New products at AirsoftGI
Walter over at Airsoft GI has a couple of new items in stock that may well be of interest to a few folks. There’s the new XM203 BB Shower mount from Madbull, and the DEVGRU TM01 throat mic setup. Here’s the details:
Apparently the throat mic is 105 USD and the adaptors are 15USD each. You will need to find out what type of radio pins you have before you purchase the adaptor though. The Madbull XM203 is 119.00 per unit, which isn’t bad at all, making it one of the cheaper launchers out there. I’ve just had a look over the pages at their site and they have all been tidied up some more with more products being listed there in the centre column. Visit Airsoft GI for the latest.
UKSAPA launches
I’ve been sent in news of the UKSAPA (these acronyms are getting harder and harder to remember these days), which is the United Kingdom Southwest Airsoft Players Association. The site has been set up for free by some kind souls and I’ve been assured that the site is simply created to benefit others and will not carry any adverts or links to any commercial organisations. The hope is that the site and concept will encourage player around the UK to set up and join their own associations:
Welcome to the UKSAPA Website: The UKSAPA is a representative Association for Airsoft players to join, and give their sport a recognised, collective, and democratic voice, all the aims are in the Constitution. This body has been set up exclusively for the players, it will have no commercial ties, and be non-profit making. The current Secretary and Chairman will re-elected or replaced as soon as is practically possible.
If you feel you are a Southwest Airsoft player, please sign-up. www.uksapa.org. Mr R Goddard and K Markley (Southwest Airsoft Players)

VCR Bill currently being read for the second time
Right now the second reading of the Violent Crime Bill is happening right now in the House of Commons at the moment. Due to the wonders of the internet you can watch a live video stream of what’s going on in there right now.
There are some good comments being raised by MPs that have been contacted by members of the public (it has to be the first tiem I’ve heard "Airsoft" and "Airsofting", mentioned in the Commons).
To watch it right now, go to http://www.parliamentlive.tv/ and click "Watch Now" next to the House of Commons link.
Right now you can see how some uninformed MPs make highly erroneous sweeping statements about "imitation firearms and how they can be reactivated", which every reasonable person knows simply isn’t the case (for the record.. something that’s manufacturered inert can’t be reactivated, and anything that can be is already illegal in the UK). On the bright side there are some very sensible comments being made right now, I’d recommend watching it if you are concerned about what’s going on right now. Anyone in Hackney might want to contact their MP as she is wildly off the mark in a vast majority of her comments.
Edit (22:44): Well it’s all over now. For those that missed it a full transcipt of what was said should appear in the Hansard, specifically in the Daily Debates section. As expected there’s more than a few hard liners in the commons, but equally there look to be a very good selection of MPs that are more aware of the firearms ammendments and sympathetic towards legal owners and businesses.
ASG news on the CA Arsenal SLR 105
Martin Stelling at Action Sport Games has sent in all the release news concerning the new SLR 105 that’s coming from Classic Army including projected release dates for all the upcoming gear. The shots of the 105 are good quality, so may well take a bit of time to download I’m afraid.
I wasn’t aware of the complete list but Action Sport Games now have licenses from the following places Arsenal Inc., USA, Franchi S.p.A., Italy, ArmaLite Inc., USA, Ceska Zbrojovka (CZ), Czech Republic, Steyr Mannlicher, Austria, Cobray Company, USA, Eagle Arms, USA, STI International, USA, Brügger & Thomet AG, Switzerland and Zastava Arms D.P., Serbia & Montenegro. Obviously some of those we already know of, but if you look through the list it may hint at further Marui inspired Classic Army designs appearing in the EU and USA licensed from those companies:
Enclosed please find some images of the coming AK type model from Classic Army – the Arsenal SLR 105 A1.
The expected release is in August-September, but as you know nothing is certain in the air soft industry.
Furthermore I can give you some information about future CA releases.
The M15 A4 C.Q.B. is on sea at the moment and we expect to have in stock by the end of July.
The estimated release dates for comming models are:
M15A4 C.Q.B. – End July
CA249 MK II – End July (few customers) and Mid August (for everybody).
CA36k, CA36 – August.
SLR 105 A1 (AK74) – Sep.
B&T MP5 and STEYR AUG. – Sep-Oct.These models will have worldwide release dates and willl not be sold to Hong Kong shops. They can exclusively be bought through the European Classic Army retailers. You can see them on our website.
I will let you know when we know more about the exact release dates of M15A4 C.Q.B. and CA249 MKII. Mark, (Action Sport Games)
New A2 website and offers
Lee at AirsoftArmoury Ltd has sent over some news about their new website that they have online now and new offers that they have on the new site as a celebration:
Our new website is now up and running. It’s still a work in progress but it is about 90% complete. There are quite a few good features on there including email confirmation on every step of the order process, live stock updates, product reviews/pictures and much more.
To celebrate the opening of the new site, there are a host of special offers, including KWA USP compact (with markings) at £49.99!! Customers can now pre-order the new CA M15 CQB and CA M249 MII direct from the site. New in stock are the Madbull 8mm 60 round 40mm gas grenades, which really pack a punch but users may suffer the odd snigger down at the game site as they do suffer from a bit of an ‘image’ problem.

Updates and a new review from Team KGB
What with the current issues over the VCR bill and other work I’ve not had the time I’d like to dedicate to news updates, but I’ll do my best to keep the pages updated a good bit more this weekend. New in is news from the lads at TeamKGB (well, more specifically Mark):
We thought it might be nice to bring you some positive news from sunny Cornwall. There’s an addition to our ever popular reviews of the new Western Arms SCW Version 2 Smith & Wesson 1911.
We’ve also announced the second of our now widely regarded overnighters this August running from 2 pm on Saturday the 27th until midday on Sunday the 28th August. Its loosely based on the Falkland’s War and setting (who said Cornwall isn’t bleak or cold enough?). Play will be running through the night although there will be “safe areas” for those not wanting to sleep in the field. We’ve got limited places available – but given the VCR bill and possible implications we thought we’d throw an invite out to the wider community. The cost for the weekend will be £20.00 payable in advance.
If you’ve any questions or comments hop over to this thread on our forums. We hope to see some of you there!”
Mark, (TeamKGB)
SaveAirsoft.org updates and some good news
Well there is good news coming from the saveairsoft.org campaign website. There are constructive and supportive responses on there from several MPs including Paul Goodman MP, Richard Bacon MP, Andrew MacKay MP, John Redwood MP, Nick Palmer MP, John Whittingdale OBE MP, Ian Taylor MBE MP and Humfrey Malins MP. Check their news page for the responses so far.
It’s important that everyone that can contacts their local MP to make responsible, sensible and thoughtful communications to them on the subject. There are suggested topics that could be used in a draft letter (if writing isn’t your strong point), and there are resources to find your local MP there too.
We have a complete list of MPs in the forums so when you contact your MP, please quickly make a note of it by replying to the topic and if you have time post any responses that you get (if you’re unable or do not wish to register, drop me a quick email at arnie@arniesairsoft.co.uk so that I can tick the list off). We’d like to compile a complete list so that it is known which MPs have not been contacted. Note: There’s no problem with any MP being contacted more than one constituent.. The list will be updated with details once every 24hours or so.
Echigoya International to open soon
Echigoya are about to open a more internationally friendly website with the intention of taking orders from the western world. Their new international order website will be http://www.echigoyaint.com, although I should point out that there’s nothing there for the public at the moment.
There’s no details when the website will be opened to the public completely (although a good guess would be that something should be live by Friday), but it’s worth keeping an eye on as the more shops in Japan that are happier to take orders form outside of Japan the better.

CA M15 CQB in full detail
Sergio over at ClassicArmyItalia has some of the new M15 CQBs in and very kindly took on to pieces and sent in a heap of photos of it just for the site. The new CQB should represent the best AR15 copy from ClassicArmy to date, and everything looks good from the photos so far.
There’s a lot of photos and a lot of information, so rather than putting it all on the front page, you’ll have to click ReadMore on this news article.
Photos and details from the new CA Shop
The ClassicArmy (CA) store has now opened in Mongkok, HongKong and Fragger56 has posted some shots of the new shop in the forums. To see the full post and all the photos please check the forums.
The new CA shop in Mongkok Hong Kong is open. Me being a avid airsofter who lives in HK and has nothing better to do on a saturday, decided to check the place out as soon as it opened.
The CA shop opened at exactly 1:00 PM HK time, with cocktails and various foods, this was obviously invitation only so I just hung around in the general area and looking at other shops on the street. At around 2:30PM most of the official guests started to leave and they officially opened for business. The shop itself must be one of the most nicely laid out and clean airsoft shops I have ever seen in HK and the employees were happy to answer any questions I had.
This may not be a surprise to you but they have the absolute lowest prices for CA parts anywhere. The prices of some parts were so low that i had to ask the employees if someone had made a error with the price tags.
Also the shop only carries CA products for obvious reasons. The shop itself is pretty well stocked for its first day, but they will not have everything in stock until tomorrow.
Also they are selling ALL GUNS at 20% off for today and tomorrow, so if you are in HK you better hurry over.[...] Here is a list of prices for guns and parts I was interested in (all prices in HKD):
G3 Metal receiver (lower+upper) light ver $572
G3 Metal Cocking Tube $300
G3 Stock (inc wiring and endcap) $220
G3 Hi-Cap (500 rnd) $158
M15 CQB/r $2970/ $2376(with discount)
M15 Carbine $1985/ $1588(with discount)
CA249 $5400(full price)The CA shop is accepting pre orders for the CA249 now, it will be available by the end of this month, if the order is placed today or tomorrow you will still get the 20% discount. Fragger56
Scotland to get tougher new airgun laws
Anyone in Scotland thinking that were going to be excluded from the latest round of unreasonable legislation proposals is going to be hugely disappointed. Reportedly the First Minister in Scotland is due to introduce a new licensing system for airguns north of the Border. According to the article anyone wanting to buy an air weapon will have to apply for a permit first, and by the looks of it will also have to provide a positive bucket-load of information about themselves to the store owner prior to purchase. Read the full article to see what the damage is going to be.
SaveAirsoft.org
Several major retailers and other key people in the Airsoft industry have joined forces to help with the start of saveairsoft.org. The aim of the site is simple and whilst the individual efforts of hobbyists can never be discounted or replaced, an organised front is at the same time also needed to help pool resources and efforts. From a hobbyist point of view they look to distribute as much educational material as possible, through retailers and sites alike. There’s also a worthwhile online petition hosted there where everyone in the UK is encouraged to have their say (I understand that this material will then be presented to the appropriate politicians).
Retailers and sites that in all honesty would not normally deal with each other have set aside differences in the worthwhile effort to help protect the industry they work in and the pastime they enjoy. All retailers and gaming sites are invited and encouraged to pledge their support, help and initiative towards the common goal.
It’s great to see a start to a more unified front being put forward by the companies and organisations involved with Airsoft, and with luck some good in relation to the proposed VCR Bill will come from the efforts. As far as I know, Wolf, AD, Airsoft Armoury, Dragon Valley and Ambush are all involved so far, within a week it’d be nice to see every Airsoft related UK company on there.
If you’re a UK retailer or site organiser please get involved in the effort now, as there is a very real threat to your businesses ceasing to exist by the end of the year. Use it or loose it.
