Whilst mentioning the AUG mounts by First, Martin Geilswijk over in Denmark dropped us a line about this mount that’s available from Guns’N'Guys in HongKong, with a shot of his own AUG with the mount fitted.
At this point a direct link to the product’s pages escapes me at the moment, but looking at the photos there’s also a rather nice Samurai laser unit mouted to the rail interface which we haven’t seen a great deal of before.
Edit: Just to update you can now find the mount in two versions on GnG’s pages, one model in OD, the other in black. The RIS unit is made by BestGunShop.

Another little update on new and exiting things a plenty.
First up the much anticipated G18C MAEG (Micro AEG) is still set for an early December release - we will have one of these prior to that for review and believe me we’ll let you know all about it. Supply, initially, will be short and demand is expected to be high so we will be running a pre order on this item. Watch this space for more news.
Next we have a very nice piece of kit from GWS an XM8 conversion kit for the G36, contrary to some rubbish that has been circulating on the net this project is very much real and is due out late December early 2005, much like the G18 MAEG demand is expected to be high and supply will be low so we will also be running a pre order on these kits, price of the kit (alone) will be in the region of £225… again watch this space.
And lastly another reminder to check the Inazuma offers, quite simply these are the best deals for UK customers in the world right now. The guys at Fallout Airsoft have sent over word of their new site at the old Bladsey SAM site:
As the 55 year old cracks continue to ooze H20 at the Basildon Fallout underground site the boys have been busy preparing their new site at the Baldsey surface to air missile site. Fallout wanted a site that kept skirmishing up close and personal, they didn’t want people traipsing for 3 miles without firing a shot. It looks like their efforts are going to pay of as on December the 5th the long shut gates shall be opened and they hope to offer airsofters a very unique experience. “The way we see it is that regardless of how many acres you have, there aren’t many people that would want to walk to a mission objective soaked through to the skin with rubbing boots.” quotes Sam of Fallout. “We want people to learn how to play the site, kind of like Basildon on a large scale”.
Fallout describe the lay of the land as slightly undulated but you wouldn’t want to look for a golf ball. Weeds have taken over in places and remain to provide excellent natural cover. Each playing area has different purpose buildings ranging from a gatehouse to TYPE 84 defences. Players will note that although the site is long and thin there are many unseen vantage points waiting to be found.
Keeping with tradition Fallout will be running various games based around CQB and they will be making use of the variety of terrains they have. If you are a tree hugger Fallout have built some very comfortable wooden benches but that’s as close to a tree as you are going to get. As for the best DPM, only father time will tell.

A friend of mine involved in the music industry has finished and released his first album under his own label at IveryMusic. It’s not Airsoft related, but he helps out when I need help, so it’s only fair to return the favour and give him some airtime. All the music is written, sung and performed by the same person which is no easy task, especially when you’re talking about creating an entire album.
The new album from him “Before You Wake” is there to buy, plus there’s demo tracks that you can download and have a listen to (there’s some tracks listed in his forums too). I like the music myself and as the tracks are fairly varied there’s more than likely something for everyone there. Have a look and if you like things why not buy a copy of his album?

It’s official Jo (Flecktarn.co.uk) is mad - no really she’s just sent me an email at 4AM with their latest updates. Of course there’s a perfectly rational explanation for me being awake and busy at this time, which has nothing to do with Andromeda being on TV at the moment.
