Odds and ends at Echigoya
Over at Echigoya Japan there’s a few new items that have come out. Including some new QD (22Tx30 Throw Lever, and a TRR Tactical Ring Rail) scope rings for Aimpoint style scopes and forward grips (3,000 Yen) with Colt style grips (5,651 Yen), all from StarAirsoft.
There’s also a “Randall Custom” style M1873 from KTW for 14,952 Yen which looks to be a 6mm replica. The TTR unit is a replacement clamp for the 30mm half scope ring sets and gives you a 20mm rail over your scope.
TM RC Tiger promo material
Over at LAGunshop they have the Marui promotional poster for their new RC tank. Apart from being a rather decent model anyway the Marui tanks in general make fun office toys and a great distraction from the hum-drum of day to day life.
As mentioned before this new tank from Marui has individual linked tracks (look like metal) as opposed to the rubber one piece tracks on cheaper versions and comes complete with individually movable working suspension.

Jimmy over at Intrudershop has sent in the latest breaking shots from their R&D department over there. New up is a high quality metal receiver (available in various engravings/formats). According to Jimmy the new lower reciever can be used as a replacement for Systema’s own receiver. Here’s the details from him:

New customs at Wolf
Max (WolfArmouries) has sent over shots of some of their latest custom builds (available in shop). The photos are so new that they haven’t even made it to their own website yet.
Thanks go out to the guys there for sending them in.
Pre-built gear should be dead handy for anyone looking for an AEG different from the norm but without the time to build something themselves. Remember that you can walk in and buy these as is.
New TM releases at First
First Factory have some of the new TM releases listed at the moment. The new electric non-blowback Glock 18C, called by them "the next generation hand gun" is listed for 11,000Yen (99USD/56UKP). Release date is given as "11 last third" which (best guess) means the end of November this year.
The P226 pistol and M4-S system are both listed, hoever no release date or price is given for either of them at the moment.

Team Wannabe in this issue of BoysToys
This month in the new issue of BoysToys you’ll find a nice three page spread about Airsoft and a focus on the guys over at Team Wannabe. The images below give you an idea of what to expect, but naturally the resolution is restricted.. you have to go and buy the magazine yourself to find out what’s been printed. :)
A big thansk go out to Mark for sending in the shots and details. The Team Wannabe lads went through the 747 tubular assault training earlier this year, and the article sports lots of
photos from that event.
Airsoft Combat Operations winter event
Ryan Sytsma
has dropped me a line about his adventure company in Michigan over in the US.
Hello Arnie’s Airsoft, I own an Airsoft club/adventure company in Michigan, United States, Airsoft Combat Operations LLC, acoclub.com. This winter, we will be holding the largest indoor airsoft CQB league program in the tri-state area located in Lyons, Michigan. Ryan Sytsma
858Airsoft new article
Tyler at 858Airsoft has dropped me a line of the latest articles over at their website:
It’s Tyler from 858Airsoft.com. Just wanted to let you know that I just finished another how to about indexing your thumb break on your holster. I put together a combination ‘how to index your thumb break and draw your weapon’.
This how to has a basic step by step on how to set up your thumb break for the quickest and most efficient use of the thumb break. I also have some video on the page as well so that people can see this method in action. Tyler, (858Airsoft)
News roundup from the forums
Next a bit of a roundup of the news posted in our forums here by our readers (as we can’t spot everything that’s out there ourselves all the time):
Urbandork has posted some shots and links to the standalone buttstock M203 unit from GBTech. The unit has been listed on GB-Tech’s front page for quite a bit, but WGCShop have put up details on their site that it’s shortly to be released. There aren’t any more details at the manufacturer’s website at the moment.
On the subject of GBTech, Ironwolf has posted a shot of a new refillable gas can from GBTech. The can looks like a TD Distraction Device. Handy if you’re fed up of carrying unmanagable gas cans in the field.
Enzo100 has spotted some ICS rifles posted recently on the RedWolf website. There’s a new ICS C15 and revision of their M4 RIS model listed there.
Latest from Sanken
The guys at Gunshop Sanken over in Japan have some new shots of the latest products there with them. First up is the M249 Minimi Upper RAS from Prime Airsoft, there’s also nice shots of the Marushin COP357 in chrome.
Mojji (Sanken’s own brand), makes of their own automatic scope cover flip up sets , have released the Hornet 30EL scope. Available in 3-9×40 and 3-9×50 varients, the scope feature illuminated reticule and all the usual refinements you’d expect (see shots for more details). There’s also some shots of some new sear reinforcement parts for the VSR10 made by Daiki.
Christopher Reeve passes away
Admittadly a bit late in the day, but I personally thought a news post was appropriate. Christopher Reeve passed away yesterday at the age of 52.
On Saturday October 9, Reeve fell into a coma after going into cardiac arrest while at home. Reeve was being treated for a pressure wound that he developed, a common complication for people living with paralysis. In the past week, the wound had become severely infected, resulting in a serious systemic infection.
Reeve was admitted to Northern Westchester Hospital on Saturday evening and never regained consciousness. His family was at his side at the time of death. Dana Reeve, Christopher’s wife, issued this statement:
“On behalf of my entire family, I want to thank Northern Westchester Hospital for the excellent care they provided to my husband. I also want to thank his personal staff of nurses and aides, as well as the millions of fans from around the world who have supported and loved my husband over the years.”
“The family asks that you respect their privacy at this very difficult time, “said Wesley Combs, publicist for Mr. Reeve.
Reeve is survived by his mother Barbara Johnson and his father Franklin Reeve, his brother Benjamin Reeve, his wife Dana, their twelve year old son Will and his two children from a former relationship, Matthew (25) and Alexandra (21).

For those who care to do so, the family has requested that donations be made in his honor to the Foundation. Christopher Reeve Foundation
