In the beginning...

Hi and welcome. If for whatever daft reason you are reading this (I assume terminal boredom set in.) you decide to continue please remember that I am quite insane and this is the place where I plan to vent my various frustrations, observations and thoughts. These are my opinions and not those of the administrators of this fine Airsoft forum...not that they are any less insane.

Where to begin...

I guess the beginning.

Many years ago at the "Riggs Resort" in Okinawa I kept hearing Corpsman talking about a sport where they took large gas tanks and replica guns and shot little yellow pellets at each other. Back then I was much more interested in the real steel guns that my Uncle Sam was letting me shoot than paintball (which is what I assumed this was...) games. I thought it was a game for little kids. Little did I know this strange sport would become my passion.

Fast forward MANY MANY years (God...I am so old.) to the early part of this millennium. I am now a church youth minister and airsoft is all the rage with the young boys I have the pleasure of teaching every Sunday. All they talk about is "Springer Colt!" this and "Bio BB!" that. They beg me and beg me to play since they know I am a really great shot with real steel guns. I grudgingly agree and I like it.

Fast forwards about four years and I am now totally addicted.

Today I have a modest arsenal with all of the guns being custom made "One off" originals by yours truly. (I seriously need to post up some pictures. For real...) I need to go to airsofters anon. Seriously, I dream airsoft. One day I would like to have a business where I make custom guns for international customers. I love the look my guns get. They are crazy and they are my babies. Originally I got into airsoft as a way to save money. Real steel eats a lot of cash. The only problem is that I spend more now... cest la...

I better cut this short before I get really rambling.

Thanks for reading about my madness. I hope to use this blog as a tool to present the community with some useful information as well as mark down my random thoughts.

As the Brits say...CHEERS!
