  1. Does it still have plastic bushings? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Anybody knows the screw size for the retractable stock bar for the buffer tube? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. That's bump firing. If you half pull the trigger to where the microswitch borders the "on" and "off" positions, the vibration from the recoil can cause you to unknowingly release and press the trigger again and double fire. If you dont see any noticable increase in rof then it means you kept your original trigger contacts in good condition and the rof didnt drop.
  4. Because it hasn't been released yet. The "first batch" was not intended for public sale, it was just a few dozen units sent out to testers for feedback. Use the "notify me" button to add your email to the notification list and they'll let you know when it's officially released.
  5. Field test for BTC spectre today at Hudson valley airsoft. I freakin love the spectre, performance was perfect. Not much to say about that, no more semi lockups. The lipo monitoring kicked in as expected when my 7.4v ran out of juice, the motor beeped a few times to let me know, very neat feature! I think my only complaints would be that the trigger is a tad but sensitive, sometimes when i fire semi too fast, it accidentally end up bumping the trigger. I wouldn't mind having a farther trigger pull. But thats just me. Very well worth the money as it takes your tM sopmod to ptw level
  6. If you guys are installing it in the rear, make your life a lot easier by soldering the signal wire and the red battery wire together so when you place it on the buffer tube, it'll fit properly!
  7. wow sac, your 416 is without the spectre? your semi is crispy!
  8. I think I'm shooting like 250fps with .28g. Honestly, i stopped caring about FPS ever since I used my sopmod running stock in Op: Pine Plains. It's all about the hop up! With the r-hop i was hitting man sized targets at 200 ft even at such slow fps.
  9. 7.4v 3200 mah crane battery, inside is very plain jane. Stock cylinder head and nozzle Ics full cylinder sorboed Hornbill metal rack piston, Swiss cheesed and second tooth removed Stock TM gears Systems metal bushings And of course! The spectre! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. FYI... TM sopmod is alive!! All thanks to Frank from BTC, amazing service, and absolutely amazing product. Semi so crisp and so fine!!! http://youtu.be/JDvRKWCSp2s Can't wait to finally play! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. The bolt stop is still mechanical, however the bolt stop arm hit s digital switch on the Spectre. In stock TM, the bolt stop arm lets go of the trigger, but now everthing is digital switch. can't wait to get it fixed!!! AOE, Sorbo pad, BTC Spectre, r-hop tuned to .28g, this thing should shoot like a beast once it's done.
  12. On the Spectre, the cutoff lever is removed, so everything is a digital button now. I will be meeting up with Frank tonight, and he'll be working on my weird possesed gearbox!
  13. It's an army gearbox Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I use stock TM gears. I am currently working with BTC airsoft to figure out the semi issue. As we're both stumped. With all three gears in the gearbox, the spectre doesn't not register the cut off switch being pressed by sector gear as it rotates, therefore firing in full auto only. My gearbox with the Spectre installed! http://i.imgur.com/IaKMZ2S.jpg Also, I had to rewire the entire spectre because the wires are just too thick. Btc used 16 awg wires, way too thick for the sopmod, and it will rip the wire shielding if you try to snake it back underneath the buffer tube upon
  15. It's actually the prototype model, I've been lucky to get it first. It should be dropping anytime soon now. I'm also having issues with it firing semi as I think my bushing is pushing in too much, making the sector gear cam not mesh with the cut off lever, gonna try to deemed down the bushing... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. It is all electrical now, from cutoff to selector, to trigger to even the bolt stop. I am having big issues fitting it through the stock now as the wires are way too thick for the stock tube. Sucks, already torn the wire, gotta re-solder. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Placement of trigger switch Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Installing it now as we speak! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Look what came in the mail today!!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. does bolt m4 have empty mag bolt catch function?
  21. He's back in NYC, will be picking it up from him sometime this week. he said the manual isn't even written, so I'll just do it based on the V2 spectre install! I got my gearbox out and ready for this baby!
  22. A little birde just told me the BTC Next GEN Spectre unit is dropping.. Getting mine this sunday!!!
  23. apparantly Black Talon Airsoft's Spectre FET is about to come out next month for V2, V3 and TM New V2! Rejoice!
  24. It's basically two switches, one for the trigger, and one for the cut-off lever. feature requests (for me anyways) 1. 3 round burst 2. li-po monitoring 3. Active brake on/off 4. full cycle completion 5. ROF adjuster
  25. To answer your question, it depends on how good you are with wiring and soldering. I have rerouted a sopmod to be front wired like socom, it was not a fun project. The reason being is there is almost no room to move the wires around, especially around the bolt stop mechanism. You have to be crafty in the way you place the wires so it doesn't interfere with the bolt stop. Wire gauges I recommend are 20 AWG or 21 AWG. 18AWG is close to impossible to fit.
