I thought I’d post a few updates from the forums:
- International sales open - EU/international and USA areas of the sales forums are now open to all users. Previously all were restricted to users with more than 100 posts, however this was not applicable to international sales. We think the new adjustment strikes a bit of a balance between safety, security and usability.
- New contributors wanted - We’re looking for as many news editors as possible. If you think you can bring something new to the site and your own identity and contributions to the readership then please do let us know.
- Upgrade roadplan - The forums have been upgraded, there’s more to do, but there’s lots of new features. It should be faster and it’s a whole heap easier to use. Check out the forums and see what you think. The new look isn’t complete and there’s more to do, however the back end is mostly complete.

We’re about to run an upgrade on the forums software. To make you all aware, the forums are pretty vast and therefore the time it’ll take to get a complete copy of the current version of both files and sql..
Backups are currently running, but are expected to take up to two hours.
We then have a complete forum upgrade booked which will be run by the authors of the software that we use. This will happen in the next 48hrs or so.
Unfortunately we will loose the present look of the forums as the skin we have is not compatible with the new version, however we’ll have a new one created as soon as we can after the upgrades.
Catch you later folks.
NB: At around 2300 GMT the site is going to be completely backed up, so this may result in some slow access rates at this time.
The forums will be locked down at around 2300 so that the upgrade can take place some time in the next 12 hours and so that no data is lost.
Update 2300: Forums are now locked, DB backed up and files in the process of duplication. Upgrade pending of the software, we’ll keep you posted.
Update 1600 16/10/07: Okay forum is now back up, skin is set to default at the moment, but we’ll get a new one sorted ASAP at the moment the forums lack the navigation system to the left, but that will all get sorted as we go.

Jamie from the First and Only team has been in touch with details of their new urban site, based near Manchester:
Our urban site (Orma Mill) is just outside Rochdale in a small town called Whitworth ,Hall St off the A671 Market Street. The site is a old mill with a superb environment to play C.Q.B .(close quarter battles ) , perfect for airsoft. Our open days our on Sundays and anyone is welcome from beginners to vets. We aim to have a great laugh and some quality airsofting. Please book using the booking threads on the forum or drop me, an email jimjogg@hotmail.com or a call. 07786075129. We vary our gaming format but try to have a running theme with interlinking missions to give you a military simulation feel.
Jamie (First and Only)
To help you find the site here’s a link to a map site : http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?oe=UTF-8&…p;tab=wl&q=
just type in the post code Ol128UA
I have to say, as the pictures demonstrate, this site looks truly awe-inspiring (it reminds me a lot of Lightfighter Urban when it first opened, in terms of scale)

With the increase of parts available in Multicam hydrographic film, I start the series of reviews on the first products to hit the market, Magpul’s PTS MIAD Grip and CRT Stock.
Now I would like to start off by apologizing to the team at Magpul who kindly sent us these for review about 3 months back.
Due to the nature of the items I decided to go one step further and get one or two other things coated before doing the review as the items sent to us from Magpul were the Multicam coated versions of the two items and the look of the gun they were placed on looked slightly off balanced and didn’t do the parts justice.
Also with the release of other Multicam parts I thought it would be better to hold back from publishing the review as I will now run a series of reviews on Hydrographic filmed parts.

One final news post before bed. Frank from Firesupport has been in touch to announce they now stock the latest version of the Airsoft Innovation Propane Adapter:
Firesupport are now selling the Airsoft Innvoations propane gas adapter.
This is a cheap (but smelly) way to fill your GBB magazines.
It will fit on Bernzomatic propane canisters that are available from B&Q and other large DIY stores.
Product link http://www.fire-support.co.uk/store/comersus_listCategoriesAndProducts.asp?idCategory=84
Thanks
Frank (Firesupport)
For those unaware AI Propane Adapters are frankly a must for anyone planning on using ’green’ in their replicas, and can truly save you a great amount of money if you frequently have a gas powered weapon in the field. Just compare the price of a large Bernzomatic canister to your usual sized green can and you’ll see a difference. Just remember to get some silicone oil and read the adapter instructions. Night all!

Illness has rocked the station staff for the past two weeks, so much so that we had to cancel last week’s September 27th live show. Not sure what to do for the weekend? Can’t afford to go skirmishing? Perhaps this will be of interest…
As a thank you to all the players who have supported Elite Action Games and the opening of Dorking we are running a free night game on Saturday 6th October, probably the last one of the year. The format will be a combination and AEG and pistol games, patrolling through the open scrub, fort and reel areas. Players will be able to continue into the early hours, but grenades will need to stop after 10pm.
All players will need their own weapons as we will not be renting guns during the night. Equally players are responsible for overnight equipment (tent, sleeping bag, food and drink). Typically these games normally end around midnight with people chatting till the early hours and having a few drinks around the campfire.
The night game is free to any players attending the Sunday game, should you wish to attend the night game only, please contact john@eliteactiongames.com.
Lastly, developments on the new safezone are underway, with a forty foot by sixteen section already complete. Building works will continue throughout the winter months with plans to build a Minimi bunker (as there seems to be so many of them), Vietcong styled village and whatever else we can dream up…
Regards
John (Elite Action Games)
