).  Tuddenham is hosting a low-cap only day, Eversley is hosting a pistol and shotgun only day.  Places are limited so you really need to book as soon as possible.  We don’t run these days very often and we are not charging any extra than a normal open day, so come and get involved!  You won’t need many magazines as we will be keeping the games short and fast-paced.

After Christmas, both Eversley and Tuddenham will also be running our annual “Who Ate All the Pies?” weekend on 29th & 30th December.  These skirmish open days are always very well attended so please make sure you book in advance.  Our Tuddenham site can only accommodate limited numbers and we would hate to turn anyone away, so make sure you book a place to avoid disappointment!

In the new year, we’re straight back into it with a skirmish weekend at Camp Bravo on 5th & 6th January.

Both Josh and Doug will be spending minimal time in the office over the next few weeks so we can spend some time with our families, so please bear with us if we’re slower than usual to respond to emails and Facebook messages – we will try and keep our phones active as much as possible so please call us if you need anything answered more urgently.

Gunman Airsoft newsletter week 48 2018

Here is all the latest news from Gunman Airsoft:

Hi, Arnies,

Welcome to this week’s update from Gunman Airsoft.

Tuddenham’s skirmish event at the weekend was very well attended and the quality of play was outstanding both days.  Thank you everyone for making it another great weekend.

This weekend we have our first regular skirmish event at Eversley’s secondary site, “Camp Bravo”.  Situated less than half a mile down the road from our main Eversley site, right next to Eversley Storage, this site is ideally suited to the fast-paced, shorter scenarios found in our skirmish games.  New players very welcome, with rental packages available (book in advance to guarantee yours), non-booked walk-on players always welcome.

Next weekend we are back at Tuddenham for our Christmas FilmSim weekend.  The Evil Liberation Front (E.L.F.) have taken down Santa’s sleigh with an RPG and the presents have gone everywhere!  Santa’s special forces team need to get those presents retrieved and distributed before the day is over or Christmas will be totally ruined!

Teams will be red vs green – try and make the effort to dress up with something obviously bright red or bright green, full Santa, elf, snowman and reindeer suits are highly encouraged.  This is obviously intended to be a very silly weekend of daft fun, so please leave your “tacticool” loadouts at home and forget about stealth and camouflage just this once…

The following weekend will see a similar daftness taking place at Eversley.  Keep your eyes on the Facebook event page for full details to come.

Special games:

On Saturday 22nd December we will be running a specialist day at our Eversley and Tuddenham sites.  The scenarios will be very short as both these days are using weapons with low capacity magazines.

The Eversley event will be a pistol and shotgun day only.  Walk-on price is the usual £25 for the day, with limited rentals available for an extra £20.  Please pre-book your rental to avoid disappointment.

The Tuddenham event will be a low-cap only day.  LSW’s and HPA rifles on 30 round low-caps are welcome.  Walk-on price is the usual £25 secured by a £15 deposit, limited rentals are available for an extra £25 (including ammo).  There will only be limited places available for this unique special event, so make sure you get your £15 deposit paid online to secure your place.  Discount vouchers will be accepted and issued on this event.

Here is all the latest news from Gunman Airsoft:

Hi, Arnies,

Welcome to this week’s update from Gunman Airsoft.

We had yet another excellent weekend skirmish at Eversley, keep your eyes peeled for the next one – we will let you know as soon as we can squeeze another in.

This weekend we will be back at Tuddenham for another FilmSim open event.  Using bandages, limited ammo, longer scenarios and a slower pace, these games are more tactical and benefit from teamwork and communication.  Use of PMR446 squad radios encouraged.

We are also running a Red Mist Cold War event at Eversley this weekend.  Based in the mid 1980s with the Cold War having turned into WWIII – Germany is divided and the UK is under threat from the Warpac forces.  Featuring strong role-play throughout the weekend, this is one of our longest-running event series and is always popular.

Next weekend we have our usual FilmSim open event at Eversley as well as an Okto Eight MilSim event at Tuddenham.  Okto Eight MilSims are heavy on the role-play, and are unusual for a MilSim in that we take a break overnight for a bit of a social.  The series currently revolves around South American Cartels.  There are still some Cartel spaces left if you are interested in coming and require minimal kit.

Here is all the latest news from Gunman Airsoft:

Hi, Arnies,

Welcome to this week’s update from Gunman Airsoft.

We had another excellent skirmish weekend at Tuddenham despite the cold, windy weather – thank you to everyone who came along and joined in.  We look forward to seeing you all again at the end of November.

This weekend we have a skirmish weekend at Eversley, rental packages can be booked online in advance, walk-on customers with own kit can book online or just come along on the day.  Featuring a different style of play to our usual FilmSim weekends at Eversley, skirmish events are more fast-paced.

Next weekend we are back at Tuddenham again for a FilmSim open weekend – featuring bandages, limited ammo, longer scenarios and more tactical play, these weekends are still suitable for beginners and are an excellent way of easing yourself into MilSim or full FilmSim roleplay events.  Rentals are available if booked online, we are usually able to accept last minute walk-on customers on the day, but if you know you’re coming, why not guarantee your place with a £15 deposit?

We are restructuring our rental packages for 2019 to offer what we believe is better value for money for new or occasional customers without their own kit.  The advance cost of a day’s entry and weapon hire will be reduced to £50 and will now include 1000 rounds, thrown in free of charge.  Rental packages on the day for non-booked customers will remain at £50 with ammo to be purchased separately.  Non-booked rentals are always subject to availability on the day.  We hope this will offer better value for money, reduce wasted ammo and save confusion on pricing.

This weekend we are back at Tuddenham for our usual end of month skirmish event.  Places are selling out fast, so make sure you get your deposits in.  Josh will be making an appearance this weekend, if you’ve never met the legend behind Gunman Airsoft, now is your chance!

Hi, Arnies,

Welcome to this week’s update from Gunman Airsoft.

Once again, we had another cracking weekend at Tuddenham – both days were well attended and everyone played really well despite the wind and rain.  Many thanks to all.

This weekend we are back at Eversley for the Hunger Battles – five teams will be battling it out over vital resources which will be regularly dropped in a central area.  Teams must seize the resources, transport them back to their base and try to hold onto them for the duration of the battle.  As there will not be enough resources available for everyone to survive, teams may have to raid the other teams’ bases to try and steal what they have.

Next weekend we will be back at Tuddenham for the usual end of month skirmish madness!  Make sure you book on the website as these weekends are consistently busy.

We are also squeezing in another skirmish event at Eversley on the weekend of 3rd & 4th November – get booking!

Here is all the latest news from Gunman Airsoft:

Hi, Arnies,

Welcome to this week’s update from Gunman Airsoft.

We have an awesome event lined up for you this weekend at Tuddenham – using our FilmSim ruleset and inspired by the awesome videogame “The Division” we present our Dark Zone game.  In the contaminated ruins of the city, valuable resources need recovering and extracting.  These resources are heavily contaminated and can only be transported in special bags, which then need to be airlifted out of the zone by helicopter for decontamination.

The resources are heavily defended by local gangs and controlling factions, who have put aside their differences for the time being to fight off the raiding agents.  The agents consist of several different teams of rival agents who all have the option of working together to extract the maximum possible for the agency, or going rogue and getting the maximum for their team.  Remember, all actions have consequences…

Next weekend we have a FilmSim open event at Eversley – this time it’s the Hunger Battles!  Three to five teams will be fighting to retrieve and hold onto vital resources from a central drop-zone.  These resources are vital for their survival.  Once a resource has been recovered and returned to the team’s base, it’s still not secure until the end of the session – other teams can (and will) raid your camp and take your precious loot back to theirs.  Will you have enough resources to survive?

Hi, Arnies,

Welcome to this week’s update from Gunman Airsoft.

We had two amazing skirmish events at the weekend – one at Eversley and the usual one at Tuddenham.  Many thanks to everyone who came along and made them such great events.

This weekend we have a break, although Team Green is running an event at Tuddenham if you need an airsoft fix!

Next weekend we are back at Tuddenham with a Division themed FilmSim event.  These are always popular, with one team made up of several rival agencies trying to extract resources from the heavily defended dark zone.  The agencies can choose to work together or they can backstab each other to retrieve the maximum resources for their agency.  Either way, the defending team will be trying their hardest to hold on to the resources and deny the agents their goal.

FilmSim open weekends are suitable for all players and feature limited ammo, long scenarios and bandages for added immersion and realism.  Make sure you book on if you’re interested.

Welcome to this week’s update from Gunman Airsoft.

Thank you to everyone who came along to our Vietnam weekend at Eversley – it was another hugely successful event and very well enjoyed.

This weekend we have two skirmish events in store for you – one at Eversley as well as our usual end-of-month event at Tuddenham.  Spaces at Tuddenham are booking up fast, so make sure you get your deposit in on the website to secure your place.

We return to Tuddenham in two weeks’ time with another FilmSim event – this one is based on the Division video game and sees teams of agents attempting to extract valuable resources from the dark zone via helicopter, while fighting against defenders and possibly other agents.  Will you work with the other agents out there, or will you compete against them?  The choice is yours.

Hi, Arnies,

Welcome to this week’s update from Gunman Airsoft.

We had two excellent events at the weekend, with both the 24hr MilSim “Descent” and our monthly Eversley FilmSim event being really well attended.

This coming weekend we are running a Vietnam event at Eversley.  There are still limited tickets left for both sides, as well as a single day option for the Saturday – you do need to book before Thursday night though.

Next weekend we are back at Tuddenham for our regular end of month skirmish madness.  Secure your place by booking on the website to avoid disappointment.  Skirmish weekends feature shorter game scenarios with plenty of shooting for you to let off steam after a tough week.  Come along and get involved – camping is free and we can set the projector up for movies in the evenings if people want to watch something.

Tickets are now on sale for our next Red Mist cold war FilmSim event in November.  If you’ve never been to one of our Red Mist games before, you’re in for a real treat!  Pitting NATO forces against Warpac forces, there is a great mix of action, story and role-play based in the 1980s.  If you’re lacking uniform or a period weapon, don’t worry – we’ve got you covered – limited rental weapons available, as well as plenty of free loan uniforms.  Come and give it a try!
