So a long time ago I got to use an AK in Slovakia that had a really nice dust cover rail on. Note how it's nearly identical to the Texas Weapon System rail, except it has the original rear sight on. Since I own the Asura TWS clone, I thought maybe all I need to do is replace the "bridge" to do what the little rail does on top. ^Asura rail. Work in progress: Still need a bit of tweaking, the rear sight sits 1.5mm higher than the original position, so if I cared enough I would adjust the front sight up by the same amount. Gotta come up with a way to put a spring in there to keep good tension, and a few more fitment issues, after that it's ready to get printed in steel!

Reading an article about Detective Inspector Terry Hopkins, Police Officer and Veteran who killed himself on Christmas Eve. And then being angry, angry that the government doesn't look after Veterans yet can push pay rises through (as well as their bloody expenses, isn't that what a salary is for?) and pay for this Brexit cluster*fruitcage* but won't help people it sent into harms way. Angry that people don't really seem to give a *suitcase* as it's not a celebrity, it's not smut, it's not apocalypse level events (though to the family I'm pretty sure it is). Angry that people feel their only solution is to take their own lives because we've stigmatised mental health ("committed suicide") and people don't think they can share their problems and theres not enough work being done by the government to get the message out.

PBS-1 replica arrived for my Bizon. Had to dremel out a bit on the end (and fight the gearbox again after having to take it out to put longer inner barrel in). Despite being non-steel it still got a bit of heft to it and oddly enough makes the bizon front heavy somewhat now (which is what most folks assume the bizon on its own to be when it isn't airsoft wise). I'm sure the longer barrel won't play nice with the cylinder but hey, maybe it will drop the fps down low enough again to make it 5 ft MED again.

TM please make a GBB version of this in the future. This thing just too adorable.

Nothing special, I'm just content. Work is busy, and I'm getting to do more of the design and pricing of jobs, so more in the office pricing jobs at several hundred k, and on site maybe 60% now, instead of being all over the country fitting, which is good as I'm getting older and have a family. Self-employed so I can choose my time off. Venturing into drones, just bought a decent hobby one which arrived today, with a view to buy a half decent one in a couple of weeks. Had a couple of Chinese ones before and I wasn't impressed, but today has really surprised me it's insanely good for a hundred quid. My tax rebate may get hammered as I had a budget, but there are so many sweet dji options... Life is OK. Currently watching a film, got wine and got one of my dogs curled up in my lap. The boy is growing fast (both good and not good, meh!) wife is smoking hot still - she always will be - holiday booked, car is still good etc etc. Life ain't bad. Still not had schnitzel with noodles though!

A foolishly ambitious project, spoiler alert, doesn't work the way I'd like it to. It's a hop unit for airsoft Glock that shoots lasers instead of BBs. Basically like the "laser bullets" you get with real steel guns but for airsoft, with the blowback. It takes the pressure which is usually meant for the BB to push a switch to close the circuit of a laser diode where the inner barrel is usually positioned. Splits into two for assembly. Testing the plunger / button: Assembled, now tested in a gun with plenty of gas in gun. Predictably, with the recoil shaking the gun around (This is on a steel slide Glock with Volante BBU), the target dot isn't very useful, it creates a streak instead of a clean dot, here you can see a test with a nearly empty mag, where the very last shot does not cycle the gun, here you can see a clean useful dot. So that pretty much brings me to the end of this project as far as I'm prepared to go for now, oh well, was fun and learned a lot in the process.

I mean it's not very friendly, but on the other hand, why make a big thing out it (the initial situation). *suitcase* happens.

In case anyone is still interested, slow trickle of new stock available on their website now. It's a faint pulse but still alive nevertheless.

"Hey Jim what's the best way to show off our new toys which specifically make the gunshot louder" "Compare it against a pistol that doesn't have the toy!" "Great idea. I can't figure out what's missing though." "How about music which makes it really *fruitcage* hard to hear the difference?" etc.

Another little un. Had this Prime SIS Ultra kit in my projects stash for years, finally got around to gettin Negative Airsoft to build it for me on an old WA Kimber Parts gun I had. Was hardest WA Build he's ever done apparently, partly down to old knackered donor gun and partly down to kit. It loos lovely but design is very poor. Where the SIS is cut into slide the remaining metal is way to thin and infact can me flexed with finger tip. Anyway great job Luke thanks a lot. This one will be a safe queen I think. lol

Although most stores will probably not send theses outside of Asia, I thought a lot ofpeople may be interested in these: old-school AR15s (XM177, Colt Commando, Mk.18 Mod. 0 and 1, all sorts of 416 and M27 and more). From what I can see, save for a few details, they all have period corect markings and uppers and lowers. For just 170-190 Euros. http://www.bbgunzerker.com/search?q=e%26c

Yes this is massive. Its easy to say 'just get your three games in' which is fine if you are over 18, but it really *fruitcage*ed over younger players, and to be honest I reckon a big % of airsofters back in the day got into it when they started getting thier first paychecks aged 16-17ish. Me and my friends got our airsoft guns aged 13-15 and it peaked at 16-17 before we all went to uni etc. A mate of mine was flipping airsoft guns from zeroin and making a good profit too. Its hard to do that nowadays. My dad would drop us all off at GZ then come collect us at the end. Now i see VERY PATIENT parents waiting in the safe zone ALL DAY for reasons im not exactly sure and it breaks my heart!! If I'm going to rant i think alot of sites have done a shameful job of accomodating younger players - there should be a system where a younger player can 'rent' a gun of thier choice which is owned by, and kept at the site. As for here i've said it before and im not THAT bitter but the main reason this forum is dead is cause sales were restricted, and whilst they are open now i think its just too late. Yes facebook plays a part but AFUK is thriving and zeroin is still the best place for classifieds. VCRA aside I think airsoft in the UK is better then its ever been. So if anyone is thinking about getting back into it i really do reccomend it. Everything is better and for the most part cheaper, there are more sites and importantly way more cool sites... eg portsmouth has ucap bunker (d day tunnels) ucap redemption (former prison) and south coast cqb (former army barracks as seen in bad lad's army).

Aye, it's as old as warfare itself. Just it's far easier to come across with the advent of social media. It shouldn't be down to charities to pick up the pieces, to have to rely on people's generosity as opposed to the responsibility of the government.

I'm not taking a poke at anyone, but it's pretty simple, if you don't come on.. that's one less person. Not saying anyone 'has' to use the site either you gotta do what you gotta do.

Nerpa vest with a condor belt thrown in by the seller. Spent quite some time tonight adjusting it to fit and still having moments of "Why do I eat so much!" Can report that the pouches will hold Bizon mags (came without dividers already so figured might as well test it). Whether or not they come flying out when moving at an angle has yet to be seen. Debating how to go about getting what are likely paintball stains out of it.

I found myself on Arnies again after god knows how long. While I still have my plate carriers, I really got into LBVs mostly due to playing some Milsim West games from time to time. The rig is a FirstSpear Padded Patrol Harness, pouches are mostly Tactical Tailor, and the butt pack is Velocity Systems.
