G&P new parts
Phew.. quite a lot going on of late over the Christmas period. G&P have also updated their pages with a metal slide/barrel for the Glock 17, a new SR-25 long gearbox, and their M203 launchers and M3 "tactical head" are on special offer.
The Tactical Head Lamp is for their M3 flashlight series and fits either the LED or standard lamp unit. The M203 launch tubes are the standard parts we all know, and the Glock slide is for the KSC 17 series and includes a new slide, barrel and steel spring guide (it features standard Glock decals too). The SR25 long gearbox is fairly unusual and designed specifically for the SR25 receiver frame. The new gearbox comes with a new long cylinder, selector plate, piston head, cylinder head, long piston, 7mm bushing set, nozzle, sector gear and tappet – so you’ll need some standard parts to build a complete gearbox.
Sun Project M16 carbine ltd run release
The guys at Endoshoji Japan added news to their pages that Sun Project are producing a new limited run of their old gas blowback M16 carbine units. These older style rifles use external gas supplies and are full metal apart from the front grips and sliding stock parts.
The chamber system is listed as being full metal (nickel plated brass) to provide a real blow back shooting experience, and the quality and detail of the parts and decals is also complimented. Each unit has a unique serial number and will take pretty much any AEG M4/16 magazine.
This may be a good chance for anyone that’s after one of the BV style M4s to grab one who didn’t really fancy buying a second hand unit that’d been on a shelf for years. Endoshoji list it as a BV rifle, however I’m told that it actually uses the Escort gas system (cheers Antagon).
New carbon stock at Echigoya
Echigoya have released a new carbon style stock for the M4 series, actually they have released two different varients of their carbon stocks. There’s an original carbon stock which is a copy of the shape/form of the standard M16 stock, and the “type-s” model with is more contoured.
The standard stock retails for 17,800Yen, and the Type-S model retails for a little more at 19,800Yen. These parts are straight bolt on units and can be installed straight onto a TM M4/M16 stock mount. Also on their pages is a shot of the now released TOP M249 NATO (the Mk2 with OD parts, new rail mount top cover and barrel shroud). Priced at 141,120Yen it’s not cheap but then again it is rather large.
New Aimpoint replica from CA
Classic Army have released details of a new Aim Point scope replica from them. There’s no other details about the model available at the moment but it’s your fairly standard AimPoint ML2 replica that we’ve seen before.
The new model "OP67" is shown to come with flip up covers, the battery/adjustment cover retainer and a standard scope mount. RRP is unknown but it’s sure to be fairly competative and lack any ‘real’ markings.
TOP MP40 out 5th Jan
TOP (Target Original Planning) have released an updated poster for their electric MP-40 release that’s been on their books for some time now. The new AEG release is scheduled for release on the 5th of January in the new year at a price of 59,800Yen.
The new electric SMG comes with a hop up system, takes up to a 9.6V battery pack, comes with a folding stock and original markings. It’s hard to tell at this point how much of the build is metal, and how much is plastic although from the shots available the mould and join lines are fairly visable.
Festive holiday greetings
Sorry, not doing any huge updates at the moment as it’s the festive period (yup that snow last week was a bit of a hint, and much fun to drive through) but will get through email and things that need to be added to the site shortly. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and all that. ![]()
Get your Christmas gifts at AA

It was nice to enjoy some festive Airsoft Armoury hospitality yesterday (bacon butties were all out, but the lasagne rocked); first up I wanted to say thanks to all the guys there and also I wanted to stick up some shots and information for them on the news page here. I could mention the occasional fumigation issue in their office, and the odd boy band haircut but that’d be unfair.. or something (honest, I’m only joking). They’re a very nice bunch of chaps and run a highly pleasant place to empty your wallet. ![]()
There’s a huge stock of Classic Army equipment and KWA pistols in stock at the moment. The KWA rail framed Glock 19s are lovely bits of kit, and coming with a metal slide and barrel you’d have to be especially cruel to it (or ham fisted in my case) to break things.
The KWA G23F is a true pocket rocket and there’s a nice selection of custom gear at Airsoft Armoury including a G23F with custom a sliding stock. For anyone thinking of getting Christmas presents at the last minute (I think that pretty much covers the entire male population of the planet) don’t forget that you really do need new Airsoft toys, and remember the guys there will be more than happy to describe to you in detail why your better half really does need a brand spanking new MKII M249. Sod “…saying it with Roses”, say it with Airsoft!

New from around the globe
In random news from around the globe (yup, no pretty pictures – you have to read things :o) )- Star Airsoft now have a published email address on their website you can get them at services@starairsoft.com. X-Fire have released a new spacer for the Maruzen APS Type 96. For movie fans Marushin’s T2 shotgun replica is now hitting the shops in Japan, so give it a couple of days and they should also be available at all your usual outlets. King Arms have announced their own wood grips sets for thew AK47S and some QD scope ring sets.
Hudson’s gas blowback Heavy Weight Tokarev (TT-33) is now out (new HW2210 specification) at a retail price of 18,900 Yen, there has been a huge delay on the shipment of this pistol because of the Niigata earthquake, meaning their part supplies are low at the moment. The pistol is designed to run on 134a (Hudson gear is severely alergic to ‘22) and has a 10 round capacity.
New WA pistols now listed
Western Arms have released shots of the upcoming releases that we mentioned first a while back. Now on their website are pages for the SCW V10 Ultra Compact, the S&W 1911, and the SCW M8045 Cougar F.
The M8045F will retail for 19,800 Yen, comes with a heavy weight frame and slide, the transfer hammer and gas control system have been improved, the hammer position is more realistic, the grips are very close to the real thing, and the piston stroke has been improved to give a better blowback action.
The S&W 1911 retails for 24,800Yen and comes in a matt finish with heavy weight slide/frame (specs are much the same as any other .45 from WA). The cute little VSR10 retails for 26,000Yen and is HW again with a silver paint finish. The pistol comes with a one piece wrap around ergonomic grip, but the pistol itself will only be available in limited quantities (from their Shibuya shop). The VSR10 will be out on December the 31st and the M8045F and SW1911 are both out on January the 15th.
New parts at Laylax
Laylax have released a series of new parts recently. There’s a new inner barrel and barrel spacer for the Maruzen P99, new AEG sealing nozzles, and a huge 10.8V 1100mAh pack for their AN/PEQ2 replica.
The barrel set for the Maruzen P99 is a high tollerance 6.03mm ID set with a special inner coating to increase accuracy (RRP 3,700Yen). The new P99 barrel spacer gives a much better loading operation over the standard unit and costs 750Yen. The sealing nozzle for AEG gearboxes is self lubricating (which means that it moves quite freely) and made to high tollerances to reduce load on the gearbox and increase performance (o-ring fitted). There’s three different nozzles available, one for the G3 series, one for the MP5 and on for the M16/4 sets all cost 1,200Yen. The new PEQ fit battery is nothing hugely fancy, just very high capacity and costs 6,800Yen.
New AKS kits out 25/12 from Guarder
The guys at Guarder have sent over a poster of their new folding stock AKS projects which they’ve set for a December 25th release.
The AKS74 models are full metal (steel) and come with a stamped steel receiver, steel rear sights, bayonet mounts, metal folding stock with decent stock release button.
The AKS74M comes with a modern style foregrip whilst the AKS74 comes with a laminated wood foregrip. No prices are listed as of yet, but the kits are set as a limited edition run, so may well disappear quickly.
New 5.1 parts at Smokies
Smokies Gun Factory (ignore their root domain, it’s going to some wierd page with fluffy animals on it at the moment) have just launched a huge range of addon parts for the Tokyo Marui Hi-Cap 5.1 and added them to their website.
Yup.. I think the 5.1 does win the award for most accessorised pistol this year. ;)
Prices for the parts vary and can be see at the top of each part’s individual page.
There’s a new recoil rod and series of barrel extensions (8/10 inch), new treaded muzzle, ported muzzle, silencer, various compensators, new RIS mount, trigger blades and some insta-stickon competition grip/mag release sets.
phpBB and PHP critical updates
I don’t often bother with such updates, but as this one has already affected some Airsoft websites in the world and is sure to affect more it needs to be posted.
PHP and phpBB are two very common software sets out on the internet these days, and recently critical updates have been released for both because of newly apparent security holes that could be exploited. Versions of PHP prior to 4.3.10 and phpBB prior to 2.0.11 are at risk. The fixes for phpBB have been out since the 4th however many websites are still running the older versions and as of yesterday the Santy.A worm started doing the rounds. This new worm is a perl script that makes use of the highlighting exploit to deface sites running the older versions of phpBB.
A cursory look on the net shows that there’s more than just a few Airsoft forums and websites out there running phpBB that are not up to date. If you are a member of a forum or reader of a website elsewhere that runs on phpBB that is not up to date (latest version for phpBB is currently 2.0.11 – normally shown in the footer the very bottom of the page) please do your local website or colleagues/friends a favour and email the webmaster/owner of that site to remind them to check and upgrade their software urgently.
Major Airsoft websites in USA and Canada have already been caught out; true a website owner should actively keep on top of their updates anyway, but at this time of year effort can somewhat lapse and people can get distracted.. well you know how it is. Help from the community will go a long way to helping stop any other needles defacements or attacks.
New reader offer online thanks to PowerAtom Tech.
