Right, since the thread I posted in the techie section hasn't got any response, I'll ask here I'm looking into getting an SRC Krinkov on the basis that, externally it's got everything I need (full metal body, rails, equivalent to vert grip) and internally I'd be replacing everything regardless Therein lies the problem, I already have a TM AK47 and I want the mags to be compatable as it'll save me a few quid And that's what I'm turning to you guys for, can anyone confirm whether or not SRC and TM AK mags are one and the same, and thus are both compatable in both guns? All I will add is that, in terms of the stock, I've found that CA generally have "more solid" solid stocks, if you get what I mean In essence, my G&P Solid Stock creaks a little, not much, but it is noticable at times, whereas CA Armalites I've handled have nil creak whatsoever

Here's something I've been wondering about you guys that paint optics... How do you spray 'em without getting paint on the lense? (I can work it out for optics with flip-up covers ) Just tape off the lense? Also, do you paing the optics seperately or do you do the whole gun with everything on it? Only reason I ask is that I'm looking into doing a camo job on my SL9, just so that externally it stands out a little

Yup, G36's and SL9/8's use the same magwell (I'd know, I have one of each ), so it should work perfectly fine

As with all my guns I do intend to replace all the internals at some point, though the guns I've had longer will take precedence methinks When I do get round to it I'm thinking a Reinforced 7mm Gearbox, 7mm Bearings, Guarder FTK (with a 1J spring instead of the stupidly powerful SP120 they ship it with ), Systema Turbo Motor and a nice chunky large battery Not sure what I'd do the externals though, I reckon it looks quite the part already

Probably This One Here, mainly as G&G make some pretty good external gubbinz Yeah, but a RIS set will allow me to do depraved things to it Besides, I don't see a Vert Grip interfering any more with ground clearance than the drum mag I intend to use with it Plus I'm considering the possibilities of giving it a '203 as well, saying that, I'll probably get the gun and see what it's like stock before I go doing anything with it (CA guns have a bit of a rep for being very weighty )

Slightly random question, but am I right to assume that the CA SAR Taktik Rifle (G3 SG1) is a direct copy of the TM G3 SG1? The only reason I ask is that I intend to put a RIS on it (apparently fits "SG1 series AEGs) and a Scope Mount - should I expect any problems? Thanks

I have to say, for my SL9 (which I got off Gazchap on the cheap ), as I plan to replace all the gearbox internals etc (as I plan to run it on a *very* high speed setup ), I'm happy with my choice of TM as it was cheaper, and in general, the hop is *very* good

I'm happy with my TM-based SL9, and my G36c hasn't failed me yet (though I "fixed" the TM in respect of the "decent internals", I've found TM internals, if not fiddled with, will survive a *lot* of abuse )
