Hokay, so......

First update in a while. I'm back in the UK, and have been for the last month. All in all, Greece was *beep*. No airsoft. No Dr Pepper. No cute girlfriend. Boss was an ######. Night in greek jail, followed by voluntary exit from country after boss refused to organise work permit, preferring instead to hire another sucker. Blew most of my savings from the job returning.

All in all, not cool. However, I now have a new job and I am slowly building up my savings again, which has meant no airsoft spending for a while.

Fortunately, in my capacity as a moderator and news poster on this here forum of ours, all is not lost.

First of all, I have some freebie 'test' kit headed my way - a supercell DV claymore, a pair of of Blackhawk SOLAG gloves, and a pair of ATF sigma assault boots. Review of the boots is already up in the database, the Solags are still being tested, and the claymore review is half done - Still waiting on some info from airsoft scotland on that one.

Second of all, I actually purchased a CA249 from Argo (a fellow Dark Angel) before I went away, and this past weekend I took a trip down to London. I go down fairly regularly to marshall and play at Electrowerkz, but the purpose of the trip was to also finally collect this beast of an AEG.

I honestly think I'm in love.

So, I get home having not had chance to actually use it at the event as Argo met us in the pub afterwards. Unpack it, connect the battery. Pull the trigger.

The noise is heavenly. None of the sewing machine whine that you so often get, this is a growl.

I've never encountered a gun that's so much fun to shoot. I have emptied an entire box mag of 2700 rounds into a bullet trap just for the sheer joy of firing it, and I've not even taken it to a skirmish yet.

Now I have a machine gun.
