  1. Please post your comments about R22's Marushin XM177E2 Plug-Fire Review here, thanks folks. http://arniesairsoft.co.uk/?filnavn=/revie..._pfc_review.htm
  2. That was me reconfiguring SQL to adjust the search term limits (see other threads). Gotta restart things to get new settings running so you just happened to click refresh for the second that I restarted things.
  3. Here's the page to that program that you mentioned: http://www.trendmicro.com/vinfo/virusencyc...e=BKDR_PRORAT.M This is listed as a Malware backdoor program (Backdoor.Prorat, BackDoor-AVW, !!!, Backdoor:Win32/Prorat.1_91, Backdoor.Win32.Prorat.191, W32/Prorat.P@bd, Win32/Prorat.RegInv.20992.DLL.Tr, Win32.ProRat.19.A, BDS/Prorat.19.F, BackDoor.Prorat.2.AE, Backdoor.Win32.Prorat.20992) It runs in Windows so it's not on the website, it's possible that someone has an avatar image that's buggy or has some wierd code in it that's causing a false positive - either that or your own mac
  4. It's for the buyer/seller to verify the information that they are given is correct. The information isnt for us - it's for the buyer/seller to exchange between themselves. Basically if you're buying/selling you should exchange your full name, phone number, address and contact email address with the other party. We recommend that "sticky" details are exchanged, ie. ones that can't be shed easily should an individual decide they want to do a runner.
  5. What about US and International members? Please form your question.. in the form of a question.
  6. I need to tighten up the system so that it can be better controlled as it will receive abuse before allowing full scale use.
  7. I think it's a bit of a jump to say that the cans of 22 sold at local suppliers are unsafe. Take for example a can of hair spray or Lynx deodorant, a lot of them use a flammable gas (butane I think) as a propellant and their cans are the same style as green gas cans. Sure more people need to be educated so that they are aware that green gas is flammable and therefore some simple safety tips, but as for the entire lineup being dangerous? I think that's a stretch at the moment.
  8. Rules and guidelines are all in their dedicated forum, plus forsale rules are at the top of every for sale forum. If people can't find them then.. well there's a problem and it's somewhere between the user and the keyboard.
  9. http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/inde...=40entry93683 I'm going to reorganise the system a bit to make it easier to spot the idots leaving silly feedback. For the moment it' for sales feedback only. May even split it and leave one as a Karma style system, and one for sales feedback.
  10. I think I'll wind down the reputation system so that it's only for use in sales. Children such as a few mentioned to me via PM are getting petty and using it as a means to get back at people. This means that I and mods have extra work to do as I have to run around editing and then banning the members that have run amok. Please don't use threads like this to complain about any problem users, the "report" button is much better. If it's not thread related PM me or a mod to deal with it and it'll be looked into quickly. I've now wiped the reputation records, and all comments on them
  11. Please post your comments here about the AI Propane adater review ( http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/?filnavn=/r...pter_review.htm ) Thanks folks,
  12. Only you can see your own warning level. You get warned for breaking rules or messing around. It's for mod/admin info, as it gives us a running total and idea of a user's status. As for the limit on the rep system encouraging posting that's unlikley as spam posts will just be picked up by myself or the mods and jumped on
  13. Sid: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/inde...ODE=04&mid=1018 Those are the points you've given out to other users.
  14. No user can give more than rep points a day and not more than one to one person a day. No user can have more than 10 rep points added per day, and noone can add rep points until they've reached 50 posts.
  15. I put a bit of work into getting the reputation system online in the forums. Updated: The system can now be used for buyer/seller feedback. Feedback for sales should be made from the relevant links within that topic/thread. I'm sure there's more to add, but as ever it's a work in progess thing. Please only use the system for genuine sales feedback. Abuse of the system won't go down well with the mods here. Update: I've had to wind down the feedback system for the moment as those abusive users that gained warranted negative feedback then used the same system to give nega
  16. As is usual with IPB software there are almost limitless options. I'll probably be tweaking things as we go. You are limited to the number of times that you can adjust someone's profile per day, plus have a total amount of edits you can do a day across the board. At the moment you can adjust one person's rep once per day, and make 10 changes in total. Also a member's rep can only be adjusted a maximum of 10 times a day. ...these figures may change shortly. Mods can adjust and edit things too, so we can undo what people do if needed. It can be set to auto-assign a stat
  17. Currently fixing the skinning bugs in it. Have reenabled it now. It should look better now, plus Firefox users shouldn't get wierd formatting errors. Now.. someone owes me a pizza
  18. I see it more of a recommendation to others and a request from us, the owners/admins/mods here to help keep sales on an even keel. Lets face it.. if you're sending gear or cash to someone that you don't know the least you should know about them is who they are, how to contact them, and where they live. It seems like common sense to me. A few people have been lasy of late and got caught out as most users (even me sometimes) assume the best of people. With the large users base here it's a good idea to cover yourself just in case.
  19. 99% of people accessing the net have an email address from their ISP, or their office, or their college/uni. As for a verifiable home address, phone numbers and addresses can easily be checked against 192.com or the BT Phonebook or the Electoral Role (several free online sites allow you to do checks). It's up to you what you do to check.. but if you're posting to that address chances are it's a real domicile. If they give you a home telephone number that is in Birmingham, but ask you to post to an address in Manchester, well you get the idea. The details listed are what I/we recommen
  20. The URL for all links is printed next to the relevant name/link in the weblinks area. I've double checked and there's no problem with the AirSplat link it's valid. Methinks you've got some pr0n trojan or virus on your system, one can only guess where you've got it from or what it is. Best bet, time to clean your machine, use a decent AV program and Ad-Ware or something similar.
  21. The ForSale guidelines have been updated with some important advice and rules to be observed when entering into trades online: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/inde...p?showtopic=387 It is a requirement that anyone wishing to sell or trade on the boards exchanges his or her details with the other agreed party BEFORE goods or money changes hands. Anyone not wishing to exchange their details with another person for the purposes of making a sale is asked not to post in the Sales sections.

Sadly not yet, there's a limit of 800x600 in the software. I'm waiting on an update from the writers at the moment. I could do it myself, but then I couldn't upgrade things anymore.
  23. Please post your comments here about the KJW Para Ordnance 14.45 Review. Thanks folks,
  24. Please post your comments here about WMH's Metal Body, Wood Furniture, Toyko Marui G3 Custom project here. Thanks folks.
