So
we’ve all ready about it, drempt about it (well okay.. maybe
not that many of us), and some of us have bought them, so what’s
the DragonArms G36KE really like?

First impressions of the kit is that it is very
small, and comes supplied in a shoebox sized carton, but don’t
let the size put you off.

So what do you get in the box? Well inside
you’ll find the following parts:

Longer foregrip
KE carry handle
barrel extension
KE flashhider
2x grub screws
1x new front bolt (allen key fitment)

First looks: The kit comes nicely packaged
in separate sealed bags, with the metal parts bagged separately.

Fitting: Fitting the kit is dead easy,
and possibly the easiest kit I’ve ever had to install. This
is mainly thanks to the simplicity of the G36 design, which
TM have copied fairly accurately. Remove the front grip pin
(push it out) and then slide the front grip off. Now undo the
grub screw underneath the flashhider and remove the flashhider.
It may be a little tight, so you may have to thread the flashhider
off. As the threading is 14mm reversed on the muzzle so remember
to twist it the right way.

There are other methods to building the KE, but
this is the easiest I found. Now thread on the barrel extension,
the metal parts for me fitted like a dream, but be careful the
metal here (both in the TM and the DragonArms gear) are not
that strong, so be careful not to cross thread the pieces otherwise
you will wreck it.

The next part is to slide on your new foregrip
(don’t fit the flashhider yet). Simply push on your grip and
refit the original TM foregrip pin.

Now you can add your flashhider. Note that in
the G36KE’s initial state you can only fit the mini battery
inside the grip, to fit a larger battery you need to remove
the TM fuseplate plastics.

Appearance

5/5 -looks much better than the C but
thats only my opinion

Build
Quality

3/5 – This could have been a 5/5 if the foregrip
would be more sturdy

Value
for Money

2/5
– I think you don’t get enough for your money

Overall
Potential

3/5
