New ACM G36KE

News in from Keith at RSOV is that a Chinese manufacturer is releasing a version of the G36KE, right now details are a little sketchy. But we will release more news and pictures as an when we receive them.

The latest issue ACM is the G36KE conversion kit, which contains handguard and barrel. I cannot say too much about it as I didn’t see it myself but I will  have it by tomorrow (Monday). The retial price is going to be about 60% less than current models on the market.

Thanks a lot and stay in touch, Keith.

May - a month of Chinese airsoft bonanza!

It turns out that a lot of new Chinese-made airsoft guns will be released in May. First, RealSword revealed the pricing of their products - with HKD3500 (roughly £225) for QBZ97 and HKD2900 (roughly £175) for Type 56, they reach the price level comparable to Tokyo Marui and Classic Army - which, taking the producer’s claim of “high quality” into account, is not absurdly expensive, as some people expected.

Gunner Airsoft has started a pre-order on the new releases from Double Eagle and ARMY - after Tokyo Marui, Classic Army and HFC, the next target for copying by the Chinese is G&G. The Double Eagle UMP will be a copy of G&G ‘UMG’ design, available in the next two weeks with a price tag of £40, while the Army ‘R85A1′ is a copy of G&G L85A1 and should be ready in a month’s time, price estimated at £60.

Also, the A&K M249 Mk2 should be out very soon - to recapitulate, sheet steel body, 400 fps velocity and price announced to be around £220 including shipping. The Mk1 and Para versions should follow soon after.

As for the ‘Rumor Mill’ part, the Cyma M1A1 Thompson (prototype of which was displayed at this year’s ShotShow in Orlando) and JLS F2000 should also be released in May.

MG stock pictures posted - FN MAG 58?

Definately one for the rumor mill at this time. Posted by recondo in the forums are shots of “A.E.G machine gun stock test sample”. Apparently made of high quality plastics and come from a free lance mold designer.  Looks like there’s gonna be a new M240 appearing on the market soon (Inokatsu?).

See what you make of them:

Hello everyone!

DarkLite here, with some new clone news from Hong Kong:

  1. An as-of-yet unknown manufacturer is making RPG and M72 launchers, most likely firing moscart shells a la Smokey’s RPG and DeepFire M72.
  2. A full metal M4 CQB/Silencer front end is on it’s way - the kit comes with a short free-float RIS, two RIS covers, a short, threaded, one-piece outer barrel and a Silencer, which unfortunately seems to be empty - there’s space for foam but none inside.
  3. A new VSR-10 copy from WELL, called the MB-03 is out.

I’ll be making news posts, hopefully with pictures, as more stuff comes out over here in Hong Kong. Also rumoured is a M203 copy, so I’ll be looking into that.

Arnies Scoop: Cold Smoke Grenades coming soon!

Here you go folks, this time a legitimate bit of gossip fresh in. :)

Rumour has it that a company named ALS are planning to release a cold smoke canister grenade within three months (roughly 90 days from now). These will come equipped with short delay fuses and be available in a selection of colours.

Why is this interesting you may ask? Well although the technology is bound to make them fairly pricey, it means that not only will the canister look spot on for mil-sim and general waltiness, but that they will be far safer to use than any current smoke grenade. This may mean that soon smoke pyroes will be usable in environments where previously traditional smokes (the sort which burn off a fuse with a naked flame) were deemed unsafe to be used.

For now this is only a rumour, so I have no pictures etc to offer. Should anyone find any info or hear any more rumours, feel free to drop me a line and I’ll be happy to give you full credit! :)

Spartan Imports comment on the KX3 license issue

I do try to avoid getting into politics on the news pages and involved in any arguments. That said the licensing issue was mentioned here (after a news submision from MadBull) so it seems only fair to post a reply from CA’s USA importer, Spartan Imports:

Spartan Imports, as Classic Army’s official representative in the United States, wishes to address the recent news posted on airsoft news websites by Madbull Airsoft of Classic Army’s alleged unauthorized reproduction of Noveske Rifle Works’ KX3 flash hider which Madbull has been licensed to reproduce for the airsoft market.

Spartan Imports is fully aware of the license agreement between Madbull Airsoft and Noveske Rifle Works LLC. However, we were unaware of Classic Army’s development and intention to release the KX3 flash hider airsoft copy. As a licensee of world class firearms trademarks such as Armalite, Arsenal, and Brugger & Thomet, Spartan fully respects and welcomes Madbull’s efforts to protect their and Noveske’s intellectual property. We fully respect all licensing agreements between Airsoft manufacturers and firearms companies. We have requested on Madbull’s behalf that Classic Army do the same.

To the best of our knowledge, this flash hider is an unreleased product and is not in the hands of any distributors, dealers, or Airsoft consumers. As a representative of Madbull products as well as Classic Army products in the United States, we have offered our assurances to Madbull that we are against the production and importation of this item into the United States. We are surprised, however, that Madbull has taken such a highly public and sensationalist approach to addressing this matter and we have asked them to retract the false allegations they have made regarding Classic Army’s existing products in the United States. Madbull’s vehemence in this matter against Classic Army is particularly surprising considering the number of Airsoft copies of the Noveske KX3 flash hider that are currently being produced by other manufacturers.

We have actively engaged Madbull in an attempt to find a resolution that will fully satisfy all parties involved. We hope that Madbull’s unwarranted statements were the result of their surprise and we welcome Madbull to work with us to reasonably and amicably resolve this matter.

Emory Sung, (Spartan Imports)

ICS New Releases for April 2007 Arnies Exclusive!

index02 1

AK-74MArnies Airsoft has scooped another breaking story! Our inside source at ICS who will remain anonymous has informed us that ICS will be releasing two new items to the Airsoft community. These will be available early April.

The releases will be of ICS’s new AKS-74U with solid and folding and also the AKM with solid folding stock. Our inside source said:

Yes, the AKS-74U will use real wood but will not have a solid folding stock, while we will add a folding stock version to our AKM range.

Right now though the only exact information we have is that the AKM folding stock version and that the AKS-74U will be released but final details are unsure, although it will have real wood furniture as standard!

Noveske Rifle Works LLC To Take Legal Action!

full logo650

In a statement made yesterday by MadBull Airsoft it seems that Noveske Rifle Works LLC is not happy with the amount of illegal copies of their products on the market, one of the main violators of copyright infringement is Classic Army who have produced copies of the Noveske Rifle Works LLC KX3 flash hider. Currently MadBull Airsoft is the only company with a license agreement with Noveske Rifle Works LLC who has been asked to pursue action against Classic Army on behalf of Noveske Rifle Works LLC. In repsonse to this request MadBull released this statement:

Dear Gents,

All of you should know “Piracy is illegal and violate the laws.”

I respect Classic Army a lot as they are one of the leading companies in the industry and they always usually gain permission to use licensed trademarks and logos, but I am so sorry that I have to announce that Classic Army is illegally using the Noveske Rifle Works LLC trademarks and logos on their products.

KX3bNoveske is currently licensing to MadBull as the single manufacturer to produce Airsoft edition replicas of their items, which under go strict quality control regulations set by Noveske Rifle Works LL which MadBull Airsoft must meet in order to keep the license, this provides not only top quality products to our customers but also protects the name and image of Noveske Rifle Works LLC in the market place.
.
We at MadBull Airsoft will talk contact Classic Army today to see their responses to a statement already released by Noveske Rifle Works LLC and MadBull Airsoft to see how this situation can be resolved without legal action and maintaining the current good relations we have. If they don’t take any action, we can ask US Custom to cease all Classic Army shipment to US.

KX3-2bUnfortunately things can get even worse for Classic Army, Noveske Rifle Works LLC has already acquired an amount of Classic Army’s product for inspection and have told us that there are certain points that the Classic Army’s version will violate ATF’s regulation, meaning that owners who already have this product are in violation themselves and are breaking the law having purchased the Classic Army version in good faith. MadBull takes a long time to research and develop our products to conform to US ATF regulations.

Again, we hope all Airsoft players can help us to support the legal copies. We are paying money to these firearms companies to make them happy and to make the authorized legal products that are priced fairly and in some cases, even cheaper than the copied versions while maintaining a quality assurance that exceeds current Airsoft standards.

Please help support licensed version and help not only protect the sport but also innovate design and companies who are willing to cut profits to bring you the best products.

Piracy is illegal and violates the laws, protect your sport and protect yourselves.

Kind Regards,

MadBull Airsoft

Arnies Exclusive (well, sort of): Chinese CA M249 Clone!

My good friend Mike_West has been in touch with some hot off the press info regarding a CA249 clone which has just been announced, along with a few Armalite variants announced by A&K. The post can be viewed (along with other excellent news at Mike’s blog), so I’ll leave the details to him. Many thanks Mike!

CA Copy With Stamped Steel Body; Release Date Set For July

What you see on the photo is a working prototype of Chinese M249 Mk2 clone - based on the Classic Army design and boasting a stamped steel body (yeah, you see that right!). Also, Mk1 and Para models are planned to be released along. I guess that’s the definite proof - after long-standing rumors and strange photos with watermarks of Chinese airsoft shop we have a photo from the inside.

If you’re interested, here’s a photo of the aforementioned body. My guess is that it’ll be as sturdy as the CA original, if not stronger. Also, as inside info claims, the replica will be sold with an electric box magazine.

Also, A&K will release another product from their Armalite line in June. After their critically acclaimed M4 S-System and recently released M16A3, M4A1, M4 CQB and M4 RIS, the new product is a SPR Mk12 Mod.0 - which should be of interest to any airsoft marksmen.

Echo 1 USA legal announcement

echo1

I have just received this press statement from the “Echo 1 Sports, In.” team over in the USA.

Some companies who are carrying JG’s products said that ECHO 1 USA is exactly the same as JG.This is totally incorrect.
ECHO1’s products have been carefully selected before we ship to US and even the internal parts are different!
Plus, we provided local service and warranty in USA.

These companies are using our brand name to promote their own products and it is violate the laws.
We already asked our lawyers to send letter to companies, including Airsplat.com

A statement from 6Mil Airsoft

As you may have read on this forum and elsewhere, 6Mil Airsoft in Cannock had a break-in the other day. Here’s a statement from them:

We would like to inform the Airsoft Community that the 6Mil business premises in Cannock were broken into on Tuesday 8th March at roughly 8:30pm and airsoft AEG’s were removed. 25 AEG’s in total were taken, mainly produced by Classic Army. The AEG’s removed predominantly covered the range of MP5’s, AK’s and M16 / M4’s.

Whilst this situation is unfortunate for the business, it is 6Mil’s main concern that there is the possibility of 25 replicas now on the streets being put to mis-use. Therefore 6Mil offers rewards for any information leading to the apprehension of thief/thieves and or safe return of the AEG’s taken.

It is regrettable that this incident made the front page of the local tabloids, the last thing that our sport needed was some negative publicity considering the current climate, however this was beyond our control.

Some of the more notable, rarer replicas include a fully custom built Hurricane H&K 416, featuring a distinctive Pro-Win gearbox. A unique TDI Arms RIS attachment, which allows a Glock pistol only to be attached to the underside of a RIS rail on a main arm.

Hurricane SR47 kit built onto a CA M4 with CA crane stock & Battery
Classic Army XM177 E2 - Very new AEG on the market.
Classic Army M15A4 Tactical Carbine with a Classic Army plastic 203 attached.
Classic Army M15A4 R.I.S. with desert tan stock, front grip and hand grip.
G&G M16 GR16A3 with G&G SR-15 RAS Kit / Smokey PEQ Box.
G&P M4A1 with ICS Tsunami R.A.S.

All the Classic Army AEG’s have serial numbers and we have record of these, obviously all these could well be offered as parts only. If you see, or are offered any of the above, or even suspicious about certain AEG’s being offered at low prices, please do not hesitate to contact us, all information will be gratefully received.

You can contact us on the following information: sales@6mil.co.uk or ring 01543 466356. Please rest assured that all calls and contacts will be kept completely confidential.
As stated previously, rewards are offered for any information leading to the apprehension of thief/thieves and or safe return of the replicas taken.

Quotes taken from the Staffordshire Police news website:
“Officers in Cannock are calling for witnesses after imitation firearms were stolen from a shop in the area.”

“It is believed three people were seen outside the premises and loading an estate car with the toys shortly before 8.30pm yesterday (7 March).”
“One of the offenders is described as wearing a white baseball cap and another wearing a white jacket.”

“Inspector Mat Derrick, Neighbourhood Policing Unit (NPU) commander for Cannock, said: “These are replica firearms and can be misinterpreted for real weapons.”
“We would urge anyone with information on the incident, or anyone who is offered these toys to contact Staffordshire Police immediately.”

“Anyone with information should contact Inspector Derrick on 08453 302010 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111″.

6Mil Team.

HR428 - US proposal to firearm shaped toys

A friend in the US mailed this one over which I thought was worthy of bringing to the attention of US readers:

110th U.S. Congress (2007-2008) H.R. 428: To require the Consumer Product Safety Commission to ban toys which in size, shape, or overall appearance resemble real handguns

Status: Introduced

This bill is in the first step in the legislative process. Introduced bills go first to committees that deliberate, investigate, and revise bills before they go to general debate. The majority of bills never make it out of committee.

Bill Overview:

Introduced: Jan 11, 2007
Sponsor: Rep. Edolphus Towns [D-NY](no cosponsors)
Last Action: Jan 11, 2007: Referred to the House Committee on Energy and Commerce.

Shot Show Florida!

DSC 0039My contact at the Shot Show in FL has sent me in some images, along with some amazing news regarding goodies for us Airsoft players!

This is what has been announced!

  • Madbull has secured the licence to exclusively make Advanced Armament Corp. products!
  • MagPul will make there very own M4 variant, and an AIRSOFT version of it too! (See take a look here!)
  • Other Airsoft manufacturers have got licence agreements but so far no information has been released.

Also in the thread are some amazing images of MagPul’s variant of the SCAR named the Masada (I’m wondering if this is a biblical reference!)

So take a look at more images and news inside!

Quick VCR update

I thought I’d add a bit of text that Pablo posted in the VCR Bill section of the forums. There’s been a lot of questions lately about the bill, its affect and when it comes into play.

My understanding so far is that under the proposed scheme (set to come into play for April 2007) sites are encouraged to register with the ABA, then when a player goes to buy equipment their registration is validated against a known list of players.

The compulsory comencement dates set by government are 6th April and 1st October. The ABA have been told early spring so they assume the 6th april is the relevant date for us. The regulations must be distributed at least 21 days before that date, but as yet there is still no legal definition of a RIF (Realistic Imitation Firearm, as opposed to an IF). The ABA have a meeting with the Home Office next week.

At present, the ABA need more support from sites. The UKASGB which represents sites is working with the ABA to establish a scheme whereby players must register with a site in order to join a national database of players. Retailers (represented by UKARA) can then check this database to ensure they sell to airsoft skirmishers (to whom the exemption applies) and that they are complying with the law. If your regular site doesn’t sign up to the scheme, you won’t be able to register and therefore you won’t be able to buy guns from 6th April.

You can find the ABA website here, with the link to register to access their forums is hidden at the bottom of the page. We’d add more but as things stand news releases are few and just about all that’s relevant has been posted by Pablo at the top of the VCR forums.

At the moment there are obviously quite a few questions that remain unanswered which include how EU/HK/Japan/USA imports will work, direct EU imports across the border, customs declarations, and who is going to keep control of the proposed registration scheme. If you want to ask relevant questions I’d recommend registering on the ABA site and asking them there. We’ll add anything that’s noteworthy that is sent our way.

Chinese MP5 PDW clone coming

There’s a new TM MP5 PDW clone coming to a store near you. Those of you after a PDW copy, or just dead eager to grab cheap spare parts can now rejoice.

Made by “Galaxy” (whoever they turn out to be), it looks to be a pretty straight copy of the TM version although looks to come with both the folding stock and the solid rear plate:

More details are available in the forums here. Thanks go to boen for posting them there. As for the iguana in the first shot.. not a clue.
