Much Walting...
I've finally got round to writing up the blogs on whats happening or going through my head. Don't worry, they're not worth reading
I've had the most walty week yet, i'm sure.
Wednesday = Paintball
Result:
Speedball REALLY hurts. I take back what i said last week. Getting shot in normal paintball is fine. But playing speedball against a load of S&M nutters with loaded hoppers is a recipe for pain. However, reputation at stake, i held back the tears, screamed out the profanities and managed to win. Two days later, still bruised up, i'm not so sure it was worth it
They say airsoft is a game of honour. A strange phrase, i've allways thought, but compared to some of the little gits who i encountered at paintball, it's true. I ran up behind a barricade, raised my paintball marker inches away from one guys face and shouted for him to surrender. The answer - "no!" You what mate? 300fps, 3g .68 paintball, 3 inches range, just seconds away and he wouldn't surrender? What on earth is wrong with these people? Being a nice person i walked back a few metres, ready to put one shot into his foot, or other non painfull area. He absoultely truckin' laced me. Head to foot, back front and sides. Must have been about 30 rounds. Sportsmanship if i've ever seen it.
Yesterday i got time off work to get to AA Cannock, an airsofter's pilgrimage. I really was suprised with their honesty there. They told me which products to avoid buying, which upgrades to bother with, which to give a miss and so forth. Not only this but they seem to have used and abused every product...ever. I got a chance to have a play with the TM m1911a1, the Cz75 (KSC) , took a look at the madbull 470 and had a quick fondle of the TM type 89. All this and i only spent £8... i feel guilty. But hot damn i need a TM .45
Last night i went along to the local air rifle league as usual and fingers crossed, i've got a place in the team. Only time will tell... And tomorrow - airsoft at "First and Only" up at Matlock. I honestly can't wait
Lastly I've found the daddy of cheap batteries:
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Vapextech-Batteri...sQ3amesstQQtZkm
8.4V 3300mAh for....... £15.45 posted!!?? There must be a catch? Well, no, as far as i can see, theres not. I've used one in my M16 for the past year now, no problems at all.
They even do 4300mAhs for £25 posted!!!
I bought one of their 8.4V 1200 packs as well for my carbine. Needed the lead swapping over, but once shown how to do it, it's a 30 second job.

It was sent out late though, so i recieved a free gift with it. But not the usual useless free gift - but i got a torch/compass keyring and a keyring AA battery tester. Gucci!
LJ out.
