Inokatsu to release ‘Tacticool’ AKS components and 74N

Ting from Russian Mania Workshop has just been in touch with some news regarding the latest Inokatsu AK components. Now that they’ve released a conversion kit for just about every AK variant known to man, it appears they’re moving their attention to tacticool (also known as raped) AKs:

While several manufacturers released the X47 handguard, Inokatsu will release the accessories for the SOPMOD AK. So that airsofter can complete their SOPMOD AK. They are the trigger guard, safety lever and bolt carrier.

In news that will perhaps stop all of us Russian kit fans from crying ourselves to sleep tonight, Inokatsu also intend to release a 74N variant complete with scope mount:

Besides that, as requested by a lot of customers, the new batch of Inokatsu AKS74 will be incorporated with scope mount. And to be accurate, it calls AKS74N. Last but not least, we have another special offer now which is the complete AK74 AEG (wood furniture) with extra black polymer stock set which means 2 stock sets with a single gun. You can exchange it anytime to fit your outfit. Price is just $480.

Best Regards,

Ting (Russian Mania Workshop)

AirSharp ammo drive system

There’s some news in from Ian at AirSharp covering an automatic support weapon addon for AEG that provies power and ammo. Here’s the release:

Provides an all-in-one solution for AEG power and 5000 rounds of ammunition, all in a standard, 7.62mm, 200-round USGov’t-issued ammo can with all original markings. Will provide a steady flow of 6mm BB’s faster than any currently marketed gun can use them! Universal wire harness included for custom installation, simple 3-wire hookup. This is the standard drive unit supplied with our 1919A4 AEG’s.

We soon introduce a custom “Stinger” version with rifle stock and bipod installed, in a VERY limited edition. This will have self-contained power source and ammunition, so it will be a proper rifle, rather than a tripod-based weapon. It will be a “tribute” to a small (less than ten were built) run of soldier-assembled rifles that were made from aircraft guns.

Images of new ACM G36K Foregrip set

As I mentioned before an unknown Chinese company has released a version of the G36K fore grip and steal barrel set, Keith from RSOV was kind enough to take some pictures of it for us, again full details of this item are still a little vague. But one thing is for sure you can see the quality of this product just from the photos.

Hey Guys,

Sorry not able to have reponse sooner as I just ran down to the courier and and picked up the kit by myself as I know you may rush to have a look of the kit. We are also getting the G36KE stock from another manufacturer but it will have to take 2-3 days,

KeithRSOV.

Found on a Japanese BBS – Marui AK74MN?

It looks like Marui have an AK74 coming, which they’ve called the “MN” variant. Presumeably this stands for “Modernized” as it’s based on the 1991 version. The shot was sent in by Keita M (Cheers!), and a quick dig turned up this thread on Jum213a’s blog on blog.goo.ne.jp.

Here’s the shot:

A direct trasnlation of the text posted with it gives the following er “information”:

With Tokyo [maruibusu] where power has entered into the railroad model of new entry with Shizuoka hobby show the development schedule of AK74MN was notiified quietly with the panel.

89 type time which is displayed because tune stock system probably will be precedes, being quick, it probably is about, sale on end of year?

The neck it is about twist to stop wanting in the choice, MN even with AK74 it is the delightful news where the new AK variation joins to [marui], but for a long time have no other choice but to the AK47 series.

New ACM G36KE

News in from Keith at RSOV is that a Chinese manufacturer is releasing a version of the G36KE, right now details are a little sketchy. But we will release more news and pictures as an when we receive them.

The latest issue ACM is the G36KE conversion kit, which contains handguard and barrel. I cannot say too much about it as I didn’t see it myself but I will  have it by tomorrow (Monday). The retial price is going to be about 60% less than current models on the market.

Thanks a lot and stay in touch, Keith.

Ambush Chobham – an update from the weekend

There’s been an update following the work team that went to Chobham to help rebuild what was destroyed (details of what happened can be found here).

As was posted previously if you can help in any way please do contact Paul on the previous post here.

Here’s the update from Turtle as posted on the Ambush forums:

OK first off before you loose intrest…

We’ve had a work team up there today, and we have sucessfully cleared and made safe the affected area of the safe zone affected.

There is still a lot of work to be done.

BUT

There are problems with organising things at such short notice, Skips (we filled todays…), hardcore, wood ect ect…

So Charlie has asked if those willing to help can pospone utill Sat 2nd of June. This will allow time for Charlie to raise some funds and arange delivery of all the required materials.

Charlie is astounded at the help and suport he is recieving and didnt even expect to have achieved the amount we did today. We basicaly ran out of things to do.

Planning is afoot for rebuilding and generaly refitting the entire safezone, so there will be plenty of work for the 2nd June.

OK now for the boring bit.

What has happened/been affected:

The office, storeroom corridor and porta-cabin are gone. Burnt to the ground.

The big old tent has had the front canvas burnt/melted. HTe same goes for the new tent besides the Shop.

The shop, kitchen and little tent are all fine, although the shop door is in a few pieces.

Unfortunately all the equipment from the site is kept in the office block so that is all gone although the kettle almost survived just the handle didnt…

To end, Charlie is most gratefull for all the support and help he has been offered, from Players, Retailers and Other Sites. AIM is organising an auction of donated equipment from various retailers at Chobham on the 20th of May to pay for materials Charlie is going to organise for the 2nd June.

Thankyou Turtle, (Ambush forums)

News from LA-GunShop

I thought it was time for a quick update from LA GunShop (and their associated blog pages). There’s news from the current BlackHole (Shizuoka) show, but first….

Apparently the HeroArms 1000 round AK mags have a small problem, on the folding stock version the stock won’t fold back properly, see these shots:

If I’m reading their pages right the mags are made by DIBOYS then branded under HeroArms, but I could be mistaken. Price for the mags is 2100Yen per unit.

Now for some interesting stuff, shots and news from BlackHole. There’s a heap of shots which really don’t need much text to go with them other than a list of the highlights (images below):

  • Marui Type 89 para-stock AEG
  • Marui SIG P266 Rail silver/chrome edition
  • Marui GBB .45 GBB cast/prototype
  • Marui GBB MEU cast/prototype
  • Marui GBB Five Seven cast/prototype
  • Marui GBB Desert Eagle 10in reference model
  • Marui EBB P99 DAO
  • Marui EBB PC356 reference model
  • Marui EBB M11reference model
  • Marushin GBB FN Five Seven
  • Marushin GBB FN Five Seven reference model
  • Marushin GBB Moselle M712 Carbine
  • Marushin GBB “Gas ported” M1911-A1

“reference model” means it’s jsut a mock up, “cast/prototype” means they just showed off a 1:1 plastic cast copy with no functional parts or details.

Interestingly there was some news posted on their pages with points towards a voluntary change in the ASGK “self-restriction” power levels:

With 2006 September 6th, it stipulates the self-restriction which the [???] industrial corporation withdraws, the Japanese amusement gun cooperative (ASGK) corresponds to various laws such as gun sword method /PL method, produces and it sells the product.
When it collects simply on this store side in regard to output, it becomes like below.

Regarding the product which discharges the 8mmBB bullet: “You use the 0.34gBB bullet, room temperature 20 – 35 C whichever air temperature between being 1.40 joules as a standard, you do not exceed 1.54 joules”,

Regarding the product which discharges the 6mmBB bullet: “You use the 0.20gBB bullet, room temperature 20 – 35 C whichever air temperature between being 0.80 joules as a standard, you do not exceed 0.90 joules”,

The structure which prevents remodelling which discharges the 6mmBB bullet with output above regulation value making use of the product which uses the 8mmBB bullet, is adopted.

* Excerpt and main point being something which it omits from manufacturer announcement of the Japanese model newspaper G-TOP PRESS 2006/9 month number, it does the contents above.
* It added corrected air temperature condition and the like.

Now reading that it looks that as of this year all ASGK gear is limited to a max of 0.9J for 6mm gear and 1.54J for 8mm (at room temperature).

New X-Fire VZ.85 muzzle

Tomo over at X-Fire has mailed in to say that they new muzzles for the Marui VZ Scorpion are now in stock:

This time we use S45C(iron) to get reality. Please jump to that page or at the top of the page http://www.x-fire.org
