Close right side of receiver



Here you can see the (incomplete and temporary) rear sight, the new bolt handle and the receiver overall.

 

The firing pin handle at the rear of the bolt is what keeps the bolt handle on. On the original, this was a small screw-boring and wrong looking for an Enfield!

 

You can see the stripper clip guide, and the high wall of the opposite side. These are pretty much solid JB Weld, a wonderful (British invented) epoxy. It is reinforced with brass round stock which is embedded into it when it was poured. The moulds were basically waxed paper and masking tape, sometimes a bit of cardboard which was attached to the receiver, then in goes the metal and JB...
