A wish, a prayer, & an MP5K.
The above mentioned MP5K arrived last Wednesday - the Marui AEG version (I wanted it to still work next week ) - and I am pretty much stunned by it even now. Its the 10th Marui AEG I've got and it is, simply, one of the best.
I wasn't expecting it to be at all, but the only immediate differences between any other AEG and this little puppy are the barrel lengths and the obvious aesthetics. An M14 may have the longestestest barrel ever, but in all but open woodland or a field this little baby will be just as effective, and immensely more useful due to its wieldliness about 80% of the time.
I was shocked and awed by its range, this tiny tearaway pelts them little placcy buggers just the same as all but the sniper rifles, and on the face of it (and without any tweaking of the hop, which I'm terrible for anyway) its got 90% of the range of all but the M14 and, I suppose, the AUG as well.
Just a quick note to anyone who wants a tiny tiny gun that still kicks some; this is a damn good bet. At less than £100 from Guns N Guys its amazing value, and I think I may have discovered why the MP5s are so popular (besides Die Hard ) as well - those 200-round hicaps need only winding fully once Mebbe a couple of extra turns in the middle, sometimes, but I have had a few mags totally emptied after just prepping it with a full wind at the start.
Bonza.
How amazingly useful that is!! I just never noticed that on my SD6, but I guess I didn't even know how to properly wind hicaps at that stage, and really haven't shot that in about 2 years, ever since I took a hacksaw to the back of it
The birthday skirmish on this coming Sunday will witness just about the biggest bloke coming along with the tiniest gun; 6ft 5" Dan the tree-felling man; and the best of luck to him - not that he will need much. He also approves of the awesome little package this gun is and to be honest I'm a tiny bit jealous that I can't use it as backup myself
I will have her back soon though, I just need some more long hicaps and I'm sure we can have a lot of fun together
