  1. I don't get the MAP craze at all. As I see it, it's a way of carrying quite a bit of kit without having to wear a pack over your rig, yeah, great. But you can't get to it unless you completely doff your rig (or unless you have someone else rummage around in there for you). That seems clumsy, inconvenient and, in a real situation, potentially dangerous.

I just can't see the usefulness, personally, at least not in the HUGE numbers that the latest craze surrounding them seems to be producing. I mean, I'll be the first person to admit that they look cool, but they only seem useful to me in very limited circumstances.

    +1 what Chief said.

  2. Last one was locked. For the love of god, just don't spam. Please.

I know I was guilty of it too, but I stopped. Please do the same - exercise a little self-control and stop it, aye?

Relevant comments are great. Discussion of thing people post is fine, I'd say. But pointless spam, please keep it to a minimum (i.e. none at all).

  3. I am right handed, that is why I have my 550 cord short sling attached on the right.

You might want to switch around the positions of your 3 shingles and your utility on the front of your rig. I don't know about you, but when I got to reload with an M4, I normally grab a fresh mag with my left hand, and cross-draws aren't nearly as comfortable as having it right below your hand.

  4. lol bro, you're better off just saving your money for a while and buying a much nicer M4A1 build.

EDIT: such as G&P, soon to be VFC series, maybe the STAR series? I dunno about those very much...but thats my list from best to last.

I've owned a CA and 3 G&P M4's.  I slapped on a new gen guarder metal body which was sort of a waste because I realized that companies like VFC/GB-tech figured a way to make a working bolt release tab...so reloading is as realistic as it gets, for airsoft that is.

anyway G&P is the brand I recommend.

Maybe I'm behind times, but do you still have to replace a couple parts on the G&P ones? I don't remember exacetly what it was, but I thought that you had to replace like, the nozzle and the tappet plate as they were prone to breaking. Anyone care to clarify?

  5. yep, the biggest disappointment to me with the CQBR is that damn crane stock. It's just too bulky for me and I constantly felt like I was fighting around it.  I didn't want to rely on PEQ box, or rewire the rifle, and I didn't want a battery bag either.  Then I saw a SEAL (IIRC) team photo and one operators had a popflare zip tied to his colapsable buttstock, and another had a stick of C4 in the same place, and it was my eureka moment.

I used a strip of industrial mounting tape (double sided spongey tape) and added the zip ties for extra security.

Dude, why don't you print out a C4 label and tape it onto the battery, or atleast sharpie on "C4" onto the battery. I think it'd look better.

Also, can you pull up and post those pics of the SEALS with the flares/explosives on their stocks?
