  1. If you're interested, you can download US army training manual FM23-35 which is their guide to use of hand-guns. Some good stuff in it. Do a google search for "FM23-35" and, if you come up empty, gimme a shout.
  2. Just wondering how come we can't attach stuff like Excel spreadsheets to posts? Is it deliberate or just a problem with the forum software? If it's the latter, would it be ok if I renamed a .xls file to .jpg then posted it and gave people instructions for how to convert it back? Obviously if posting .xls files is "against da rulez" then I don't wanna do it.
  3. Mmmm. Might as well be honest. After posting that I wandered off to try it and it's actually more like 15 seconds to unload all 28 shots, maybe a little less.
  4. Seriously, I dunno if I made it sound worse than it is. I know Rizzo says that the trigger pull is VERY heavy but I find it to be smooth and predictable. I can empty the 28 shot magazine in about 5 seconds and all the BBs will be within 1" of each other at 10m. I've said it before... I didn't really want a TM Mk23. I bought it for the accessories. The plan was to then part-ex the gun for a KSC, which was the gun I really wanted. Having used the TM Mk23 I am now thoroughly confused. The TM Mk23 is an exceptional gun in the field. To put it in perspective, it chrono's hotter than all AE
  5. Every time I see a Glock with a home-polished slide I think to myself "Teenager scratches paint and decides gun'll look cooler with a polished slide". I think it's the law or something. We've all done it at some point or another. And I'm pretty sure we've all looked back on it, afterward, and thought "Awww, b0ll0cks!"
  6. I must be a detail junkie. I did exactly the same thing. I then sat watching TV for about half an hour and kept glancing at the P90 silencer with the "Subsonic" lettering on it and across at the Mk23 silencer with ".45 ACP" lettering on it. After half an hour I snapped and swapped the silencers back to the one with the correct lettering on it was with the correct gun. Doh!
  7. *screen-grabs post of Antagon praising a CA product and an AEG as well!
  8. Must admit, confused the cr*p out of me. I found that if I had Arnies website open in one IE window and I clicked a link in a different IE window I'd get a framed "404 Page not found. Link may be outdated" error in the Arnies window. *still confusled, but at least thinking it's not my fault now.
  9. Incidentally, neither of those guns, in the pic above, is an M1a1. They're both 1928's. The M1a1 had the charging handle on the side, rather than on the top.
  10. Was I using the wrong URL or have you ammended the link? To get to the page I posted I simply followed the links on your main page. *confused
  11. Go here: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/?filnavn=/a...chbox/index.htm The rest of the pages seem to be missing. Apologies if this has already been noticed before. Seems a shame for it to be missing though.
  12. Indeed. Disable post counts and turn Off-Topic into "stupid forum". Great idea. What?
  13. To be honest, looking through this thread, the thing I'm most jealous of is the vast variety of custom stuff available for 1911s. FFor me, it's a shame that some of the airsoft manufacturers don't devote more of their time to making some of the stuff that people want for alternative guns instead of simply creating more and more "pimp" parts for 1911s. Don't get me wrong, as bits of engineering some of the pic's on here are marvellous. I couldn't give two sh1ts for a real-steel HRT (or whatever) but, looking at a full-metal airsoft version, it's easy to see that some of you guys have pu
  14. That's a P90TR. The stock is a kinda grey colour. Basically, I took a bunch of pictures of the gun and the black receiver kept on coming out as a black blob. I then tried bunging darker and darker elements into the background (hence the black vest etc) until I fooled the flash into lighting the receiver properly. The colour of the stock is just a result of the receiver being lit so it isn't a black blob on my monitor. Incidentally, I bunged the watch in purely as a highlight. I wanted to see how much it'd burn the image. If you compare the colour of the G19 frame (black) to the colou
  15. Quick pic of my P90: A couple of things... Can anybody tell me if that pic looks particulary dark or bright? I ask cos I suspect my monitor of gfx card produces a slightly dark picture. On most games I have to wind the gamma setting up a bit before I can see stuff properly. I also find that some of the gun pic's on here just look dark to me. If that pic looks OK then I know I'm somewhere near. Incidentally, related to this, anybody know where I might be able to download a half-decent (and free) gamma and colour correction tool from the interweb? Lastly, can somebody give
  16. Would it be possible to have a feature whereby an entire thread could be downloaded to a users PC as either a .html or .txt file at the click of a button? It seems, to me, that there are often threads which are interesting but too long to read in one go, or contain information which is handy for reference. I know it's possible to save pages manually as .html files but it requires for the user to go through page by page to do the job tidily.
  17. Well, those L96 pic's have just about killed my internet connection. See you on page 15. [edit] Yippee!
  18. * checks TM catalogue. Ahhh.... I thought it was the 550 they killed and they left the 551 alone. Turns out the 552 is a whole new gun. Well, whaddayaknow! I really should learn to read japanese.
  19. Let us know when the burst-fire setting packs in.
